The Choice of Abah

The Choice of Abah
Assalamu'alikum, Salom

Onci tried to understand and defend all, on the one hand he was just a child and understood his position in the family, he did not want to make the hearts of both parents hurt. Every decision you can make as much as possible he tries to run it.

As a child, sometimes he was annoyed with the attitude of abah who is 'nyeleleneh' and assume that later he is the one who is responsible for the trust that God entrusts, children, wives, and others, the treasures and burdens of hundreds of students. Maybe because he long enough to explore the science of religion, both during his time as a santri, devoted himself in pesantren to become a teacher, and, after that he devoted himself to the community until finally little by little he built a school or madrasah, which again his accreditation wants him to be a boarding school and Islamic boarding school.

Onci also had to balance what became his desire, indeed after graduating pesantren abah wanted Onci to follow in his footsteps as a missionary or da'i. Roughly, he no longer has to be tired to pioneer a career, because it brings a big name abah.

From there, Onci does not want to be under the shadow of his parents, which will become a burden later. For this reason, he began his career by building an event organizer business without asking for a penny of capital from his parents. But often abah and Umi force him to help them develop their educational foundation, which they have pioneered from zero to have hundreds of students, even thousands of students who have been educated in schools that abah and umi wake up with his efforts.

Intimidation, threats and pressure from Abah, who wants to send Onci to the Middle East if he does not want to obey what you tell him, until the business of finding a life partner is involved, it is proven that there is no compromise with him to arrange his application with Nabila, a girl of arab blood who is also the daughter of his best friend, H.Romli.

Until the regular weekly recitation, or tabligh akbar without discussion with him, suddenly asked to go up on a stage that was so large and attended by Habaib, the cleric, and the, government officials and other public figures without telling themselves first, even though after the Dhuha prayer and breakfast together not a word he said, he knew from Ustadz Burhanuddin, he knew, from the mouth of others.

"There is no talk with ane Stadz, if it is asked for a speech you should talk first, what should I say. Nice to meet ustadz here, there are still a few hours to compose a welcome sentence."

"Well, I don't know Stadz either, suddenly abah yai-i told me to organize the event and ask Ustadz Ozi for a welcome, well, I'm talking, limited to the development of madrasah from the beginning until the future wants to be like what it is just stadz." Obviously Ustadz Burhan who is also an alumnus and asked to serve in the foundation.

"Ane said thanks Ustadz Burhan has reminded ane. Oh yes ustadz, ane pamit first yeah? There is business you asked for too.

"Tafadhol Ustadz." which means please ustadz, indeed in the three languages used in teaching and learning activities in the foundation, namely Arabic, English and Indonesian.

Onci immediately left the madrassa and picked up Dhea, continuing to teach Sunday school at Thea place of worship. The next activity he had to fill a speech in the Tabligh Akbar event.

"Huft, really drain the mind."

As soon as possible he had to get to Dhea's house, in order to manage the time well and according to plan.

"Hii yaank, have you been waiting a long time?" greet the girl while opening the gate.

"Geez, how do you wear that shirt? you brought copy?" Onci also forgot that he was still wearing a koko shirt.

"Yes I forgot to bring a copy of the dress, you'll know for yourself you asked me and you were present at the Sunday school."

"Jaudah I'll find you a papah shirt. It can uproot the church if it knows who you are." Thea searches for her papah shirt, and only Dhea's family knows that Onci is a Muslim.

"Paste copy your clothes first, we're leaving."

After the copy, Onci and Dhea went straight to the church, and Dhea arranged for the ministry first, Onci himself was already on standby in the Sunday school classroom.

"Hi koko Samuel, How are you?" Kenken the boy greeted him in English.

"Hi Ken, am fine, and you?"

"Fine too."

Ken's parents threw smiles and left his son to Onci.

"Titip Ken yah Koko." Say her mommy with a smile that pokes dimples.

"Ok aunt."

Fortunately Onci has narrow eyes and white skin, so they consider that Onci is of Chinese blood. After a long time there were also Ivana, Abraham, Kanaya, Natan, Martin, Ken and Key twins, there were also Martinus who had growth retardation, the Barbei Bianca, Georger, Joshua, Niken and many more.

In a state of mind, Onci tried to smile.

"Not ready for the welcome material! The kids can't stay either." Mumbled Onci.

Dhea was so busy organizing service personnel and choirs to hum the praises, or sholawat if in Islam.

After completing the task, Dhea finally went down and accompanied Onci to give material, ranging from fairy tales, play hand puppets, color and keep them playing. Unknowingly, the voice of the Adzan from his cellphone rang. He forgot to turn off the prayer reminder time.

