The Choise

The Choise
Knoweth

Niel's car entered the courtyard of Eve's mansion at about eleven p.m., while the homeowner's girl had fallen asleep next to him after being content to try out a lot of food during her time at Mercado de San Miguel.

The girl fell asleep so Niel could not bear to wake her up. So Niel carefully carried him in. Eve leaned comfortably on Niel's sling without being disturbed.

Niel's flat face seemed to cool down the moment he entered the living room. The familiar figure was there with Amy and Lewis. When their gaze met, Niel simply walked past them towards Eve's room upstairs.

After taking off Eve's shoes, Niel grabbed the girl's blanket and kissed her forehead gently, then walked out and closed the door quietly.

"I thought you forgot to bring her home." It wasn't Amy or Lewis who said it, it was someone who was involved in her hurt.

"I don't really want to take him home." Staring at Felipe is no less sharp. Really, he was not afraid of her at all.

This was the reason Eve did not want to go home. The presence of this man. Eve may not have told him anything, but that doesn't mean Niel doesn't know either. He thought he would just be silent like a fool after seeing Eve's suddenly different condition and emotions?

"I told you I believed in Niel" said Amy, protecting Niel, who could have been the victim of Felipe's rampage. The man was arguably very sensitive to the thing that offended him.

"You gotta stop setting her up, Amy." Staring at the woman, then looking at Niel back, "don't force her to be with you if she doesn't want to!"

Niel smiled cynically. "I'd rather be selfish to be with him. He can't refuse me, sir."

"You—" Felipe's hands clenched furiously.

"But I will respect you as my future father-in-law, so it's best to just get here." Even so Niel said it with his flat and cold face.

Niel's words immediately raised question marks and Amy's surprised face.

"You know what?"

Did Eve tell you a story? Based on Eve's character, it shouldn't be.

"It's easy to guess, Amy. Do you realize that Eve looks a lot like her." Pointing Felipe with his chin.

Lewis sighed softly before helping his wife talk. He also knows the character of Niel. That guy could be more crazed than Felipe.

"Where are you going?" Trying to melt this gripping atmosphere.

"Ask your daughter why she won't come home."

"How far did you hurt her that she almost lost her feelings?"

"You don't know anything" flat Felipe.

"He was traumatized by the opposite sex until his instincts unconsciously continued to reject a feeling" Niel explained. That's truth. Felipe was silent with a cold look at him.

"Eve lives with a bland taste. You happy with that?" It felt like Niel wanted to bring out all of his complaints to this middle-aged man.

"You don't know what I'm doing!" furious Felipe, "she's my daughter. I deserve it!"

"Felipe—"

"Don't talk, Amy! I always ask my daughter to come back, but what are you guys doing, huh?!"

"Enough, Felipe! Now get out of my house" Lewis ordered. Don't let him hit his brother again like he used to.

Lewis leads Felipe's arm out, but Amy stops her second step.

"I can't give my daughter to someone who won't necessarily love her." Staring at Felipe with courage.

"Go home, Felipe. Cristina must have been waiting for you," she said slowly, then sat back down on the sofa. Lewis finally escorted his brother out.

"Sit down, Niel." Amy stroked his arms, "I didn't think you knew. I'm so surprised." Trying smile.

"We didn't mean to hide it—"

"I won't change my mind," cut Niel flat. Amy smiled faintly.
