Chapter 24 - Starting the Investigation

"Hey, Kei....." Fino who was now walking with Kei to the cafeteria asked quietly.

"What's wrong? Why does your face look sad, Fino? It's not usually for you." asked Kei in astonishment. He didn't slow down his pace, likening it to Fino's.

"What's wrong? Not so!! What the hell are you? You've changed enough, no. So much, you know?!! What happened to basketball skills? What's with your alertness when blocking the ball that leads to the women? Do you want to betray me?" fino shouted, stopping, intercepting Kei in front of him.

"Braying... What do you mean??" kei asked frowning.

"I told you...." Fino and Kei started to continue their path again.

"You can score a lot of points in a basketball game. And during the break, you saved Shiina Manashita from the ball! Are you this? Do you want to be a protagonist?!!" fino asked half-screaming.

"No no no no! If anyone's in danger, I'll save him, won't I?" kei said evasive.

The two of them finally reached the cafeteria, and ordered some food, before they finally sat down at a table close to the window. They ordered a pack of rice as usual and drank it.

"Well, that's not wrong. But, it changed too much. And the other one's weird, how can you react to a ball coming in so fast? It looks like you're waiting for that ball!" ask Fino again.

"Ahh, you're exaggerating too much. I just happen to be able to do that." Kei said.

He was as little as pondering over Fino's words.

("That's true. I changed a lot. My physical ability now far exceeds that of any other friend. This is not a small change!") kei thought in his heart.

He finally realized, that he had really changed quite a lot now.

("To not be as usual and apply very differently now would definitely be very striking in front, and would certainly make others suspicious. I should have restrained myself.") Kei continued in his mind.

"Well, whatever it is, if you betray me, I'll kill you! Fucking normies!!" fino said with serious eyes.

"You look very serious, you know! I was dating Myan, right?"

"That's different! I knew you'd break up with him soon!" fino shouted immediately cutting. Kei only took a breath, slightly shaking his head.

Kei immediately scooped up the rice quickly that was on the dinner plate, and quickly finished the drink, and immediately returned the dirty dishes and drinking glasses to the canteen.

"Hey hey hey! Why are you so in a hurry?" tanya Fino prevented Kei from leaving.

"I have business. I want to finish it today if I can." Kei said as he stood up, moving away.

"Hehhh... Must be a girl problem, right?" asked Fino sarcastically.

Kei wanted to answer that it could not be said to be wrong, but perhaps it would only make it harder for him to leave, so he was simply evasive.

"No! I'll meet the teacher, you know!" reply Kei to leave immediately.

Today, Kei's first day of school after getting the System yesterday. He was not used to adjusting his strength to the one he used to be. He easily went towards the teacher's room, although the current state of the canteen was quite crowded.

He wanted to investigate Shiori a little during this time. Shiori was a pretty famous woman in school. There were very many eyes watching Shiori every time she was at school, or perhaps on the way home.

The sound of a sliding door rang out and Kei who entered after knocking on the door.

After saying his greetings, he walked in, and walked over to a neat-looking middle-aged woman who was sitting facing the laptop.

"Excuse me, Tio. Sorry to interrupt" Kei said with a bow.

"Ah yes. Is correct. Excuse me. Uh, no. Sorry I was a little surprised. Kei, huh? What was? Oh yea. I heard you had an accident. Are you okay? Ahh, definitely not good, is it? I heard that the uniform you were wearing was broken. So how? Are you okay? Hey, if anyone's sick please tell me. I'll take care of you! Here here." said a woman as she immediately stood up trying to hug Kei.

Kei slightly tried to dodge the embrace, but since there were some protruding objects pointed at his face, he just remained silent, instead looking to enjoy.

"Ahh, I'm sorry I got a little carried away" Tio said as she let go of her embrace to Kei.

Immediately, the somewhat silent atmosphere of the teacher room returned boisterous, returning to their normal lives. Only Kei remained slightly disappointed, but he immediately remembered his purpose here.

"That's... I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me, Miss Tio. I just hurt a little. And as for why I'm here, there's something I want to ask" said Kei quickly, who had regained his consciousness.

Yamanaka Tio. He is the teacher of History as well as the homeroom teacher of Kei and Shiori now.

He is a reckless figure and a little excessive facing something, and sometimes also often make a lot of mistakes. But he was also a very considerate person, especially to his student. And obviously, there was a slight change, he would instantly know about it.

And most importantly, Tio's memory is really good. Tio was able to remember even a small amount when it was interfering with his mind.

That was why Kei went to Tio's guardian, because surely he would be aware of any changes to Shiori.

"Hahhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Alright. I'll just ask." Kei said after sighing.

"Do you know what's going on with Shiori right now?"