"What is that noise? Similar sounds Ivana heard in the mosque deket house. Are you moslem koh?" Onci nervously answered Ivana's question.

"Oh, koko Samuel forgot matiin was solid again watching youtube." Dhea immediately slipped in and answered Ivana's question.

"You were supposed to turn off the alarm first."

"Yes I forgot yaank, sorry."

"Ok well all the sisters, our meeting this week until here first. Tomorrow we continue again, do not forget to bring the equipment that I said earlier."

"Ok Ko." At once they answered.

Outside the classroom, their parents were waiting. Onci was asked to go to the church.

"Support thanks for helping us teach and here's a little transport for koko." Said the priest Ignatius.

"What is this sir?" Onci held the envelope thick enough.

"Transport for you." Reply Dhea.

"Take it as a substitute for food and gasoline."

With a heavy heart he also received the money and certainly with a large amount.

"Thank you pastor, I accept your gift."

"Salom." Answer the priest

They immediately left the church, Thea met her family and asked permission not to attend the afternoon service.

"Well, did I get permission today? There's a campus event that Dhea has to attend."

"Judah be careful, Onci aunty tipped Dhea huh? Oh, you didn't have lunch first? I'm tired of just teaching Sunday school."

"Ah thank you aunt, later let us eat out."

"Yaudah, don't go home?"

"Yes aunty."

The clock shows at 12:30 the sound of Onci phones does not stop ringing, ranging from abah, umi and Ustadz Burhan, even Nabila. Twelve missed calls.

"Yank, if there's an SPBU stop?"

"You what?"

"What do you ask! I have to copy it, Muslim clothes, sexy times like this. You wanna throw the whole show?"

"Oh yeah forgot, sorry a lot of thought."

"That's ahead there's an SPBU stop for a moment."

Onci stopped the vehicle and parked for a while, and waited for Dhea to change clothes and make up.

And for the second time Onci was made flabbergasted by Dhea's appearance.

"Subhanallah." His eyes glared at Thea coming out of the toilet.

"If she were a Muslim, there would be no more hesitation in renewing marriage with the girl who now stands before me. O God, do not separate us in our differences. Are you not the owner of the sanctity of love? The Most Loving Duhai." Onci prayed when he saw the person he loved standing in front of him.

" Yaaaank.yaaaank, let's be late." Dhea's voice broke her daydream.

He immediately drove his vehicle and lost among the density of other vehicles. Arriving at the venue of the event, the voice of the qori' read alqura'an holy verse, the letter of Al-Hujurat verses 10-13 :

Innamal-mu`anauthentic fa awliakina baina akhawaikum wattaqullaha la'allakum tour.

Verily, the believers are brothers, so be reconciled between your two brethren (who are at odds) and fear Allah that you may have mercy.

ayyyuhallaza ayyahina lada yaskhar qaumum ming qaumin 'asa ay yakinakinakain khairam min-hum wa la nisa um min nisa in 'asa ayakunna khairam min-hunn, wa talmizu anfusakum wa la tanabazekain bil-alqab, bi sa lismul-fusikqu ba'dal-imahn, wa mal lam yatub fa ula ika humu

*O you who believe! Let not one people make fun of another (for) they may (the mocked) be better than they are (the mocking) and not the women (the mocking) (because) it may be that women (who are made fun of) are better than women (who make fun of). Do not reproach each other and do not call each other with bad titles.

The worst call is the bad (call) (phasic) after faith. And whoever does not repent, then those are the wrongdoers*.

*Y*a ayyyuhallaisina awanujtanibuk kairam

O you who believe! Stay away from prejudice, indeed some prejudices are sins and do not look for the faults of others and do not be among you who gossip some others.

Do any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Of course you feel disgusted.

And fear Allah, verily, Allah is Most Recipient, Most Merciful.

Yayyuhan-nasu inna khalaqnakum min izakariw wa un ⁇ wa ja'alnakum syu'ekihaw wa qab`ila lita'rafikah, inna akramakum 'indallahi atqakum, innallaha 'alimun khabir.

*Oh human! We created you from a man and a woman, and We made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another.

Verily, the noblest among you, by Allah, is the most pious. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware*.

With the sound of it stirred up Dhea's heart.

"What is yank? Is that a video recording?"

"That is read the Qur'an, if in you the gospel. And the person who read it was live, not the recording and called it Qori'."

"What a good sound! You can?"

"Guarantee, hopefully."

Onci and Dhea split thousands of worshipers, the presence of Dhea stunning the atmosphere with its beauty charm. Dhea simply replied to him with a smile and two fingers he closed, as a symbol of greeting.

Nabila stood on the sidelines of Jama'ah. And some of the guests who were present whispered to you.

"That's your future son Kiayi?"

"Insign."
