Episode 4 The destruction of the household
August who looked at his son with a gaze full of anger, could not hold back his emotions and slapped into Rui's face.
"Basic useless child. Get out of my sight" he said with a gaze shrouded in hatred.
Karin and her mother Julia, who were on their way home from the streets around the village, met the Horse Train that brought Ronal home.
Julia asked about Ronal's sudden return when it was still time to teach her son.
Julia who heard Ronal's explanation rushed home as quickly as she could. Then after entering the mansion she immediately ran past her husband who was sitting quietly in the living room and rushed into her son's room.
Seeing the wound on her son's face, Julia's anxious face immediately turned filled with anger. Without being told by Rui, Julia could immediately understand what happened. She immediately returned to the living room, where her husband sat quietly and asked for an explanation from her.
"What have you done to Rui" Julia asked with an annoyed look on her face.
"Be quiet, I don't want to argue with you right now" replied August, who was also upset.
"How can I just shut up to see my wounded son like that. How dare you beat Rui up like that" Julia snapped to her husband.
With a blank look he then replied to Julia.
"He deserves it, do you know that he's a failed child that will only be the disgrace of our family"
Hearing that made Julia's emotions run high.
" Are you crazy? do you understand what you're saying, whether she wants her unfortunate circumstances like that" she shouted at her husband.
"That's already his responsibility as the son of the Nobles. But look at him, even the Baron broke off his engagement to his daughter, what you expect from such a useless child"
"What's important is that he's just a kid, a kid who still doesn't understand anything about your wants and expectations. You should be your parents as his encouragement and support when he is in a state of slump like that" Julia said while still in an emotional state.
"His parents? Will my flesh and blood only tarnish my good name. I also doubt if he is really my son" he replied with a cynical face.
Hearing that, Julia's face was immediately stunned because she was shocked to hear her husband's words. She slapped her husband's face with all her strength.
"I don't think you can say that. I'm sorry I was so stupid to marry someone like you" said Julia, who could no longer hold back her tears.
Julia entered Rui's room and pulled her hand. Rui was only surprised to see her mother crying and carrying herself out of the house.
Karin who was crying held her mother's hand tried to stop her who was about to leave the house.
"Mom, where are you going, why are you crying"
Seeing her child like that, Julia became very sad and gently stroked her daughter's head.
"Why mother, is there anything wrong, why do we have to leave this house, this is our house" Karin continued to cry while holding her mother's hand.
August who saw Julia wanted to take Karin, immediately came to stop her.
"Where are you taking Karin?" Ask August.
"Don't talk to me anymore. What right do you have to ask that. Wherever I go it's none of your business" Julia replied.
"If you want to go, go. But Karin stays here with me. You just go with that useless kid"
Rui who heard that could only be silent and shocked. His mother's face was filled with anger and immediately took him out of the house.
In the car Rui just cried and kept apologizing to her mother.
"Maa_forgive me mother, it's all my fault, I'm useless to make mom and dad like this. I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Rui said in tears.
Hugging her child Julia cries out for sadness at seeing her guilty son and tries to calm Rui down.
"No Rui, it's not your fault. Only because of the selfishness of adults do you have to suffer like this. You're just a kid who still needs the attention and affection of your parents. I'm the guilty one here. Forgive the mother who can not do anything to prevent bad things that happen to you" Julia said by continuing to cry over what happened to her son.
Rui could only blame herself for what had happened. Her mother quarreled with her father, her brother who had to part with her mother, she blamed herself for everything that happened. Rui considered herself a useless Aib.
"I thought that my life in this world would change. I was too arrogant and forgot that I was just a person who always had bad luck. And now my bad luck goes to my mom. I am truly a useless creature" Rui murmured in his heart.
In his previous life as well as in his present life, he felt that he was just a useless person and only made trouble for his family.
He used to be neglected by his family and just thought it was his fault that could not meet the expectations of his family. Even now he considers himself the one who destroyed his own family.
"Is this really my destiny, why should I experience all of this, is it all because of my past sins "he thought as he pondered the fate that befell him.
The old wound in Rui's heart was now re-opened. He vividly remembers himself being left behind by his family, betrayed by his lover, and now has his family destroyed. That made Rui's mentality completely shattered.
In him, there is only the word surrender and surrender because it feels tired to live this life. But he regained his senses when he heard the sound of his mother's cry who continued to apologize for everything that happened to Rui.
His mind and heart were clear again because they remembered that in this world, there were still those who wept for suffering and cared for him. She still has her mother, sister and grandparents. Unlike his previous life, now he still has a family as a place to lean when tired of living his life.
