Since The Fall Of Maglindo

Since The Fall Of Maglindo
Chapter 08: The Deal

I knew that now that I was going back to school, Sherly would really hate me, as a whole as she had told me. Even though his role was only as an outsider, I was inexhaustible as he dominated in the problems that I was trying to solve at the moment. It's just that even though he had said the consequences if I didn't comply with what he said, I still didn't intend to let things pass without any interference by someone who should have contributed to his depth.

As proof that I'm serious, by calling Ryuga last night, I asked Sherly's number for her. After getting it so easily, I called Sherly to tell her that I was going to go to school anyway. Of course he suggested that I do the opposite, “Share only your intentions.” But I replied without hesitation the truth that I had actually rounded up from the beginning.

I happened to leave so early that all I got on the way was the sky that still left a little darkness. Of course there was a reason why I did that, there were even a lot of thoughts in my head.

When I got close to class, I saw Sherly leaning against the door. Considering this was morning, so even though my presence was not great, he still realized so that he changed his position to stand straight facing in the direction of me.

“Go.”

His voice echoed in the cold hallway of the school. Indeed it was only a small volume, but I could clearly hear it even though from the beginning Sherly's way of speaking was even more heavy than loud.

Contrary to his command, I kept walking forward without a glaring pause. Getting closer to her, what I saw was not the usual disgust, but the sharpness of hoping that I would not continue with my footsteps.

In the end I managed to get in front of him so now we are staring at each other.

“What Grizelle is inside?”

“Let me say it once more. Go.”

I could feel anger in his words. It's really a tough situation, I haven't experienced this kind of thing in a long time. All I can say is praise Sherly's determination, how great she is.

Normal people who underestimate me will usually choose to pretend not to see right now. After all, I am not an ordinary teenager who only needs companionship. So what made Sherly this hard to get in my way? There is no way that everything I have ever had just disappeared just like that just because it was never honed. A rusty sword can still cut, an arrow that lost its head can still stick, and I who can still think so it should be very easy to resist feelings.

Based on that forced reality, I intend to walk towards the door of my own class. In one step, a hard blow hit my cheek. It was stronger than he ever laid on me. Even if it measures its strength, a professional boxer is still not necessarily able to achieve it. So because so hard, it feels like my body will fall and lucky to support the body using the right leg.

As a result of the blow, I returned not to step, but not to retreat.

“Why did you get to that extent? Only strangers know nothing. Aren't you interfering too much?”

“You don't know.”

“What do you mean?”

Obviously a lot of what I was trying to figure out from Grizelle was almost completely in my head. And he said that I knew nothing, wasn't that too arrogant? Anyway, I have a clear end goal. Not just to treat curiosity, but to save humanity.

Sherly has no role, only a rock that blocks someone from getting out of the cave. His existence was not needed, even when he wanted me to leave, the reason was not at all reasonable. Defending same-sex? Yes, but not either. He should have been quiet, I would explain it was impossible for outsiders to believe. As long as there was an opportunity to live in peace and quiet, what he chose was not what I wanted most, but a hell filled with torment from the depraved under the great name of religion.

At least it's just Grizelle, because I believe she has a big role in this, and it's also related to other words, not me who invited her. While Sherly isn't needed, it's better for her to make out with Ryuga.

I was upset with Sherly, snapped at her by saying “Don't underestimate me, damn it!” after not hearing an answer from him. It was just that simultaneously, a punch back hit my cheek, even harder than before.

“You're disgusting once. Didn't you notice? If you use Grizelle somehow for what you think is important, she could go crazy. Didn't you think of that possibility?”

Of course I know, who doesn't know about it. But if you keep quiet, the victims can become more. I couldn't say that to him, again, I wanted the outsiders as far away as possible to prevent the terrible event from happening again.

“Yes, like you said, I didn't think about it. Even though thinking about it, he was still suitable to be sacrificed.”

Once again, she hit me because she couldn't seem to hold back how upset she was towards me. And then the next punch again floated on the cheek next to it.

Actually I also want to return the blow. Because I am a gender-equal believer, so even if I am told to kill a little girl, if the reason is clear, I will do it. Unfortunately if for example I hit him now, I think the beauty he has will be lost in one hit, or even his life also crashed because of it. Moreover, he is the girlfriend of my friend, it is impossible to do the slightest thing I imagine.

“You became too disgusting to say disgusting. Let me say it again, go!”

“No.”

I got a punch back.

“Go.”

“No.”

He hit me again.

The next one repeated more than 5 times, until finally someone opened the class D door from the inside. All I saw was Grizelle, her clothes were different than usual, this time even her clothes were more exposed due to the short sleeves. It's just that I can't see the wound, because it's covered by a white bandage.

Meanwhile, with his presence, Sherly was surprised as if asking why he even came out. Regardless, I still cannot turn my eyes away from Grizelle. Indeed he was not on his usual expression where it was icy cold, this time he looked like he wanted to become stronger even though I could see fear mixed with sadness on his face.
