"If you hadn't chosen her, Eve wouldn't be like this right now!"
Mama?
Eve stopped her footsteps after hearing someone she knew. His hand that was about to touch the door handle also came to a halt. There was a slight gap that was not tightly closed on the door so that the voice sounded out.
"What do you care about him? You forgot what you did?!" todong Felipe, "who would want to get rid of him back then?"
"It's because of you!" show Rosaria.
"I told you I'd be responsible" he said.
Eve listened in silence. Today he witnessed his parents facing each other. He thought the two had become strangers as if they had never existed. What was the mother doing at Lavelle's company?
"With what? Taking her from me and taking care of her with Cristina? I'd rather not give birth to her."
"She's your daughter, Rosaria!"
"Then give me the money. Think of it as compensation for giving birth to your daughter."
Felipe looked at her.
"Compensation? What do you think he is! SHE'S YOUR DAUGHTER TOO!" snapped Felipe angry.
"HE'S A MISTAKE YOU KNOW THAT! YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST LET HIM DIE!" Rosaria screaming.
If Felipe wasn't with Cristina, he wouldn't have had to make Eve that way. Honestly, he was not willing to see the happiness of Felipe and his son with another woman called mother.
"WALCIA!"
Eve was out there clenching her hands until her slightly elongated nails pierced her skin. This time it was pretty painful, huh? He shouldn't be here. He should have gone far long ago, not waited.
It felt so piercing when Rosaria said it herself compared to her father's family. Though he was determined not to care anymore but still reality can not change.
"My husband's almost broke and my son's a kid. I just need the money, after that I'll really go."
"How much do you need?" It was not Felipe's question, but Eve who decided to go in and join his parents' reunion.
"Geev!" Both surprised.
"I have a lot of money. You don't have to ask him. He already has a son and a wife." Eve looked at him expressionlessly.
Rosaria's lips became a hoax. The woman shrieked in front of her own daughter. There was a disappointed look on Eve's face that looked at her flatly. Why does his heart hurt? Eve must have been sicker, right?
"Sorry, Eve—"
"Watch as you please and don't see Felipe or his family especially Cristina." Eve put a credit card in her mother's hand, "let me alone pay for my birth. I hope we don't see each other again."
He should leave immediately. The longer it takes here will only make it weaker. Not knowing how wide the gaping wound was in his heart that it felt so painful.
"EVE!"
Eve immediately shut the door and did so before Felipe could reach her. Coinciding with the falling rain that the old bushes are getting heavier. Eve stopped her original car and looked straight ahead.
Weakly Eve got out of her car, letting the rain drench her entire body. The flowing tears were invisible as they fused with the rain.
"It's okay" he told himself, "it's nothing." He lowered his head, his hands squeezing his chest that was so tight.
A small sobbing sound began to sound with Eve's hand covering her face. He dropped his body, squatted down and sobbed strongly there.
"But why am I crying?"
That thing's getting stronger. Eve hugged herself under the rain with her body shaking and sobbing violently.
Before long he felt someone embrace his body. He looked up to see her and at that very moment someone kissed her very puffy eyes.
"Just "crying. Take everything out and be happy after that" he whispered.
"Nil ..."
"I'm here."
"sickness ...."
"I know."
"My heart is very sick ...."
"We'll heal after this."
"What if it doesn't heal?"
"Then I will feel pain like you."
"Why?"
"Because we share pain" replied Niel.
"I don't want to share."
"Then I'll take it myself."
