Marvel tightened his jaw when he heard the younger brother's expression. "You need to stay away from her."

"Why? Is it because of your problem with her?" Ask Eveline

Marvel did not answer.

"Let me meet him, brother. Don't involve me in your personal matters. He saved my life. It makes me meet him even if only once. I beg you." Ogre Eveline.

Marvel woke up from her position. "You need to rest."

"Please."

Marvel didn't take it and just passed it by. And that left Eveline disappointed. "I'm sorry, Luc. I hope you're okay."

Eveline rubbed her stomach gently. "I regret being a weak man."

Not long after the door opened, Melvin and Claire were spotted. Eveline breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Claire there.

The beautiful girl ran over to Eveline. "Eve. Thank goodness you're okay."

Eveline grabbed Claire's hand. "I'm also glad my brother brought you here."

Claire glanced at Melvin who was already standing opposite her. "I forced it along." His whisper.

Eveline smiled faintly. "Did he hurt you?"

"No, he doesn't even talk much." Again Claire glanced at Melvin who was also staring at him.

"I didn't think you had a crazy friend." Chirps Melvin. Sontak Claire sniffed.

"Hey! You're saying I'm crazy? I'm sane to know." His protest.

Melvin grunts his head.

Eveline looked at him fixedly. "Sister, I want to see Lucas. How's condition? Is she okay?"

"I don't know, haven't seen it."

"Please, let me see him."

"You have to be healthy first, your code is still weak, Eve."

Eveline put on a sad face. "I just want to see it, brother. Just sec. Why do you want to separate it from me?"

Melvin looked at Eveline fixedly. "It wasn't me, but Lucas asked for it."

"What?" Shocked Eveline.

Melvin breathed heavily. "Rest, Daddy and Mommy will come here." After saying that, Melvin left.

"Please, let me talk for a second."

Melvin's steps are restrained. "I don't think you'll be able to talk to him in the long run."

"What do you mean?"

Melvin turned. "Lucas was very ill while helping you, and now he's also injured. Most likely...."

"Enough! You're kidding me, aren't you?" Refute Eveline. "I want to meet him."

"You're so stubborn, Eve. Lucas is in a coma right now."

The deg!

Eveline's heart seemed to stop beating upon hearing that.

Lucas comma? How come?

"I told you, he's sick."

"ill? What pain, tell me."

"Lucas had cirrhosis, he hasn't stopped drinking since you left him at Villa. Without drinking and eating."

Eveline's body went limp for a moment.

"Actually yesterday's abduction schedule, but he ran away from the hospital when he found out you were in danger." Obviously Melvin again.

Eveline's getting dizzy. "Oh my God, Lucas. Is he crazy?"

"Yes, he's crazy about you, Eve."

Eveline's breathing choked. His eyes began to fog. "I'm sorry."

Claire hugged Eveline affectionately. "He's fine, trust me."

"It's my fault, Claire. I always refused. I know he was always trying to protect me. I'm sorry, Luc. I thought he wouldn't love me this bad."

Melvin breathed heavily. "I'm leaving, please take care of my sister."

Claire nodded. Then Melvin really went from there.

Arez touched the giant glass wall firmly, staring at Lucas who was still lying weakly on top of the gurney. And for the umpteenth time he sighed heavily.

"Bas stupid," he said.

"Why did you let him go?" Ask Arez.

"We're not in the hospital" Winter said. "You knew Alexa couldn't get too tired, so we left her with Dustin."

"Huh, he's so stubborn."

"Then what about our conversation last week, Rez? Are you not going to consider my son. You said you wanted to see my son's seriousness, right? Now you've seen it for yourself. I'm paying you a promise."

Last week....

Arez is shocked to see Winter visit his company. The man got up from his position and greeted Winter. "How are you?"

"As you can see, I'm fine." Winter smiled kindly.

"Sit down." Decree Arez. Then the two sat facing each other. "Tumben you came here, what's wrong?"

"Huh, you're still to the point, Rez. Looks like I don't want to talk to you anymore. It's my son's problem, Lucas."

Arez shriveled in confusion. "What's wrong? Did he do it again?"

"Yes, but this time it's your daughter." Answer Winter. Arez was silent for a while, of course he knew where the conversation was going.

"Then?"

Winter breathed heavily. "Let them together, Rez. I know this is wrong, but what's wrong if they come together. Lucas loves Eveline so much, I think you know that."

Arez was silent.

"Lucas's been going crazy ever since your kids brought Eveline back. I don't know what the real problem is, but he's really crazy. He continued drinking and ignoring our words. Even Alexa got sick thinking about her son."

"Lucas loves my daughter, but I'm not sure Eveline likes her. You know Eveline already has a boyfriend."

"And her lover is not a good man, you know that too."

Arez snorted small. "You think your son is good too? He desecrated my daughter."

Winter was silent for a moment. "At least my son is sincere to your daughter."

Arez took a long breath. "I want to see the truth. Whether or not he loves my daughter, we'll see. Someone's gonna kidnap my daughter in the near future. I'm not gonna stop him. If he really loved Eveline, he would know and would save her. If he fails, I'll never let him near my son again."

"But the condition is not as good as it used to be."

"That's his mistake. I've never interfered in my children's private affairs, but because of your son's madness I have to intervene." Upset Arez.

Winter massaged his painful head. "Everything makes me dizzy. Why should it be your daughter?"

"Ask your son."

"Alright, you must keep your promise."

"You can hold my words."

Arez closed his eyes for a moment, then looked at Lucas carefully. "I never thought he could be this ill. But that kid is still stubborn, he thought that by dying he could have my daughter? Stupid jerk. I sent Melvin and Marvel to save him."

"He loves Eveline so much, that's all I know." Alexa.

"I knew. I'll keep my promise."

"Promise?"

Arez turned around when he heard his wife's voice. Sure enough, Sabrina was already standing not far from him.

Sabrina walked over. "What promise, Al?"

Winter and Alexa do not dare to speak because Sabrina does not know the relationship between Lucas and Eveline.

Arez looked at his wife. "We'll talk about this at the hotel. Have you seen your daughter?"

"Yes, he's fine." Legally. Then Lucas looked at him full of pity. "How did this happen? Isn't he sick? Why did he come to Eveline's rescue?"

"Because my son loves your son, Sab." Alexa who managed to make Sabrina and Arez shocked. It's not in agreement.

"What do you mean?" Sabrina looked at Alexa confused.

"Lucas loves Eveline, Sab. That's why he did all this." Alexa can't cover everything anymore. "Lucas just wants to live with her."

Sabrina shook her head. "How is it possible? They're brothers, Lexa."

Alexa hugged Winter. "Let them unite, Winter. I can't watch him suffer anymore. I don't care if they're brothers even once. Lucas has shown his love for Eveline. He was willing to die just to save her. Does no one appreciate the effort?"

Sabrina smiled blandly. "This is impossible. You kidding?"

Arez took his wife. "We talked about this at the hotel, baby. Come on."

Sabrina looked at Arez. "I...."

"I'll explain everything. We're back at the hotel." Arez immediately took Sabrina away from there.

"How did this happen, Al?"

"I told you I'd explain later."

Sabrina relented and let Arez take her to the hotel. He was still confused and in shock. I can't wait to hear her husband's explanation.
