Chapter 36 Men in White Dress

Bryan rubbed his eyes repeatedly to make sure that he was not dreaming and that he had completely woken up from his sleep. Bryan rubbed his eyes a few times, but the man in white still remained beside him, meaning it was all real.

Bryan remembered his late father who used to also have a stature like that man, maybe because of the big problems he was facing then his father's face was shadowed in his memory. Bryan will never forget how much he was so dear to his family when his father was alive. But that all changed drastically after his father died, let alone Bryan who was expected to be the backbone for his family. Coupled with the incitement of the word in-law makes Bryan further away from his own family.

"Why are you sleeping here, son?" ask the man in white clothes.

"Whose father?" Bryan asked back.

"The father is the owner of this house, son! You just came home from the mosque because of the heavy rain and you also did not have time to bring an umbrella when going to the mosque for Maghrib prayer. Then who are you and why are you sleeping on the porch like this?" the father asked again after explaining that the house where Bryan and Zakia were sheltering was his home.

Zakia who heard the conversation of her husband and the man also woke up.

"Sorry, Father! We were raining and finally we decided to take shelter for a while on the porch of your house. I'm sorry if we made you uncomfortable with us being here" Bryan said.

"That's not what you mean, son! I mean, why don't you take shelter at home. At home there was a mother who just happened not to go to the mosque. Your wife also seems unwell" said the father again.

"No need, sir! We do not want to bother, we are also quite happy because you do not mind because we have dared to take shelter on the terrace of the Father's house. My wife's condition is not good, sir because this afternoon had just returned from the hospital and my wife is also currently pregnant young, sir!" bryan explained their condition.

"Oh my God, son! Too bad for your wife, but why are you raining like this when your wife's condition is not good?" ask the father again.

Bryan was silent for a moment, he was eager to spill all his heart out to someone, but he had just known the Father. Bryan was a little worried.

"Sorry! You do not intend to interfere in the affairs or problems that you may be facing at this time. You just asked me why you fell asleep on the porch of this house, son! If you don't want to talk, that's okay! Now let's go in the house first, pity your wife, son!" bring the father to them.

Bryan and Zakia looked at each other for a moment, they did not doubt the goodness of the Father in white clothes, but both of them did not want to bother.

"Who is it, sir? How's the noise outside?" ask someone from behind them.

Bryan, Zakia and the Father turned towards the sound.
