Chapter 69.

“Hem...” Rex picked up his drink and was about to sip it. And Paul looked happily with his wicked smile.

But Anastasya's voice was heard.

“Your Majesty!!” Anastasya cried looking towards Rex. He was going to stop Rex from drinking. Rex looked towards Anastasya. He's not drinking. Paul looked annoyed at his daughter.

Earlier, Anastasya returned to her Papa's office again but did not see her papa. Rushing Anastasya towards the palace, he thought that his Papa would go to the palace and carry out his evil plan. He doesn't want anything to happen to Rex. When he reached the palace, Anastasya saw his father talking to Rex. He even saw his Papa deliberately touching Rex's shoulder by pretending to be anxious and checking Rex's condition when the other hand sprinkled something into Rex's drink. And no one realized what Paul was doing, only Ana saw it all.

Therefore, Ana immediately rushed to walk towards Rex and her Papa. When he saw Rex was about to drink his drink, Anastasya immediately called Rex to stop him from drinking it.

Rex turned to Ana and put down his drink. Paul glared at Ana.

“What's Ana?” Rex asked Anastasya. Anastasya went straight to Rex.

Ana immediately bowed respectfully.

Rex and Paul stared at Anastasya.

Rex stared in surprise, Paul and Ana started to walk away but when Rex was about to drink again, Ana immediately brushed off her Papa's hand and ran back towards Rex then forbade Rex to drink. Ana immediately nudges Rex's hand, until the glass falls and breaks. Even the water spilled down with scattered fragments.

Rex is shocked and Paul is shocked by Ana's spontaneous attitude. Even Ana was silent at the sculpting now. He can't say anything. All looking towards Ana, even the servants and bodyguards were also staring and pointing guns at Ana.

Paul looked at his daughter. Ana immediately calmed down and knelt down.

“Im sorry servant Your Grace.” Ana was downcast and did not dare to stare. Rex was astonished. Paul came back and approached.

“Pardon my daughter, she today is being brash and unkind. I will punish him and teach him a lesson.” Paul looked at Ana annoyed. Ana still bowed not daring to stare.

“Call me Ana.” Rex Command. Ana also ventured to look towards Rex. He lifted his face and both of Rex's sharp eyes stared intently at Ana.

“Say what's up Ana?” Rex asked back. Ana did not dare to speak and next to her was Paul already staring anxiously.

“I'm sorry my daughter Prince, maybe today Ana is in a bad condition.” Paul uses reason.

Rex doesn't care what Paul says. He looked hard at Ana. Ana was still silent and staring in fear. She's terrified.

Paul was already terrified, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. He hoped that Ana would not speak wrongly.

But Ana did not budge, she remained silent. Rex finally calls the bodyguards to take Ana into the prison.

“Bring him into jail!!” rex said to the bodyguards and they carried out their duties.

Ana is dragged away by the guards and taken away, Paul staring anxiously. He begged for forgiveness for Ana. Ana is her real daughter. Paul bowed before Rex.

“Your highness, forgive daughter of servant. He may be stressed because you are rejecting the match. Know that Ana really likes you Prince, therefore Ana is acting so erratically. Forgive him, Prince.” Paul begged Rex.

Rex stared intently at Paul.

“Then tell me, what do you know about Ana's strange actions? Why is he so? Is it true only because of matchmaking?” Rex raised his eyebrows next door. He looked hard at Paul.

Paul started to panic. He was confused as to what else to say.

“Can you say something Sir, Paul? If there is none, then your beloved daughter Ana will be punished harshly. What punishment do you think is appropriate?” Rex was just scaring away, but Paul's face seemed to change.

Paul shakes.

“Let the servant who replaces Ana. He was young and didn't know what he was doing. Servant just replaced him.” Paul finally resigned. What a pity Paul said in his heart.

Rex glanced at Paul, then seemed to think.

“I'll think, come back Mr. Paul.” Rex told him to go home. Paul still did not want to go home but because Rex had ordered, then Paul went home with a cocky heart.

Rex goes to the dungeon. But before that, he told the guards to call the palace doctor and tell him to check the broken glass. There was still water left in the glass, he told no one to touch it and only the doctor could.

Then Rex goes to the dungeon. Ahmed hears of the incident and soon follows Rex to the dungeon. In the dungeon, Rex approaches Ana's iron cellar. Rex's approaching.

“Nona Ana....” call Rex and Ana immediately stand up after sitting curled up on the dirty floor of the prison. Ana's approaching Rex.

“Iya His Majesty.”

“What do you know just tell me? I promise to be fair as best I can.” Rex looked towards Anastasya. He knew the girl was good. If it wasn't for Ana it might have been something bad happening to her. That's how Rex thinks.

“Sorry.” Ana looked back down.

“Just tell me honestly.”

Ana shook her head, she did not want her father to be punished. He is willing to sacrifice. Rex sees that Ana won't confess. So Rex racked his brain to find another way.

“Don't protect her, she won't necessarily protect you, Ana.”

Ana was silent. Ana lowered her head.

“So you're willing to replace your Papa here, Ana. I know your father was about to poison me, right?” look at Rex sharply and his eyebrows rise. Ana was startled and stared in surprise at Rex. His eyes were perfectly round because he was so shocked to hear Rex's words just now.

Ana is honest ... but Ana must be dizzy to choose her Papa what is Rex? Ana obviously likes Rex, but Rex is unlikely to return her love, right. And Ana doesn't want her Papa to be wretched either, what a dilemma.
