CHAPTER 43

Kenzo, Keysha and the Emperor. The three people only saw Kevin from afar who continued to walk back and forth.

Kenzo tells the Emperor and Keysha about Ayesha's life before divorcing her husband. Making Keysha fellow women feel furious, Keysha shuddered in horror to imagine if his life reached like Ayesha, in a mental breakdown and ended in betrayal.

"Ken, will Mama accept Ay?" Tanya Keysha hesitated.

"I don't know, Key."

"Pa, what do you think of Papa?" Ask the Emperor.

The Emperor was silent for a moment, "Papa believes in Mama's decision, Papa is sure Mama is not a selfish person."

"As Papa, will Papa accept Ayesha if Mama accepts?" Ask Kenzo to know.

"If Ayesha is now a free woman, there's no reason not to accept her, unless Ayesha is still tied to marriage, that's another story." The Emperor replied, which makes sense.

"On Ayesha's status?" Ask Keysha.

The Emperor smiled at the other daughter. "Key, Papa also has a daughter. Papa's heart also hurts if Papa's daughter is treated like that. What does status mean? If Kevin is really happy with Ayesha why not get blessed?"

Kenzo and Keysha smiled, they were relieved to know that their father did not mind Ayesha's status. But the decision remained in Audrey's hands, and the Emperor always followed Audrey's decision.

After nearly an hour, Ayesha and Audrey finally walked out of the Emperor's study. Kevin immediately approached Ayesha and how surprised Kevin was when he saw Ayesha's face that looked so swollen.

"Oh..." Call Kevin worried.

"Kev, take Ayesha home first." Audrey said with the mimic of the plow can not be guessed.

Various speculations continue to dwell in Kevin's mind. Could it be that the mother rejected Ayesha's status and made Ayesha cry? But Kevin did not get the answer because both Audrey and Ayesha just kept quiet and did not say anything. Kevin just deduced the answer from Ayesha's face that looked puffy.

Unspiritedly Kevin nodded. "Come on Ay, I'll drive you home."

Ayesha who had said goodbye to Audrey while still inside was only looking at Audrey's face and Audrey nodded faintly. Ayesha says goodbye to the Emperor, Kenzo and Keysha, their faces filled with curiosity, but just like Kevin, seeing Ayesha with a face made the Emperor, Kenzo and Keysha just shut up and speculate for themselves.

On the way home, they were just as silent. Ayesha realizes that her journey is not to her house, but to the border of the city where Kevin lives.

"Kev, why don't you take me home?" Ayesha asked in a voice quite raucous as most were crying.

"We need to talk first."

"There's nothing to talk about, Kev. It's already night. Let's take me home."

"No, Ay."

"Sister Andrew will look for me later."

"I've sent Andrew a message to take you tonight and Andrew trusts me."

Hearing that Ayesha just kept quiet and followed what Kevin said. Maybe it is true if they also need to talk to each other to make sure what their relationship is going forward.

In almost an hour, they arrived at Kevin's apartment and Ayesha got into it. Ayesha spread her gaze as if exploring some time back, Ayesha quite remember when she had not returned to her family, Kevin who saved her, kevin also who helped her life.

"Let's sit down, Ay." Take Kevin.

Kevin nodded.at least a warm brown can make it a little more rilex.

Kevin waited for Ayesha in the television room and before long Ayesha came carrying two cups of warm chocolate and put them on the table. Ayesha sat quite far away from Kevin and that certainly made Kevin. Sit down near Ayesha.

They were just as silent, confused as to what to start saying and somehow no one wanted to start the conversation. Ayesha still feels disbelief if Kevin's family is so accepting that he even treats her so gently, Ayesha is so moved by Audrey's treatment of her that she is so able to accept Ayesha as she is. While Kevin thinks that Ayesha's silence is a form of disappointment and heartache because it has been rejected by Kevin's own mother.

"Come...." Kevin finally called Ayesha first.

Ayesha was silent because she was so nervous.

Kevin grabbed Ayesha's hand and held it tightly. "Whatever Mama says, please forgive me, Ay." The words that came out of Kevin's mouth made Ayesha look Kevin in the eye. "I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you, even if my family doesn't accept you, I'm going after you, Ay. And I'm asking you please don't stop me." Another imbibing.

Ayesha scrunched her forehead, in her mind maybe Kevin does not know if his mother is so accepting Ayesha? Could Kevin have thought that his mother rejected Ayesha as the woman Kevin loved.

Kevin changed his seat and knelt with both knees in front of Ayesha who was still sitting on the sofa and his hands still hold Ayesha's hands.

"Let's fight the same, Ay. I love you, I'll protect you, I promise I won't let you get hurt by anyone, trust me huh?" Kevin kissed Ayesha's hand and suddenly Ayesha pulled one hand and rubbed Kevin's head gently, making Kevin look up and look at Ayesha's face.

Their gaze is locked, Ayesha can see the love that is so great from the gaze of Kevin and Kevin also see there is love in the eyes of Ayesha who is there for him.

"Your mom..." Ayesha said for a moment. "You bless us, your mama accepts me, Kev." Ayesha's half-whispering speech made Kevin narrow his eyes.

What did Kevin really hear? Did the mother really accept Ayesha and not hurt her?

"We're too far away thinking that's not about your mama. I'm sorry, Kev. Knowing your Mama made me realize that not all mothers-in-law are as evil and cruel as my former mother-in-law." Ayesha again.

"Well, what did Mama say to you?" Kevin asked as if he wanted to know what his mother was talking to Ayesha.

"Mama just said if Mama saw the loving look from your eyes for me, Mama also said that I would no longer limit my heart and would open up to reciprocate your love."

Hearing that Kevin felt in disbelief, between happy but he was afraid if everything was just his expectations were too high.

"Be... Is that true, Ay?" Kevin still couldn't believe it.

Ayesha nodded, her happy tears coming down her cheeks. "But give me time, Kev. I still want to believe in myself."

Kevin shook his head quickly. "I won't let you convince yourself, I'll help you believe in yourself if I'm the best for you, Ay. I'm not gonna let you go again. We're getting married, so I'm gonna propose to you in front of your parents."

Hearing that Ayesha laughed a little. "It's late, it's even midnight, Kev."

Kevin smiled, "Then tomorrow I will come to your parents to say my point, and now you stay here and sleep in the room with me."
