Chapter 19 What Happened to Zakia?

"Why is that much money, Kia? If it was just to buy wound medicine in the pharmacy, of course, it would not take that much money!" bryan asked Zakia.

"Yes, Mom! I also refused to give Grandma a grandchild, Mas! But the man insisted that I take the money. The grandmother also insisted that I not refuse, I feel bad for them, Mas!" zakia answered honestly, she was actually very afraid that Bryan would feel offended.

Zakia was very afraid that Bryan was offended, coupled with Bryan's condition that had not recovered. Zakia did not want to burden Bryan with mixed thoughts.

Zakia nodded obediently, after which she went straight to the kitchen to do her job. While Ms. Siska had gone to buy food with the money Zakia had gotten from her grandmother and granddaughter. They were not even offered at all and were only told to cook if they wanted to eat.

It's been two weeks since Bryan came home from the hospital. But his condition is still not recovered as well, due to a bone fracture in his leg that should need maximum care, only treated by Zakia with natural remedies that he learned how to make it from his mother.

But Bryan was quite able to walk limped while wearing a cane, no need to use a wheelchair anymore.

"Mas! I was looking for a job for today, Mom! My place of work that was not open yesterday, Mom! There will be no deposit for Mama if I don't look for work!" said the neat Zakia.

Yep! the words of Ms. Siska who said that Zakia had to pay all the money she spent on Bryan's treatment were true. Every day, Zakia had to deposit money to Miss Siska to pay off the money that Bryan had used for treatment. 

Every day, Zakia would go to the market or to the stalls that received employees or just wash dishes to get a wage. At first Ms. Siska did not agree that Zakia would work like that, but in this situation and her job also pariah time, Zakia could only get a job like that every day.
