The Clutches of Lonely Vampires

The Clutches of Lonely Vampires
Like a knife

Elena's return makes Mark lose his healthy thinking, he's grateful his daughter is back. So grateful that he did not take off his sleeping hand after stopping his chaotic cries. But on the other hand, he also suspected his daughter was where during the disappearance. Why on the nape of Elena there is a tattoo similar to the symbol of Satanise but more friendly look in the eyes and crowned.

Mark rubbed it, his hands jerked, the hot sensation made him shake his hands.

"Oh my God, who did this to you Elena?"

Mark Adair reached out to his phone on the nightstand. Jonathan who was in an underground cafe and sipped brandy grabbed his phone with a dizzy head.

"Father!" Jonathan frowning. "O Father, what's wrong?" He heard Mark's explanation that felt awkward. The usual supernatural phenomenon he did was like summoning a spirit from the supernatural realm. But Elena's return from the middle of nowhere is intact and has a sign that makes her anxious.

Jonathan stood up after stomping the brandy bottle onto the table. His expression had already run to the ancient books displayed in his room. Books that emit the aroma of volatile organic compounds that become opium for him.

"Are you sure it's Elena, father?" Jonathan gulped back his brenda while listening.

Mark hesitated. "I've made sure the mole is the same as my daughter, Jo! All the same."

A mole?

Jonathan rubbed his left cheek, a little bit of his heart was amused by Mark's explanation. His entire soul floated on a secret that Elena knew.

"Send me the picture!" jonathan said with urgency.

Mark hastened to end his call, he photographed the sign on Elena's nape. Jonathan blinked, he looked at the photo Mark sent. His eyes closed as if recalling loudly something. He gasped when Marissa touched his shoulder.

"Are you okay, baby?"

"I'm going to visit mom, Riss. Two or three days I'm just back."

"You missing him?" ask Marissa, her boyfriend. Jonathan snatched his car keys nervously near the cashier's desk. He looked over, peeking at Marissa's cheek.

"I miss him and need his help!"

Marissa nodded, she escorted the increasingly busy Jonathan after searching for Elena as a paranormal activity with The Devil's Hunter outside the building which was painted all black.

Jonathan rubbed Marissa's back. "I love you."

Marissa let Jonathan get in the car and left him with a smile. He turned around, Luther came out of his hiding place. He walked towards Marissa. The girl who had beautiful eyes and an awesome body that caught the attention of the men to look at her. His legs are wrapped in black jeans and his body is wrapped in an open shirt.

Luther crossed Marissa, the girl turned her head after feeling like she had been electrocuted from Luther's arm touching hers.

"What are you doing, sir?" shouted Marissa.

Luther didn't budge, turning into a small alley that separated Jonathan's two buildings and Miss Clancy's florist shop. The hallway was dark and quiet. Luther changed his appearance from an errant old man to himself before returning to Van Broden's castle.

The spring sun had crept up, a beam of light coming in Mark's room gave a soothing warmth to the hearts of two smiling room dwellers.

"I'm healthy, pa. Believe it." Elena squeezed the back of Mark's hand. "I was yesterday—" Elena sipped her father's chocolate milk. He looked at Mark who was waiting for answers to the questions that flooded him after waking up.

Do I have to tell papa about Van Broden's castle? Luther and all?

Nah!

The word echoed in his head. Elena put down her glass and closed her eyes.

Don't you ever tell anyone anything that's happened while you're gone!

Elena touched her head and lowered her head. The emotional meltdown left him confused and dizzy. The reaction made Mark agitated and touched his shoulder.

"Elena, no. Papa's happy enough to have you back. No need to answer."

Luther.

You tricked me with a spell? Goddamnit!

Elena opened her eyes, she suddenly growled to the point of hitting the table hard. Mark was shocked. Luther grinned as he closed his book in the library.

"It looks like you need medicine, Elena. Papa get it a minute." Mark stood up, he went to the medical room before meeting Bishop Leif who came out of his room.

"Is she really your daughter, Mark?" Bishop Leif looked at her deeply, there was a sense of disbelief but he saw and heard the voices of Elena and Mark last night.

Mark put his index finger on his lips. Heart's pounding. "For God's sake, she's my daughter, Leif! Elena Irys."

Bishop Leif sighed. "I know, Mark! But can you make sure she's really Elena after she disappears? Do the re-baptists!"

The bishop sauntered away without realizing the restless look of his interlocutor.

"Elena..." Mark smiled. "You'll stay a while with papa. You want?" Mark poured water while adding a sedative to his daughter.

"I'm not calm you're at your mother's house. Julianne's really down and she must think you're a curious spirit!"

Elena grimaced in annoyance.

Curious spirits? God, how could I go to college again like this.

Elena couldn't admit the events she experienced to Mark. But his life must continue including his relationship with Reyand. He would be even more insane if he became an undead and did nothing. He thought of something, something complicated that made Luther grimace.

"I will indeed stay here with papa if bishop Leif allows it" Elena said expectantly.

Here I'm safer from that brazen vampire nuisance.

Luther laughed in his library.

Your mind is connected to me, Elena. You should know that before you speak.

Elena kicked the leg of the table, the water spilled. That made Mark squint. The change happened to her daughter, an ugly change even though she was speechless. Mark was afraid to provoke his daughter's anger.

"You better take your medicine Elena right away and then will you allow papa to be rebaptized for the sake of life to your two?" mark asked doubtfully.

Rebaptism?

No factor influenced the offer except for Luther's voice echoing in his head.

Don't do it Elena, if you believe me!

An argument that is not clear, Elena does not care, who is Luther? He's nodding.

"Bole papa. Just do it and explain if I'm still alive."

Mark grimaced, his face showing concern. While Elena raised next to her eyebrows.

"Not the best decision?"

"Not the best decision right now, you know what reason. You haven't told me how you're still alive and coming back here, not to your mother's house."

Elena tidied up Mark's shirt sleeves, giving him a wry look. The choice was hard for him to make on his own.

You're getting me in big trouble, Luth. I'm sure papa would go crazy if I told him about the vampire who helped me yesterday!

Luther stood in front of the balcony of his room.

I'll see you tonight.
