The Death Game System

The Death Game System
Chapter 31 - After the fight

"Shiori!" kei shouted a little run towards the fallen Shiori. Immediately, he caught the body of Shiori who had started to lose her consciousness.

Kei also had time to look around, to see what was happening. In fact, the magic aura present in Shiori's body slowly disappeared. It was probably a sign of magic channeling that had started to disconnect, and the moment before, that set of magic flew away from Shiori's body.

There are a few things Kei is thinking about now. Among them was why this figure had arrived using Shiori's body as a threat. Though he knew, that Kei was strong enough to defeat Shiori from the start, but he used Shiori's body in a hurry at the end.

And Kei had at least come to some conclusion from the fight earlier.

"First, she seemed forced to sever Shiori's relationship with him. That means he's limited to something, and most likely it's mana." whispered Kei, as he began to stand with the fainted Shiori in both hands.

"To be able to control someone coupled with strengthening them with magic, it was incredible. Ignoring the fact that he could only do that for about half an hour, it was enough to prove that he was a player who had been playing for quite some time" Kei said again.

And most importantly, Kei already knew where the flow of magic was going when it returned to its owner.

Hamanami High School, a school not too far from Kei school. Not far, not close. That means the player is there right now.

There is an option to attack that Player now when he runs out of mana and eases his fight. But, that was if he already knew for sure who the Player was. And now, he sensed that the Player was running fast, which meant he was in the vehicle.

How did Kei know?

That was because the moment Kei tried to close the channel that connected Shiori with that Player, Kei deliberately channeled his magic as well.

With that, Kei can now track this Player at any time.

"Only, this has a time limit because my mana number is not that big. I should be able to finish it before I run out of mana." said Kei again, staring at the sky that was slowly getting dark as the black clouds that were slowly moving over the sun.

And that's when Kei looked straight, beside the entrance of the school roof. There, there was a pair of eyes that looked at Kei with a look of disbelief.

"That-" said Kei stalled, as the figure that was staring at him, in other words the girl he had just fainted was now standing, with her mouth gawking and looking at Kei with a condescending look.

"A-ahh, I think this is really serious...." Kei grinned softly, while making a face full of trouble.

The girl who looked at him shook her head slightly, then lowered her head, seemingly thinking of something. He then remembered something, and touched his nape, only to be horrified. It seemed like he remembered Kei who knocked him unconscious earlier.

Still in silence the girl looked towards Shiori who Kei was carrying. Instantly, the girl's tears changed, her face paled, and the disgust in her eyes increased.

"Pe"

"Pe?" Kei was a little confused hearing the first word the girl said after a long time.

"Pe-pe-pe SEXUAL HARASSMENT!!!!" the girl shouted, closing her eyes.

"A-ahh, this is really troublesome...."

***

"So, you're just trying to save Shiori's sister, and have to do all that?" ask the girl after a little calm.

"Hummmmd. Such is. So please don't think anything weird about me. Well, whatever if you don't believe it, but at least don't tell anyone who it is, okay!" said Kei looking worried.

"Where did you start listening to our conversation?" continued.

"To be honest, I've heard almost everything... Maybe ever since you said that you were from a supernatural extracurricular or something, I've woken up and heard it all. But, you guys seem tense there, and I don't dare to go near.." explained the girl.

"You may be asking a little bit why I was able to get up so quickly, but honestly I'm already a bit used to the punch." continued the girl with a sad smile.

His smile looked fake, even an ordinary person could definitely see something was wrong with the girl.

Kei is really not able to think now, because there are eyewitnesses who know it all. Now, whether the System will move removes this girl, leaving Kei speechless.

The thought of it made Kei's head even more painful, so he could only shake his head.

"Ah, yes it is. I've forgotten this. What's yourname?" kei asked suddenly because he wanted to take his mind off the System.

"You... Didn't ask that from the beginning... Wellh, that's natural, but fine." the girl complained softly.

"I'm Minori Sakahara. Please call me Minori. After all, I am Kanata's senior-class sister." she continued calling out Kei's surname while continuing to smile. But, seeing him smile was now even more painful for Kei, because his tired-looking face.

"You... Is it okay for someone you just met to just call your name? You just called my family name." Kei moved, sat down next to the girl named Minori, and leaned against the wall that was behind her.

Minori looked gloomy, seemingly remembering something unpleasant while muttering the name "Sakahara".

"What's wrong? Do you want to say something? Don't sniff out something like that. If you have anything to say, just say it. If you keep holding back like that, no wonder you're moving to kill yourself." whispered Kei with a deep breath.

"That-that's..." Minori simply fell silent, unable to answer him.

"I have to wait for Shiori to wake up for a while. But, I'm sure it'll take a while. And in the meantime, I'm completely empty. Ahh, if only there was someone here who wanted to tell a story." said Kej pretending to be stupid.

"Before that, you have to tell me what's going on right now" Minori replied quickly.

Kei came to a halt for a moment, not expecting Minori to attack him like that.

("Humm... Can I make this girl know nothing about the system? If I say it's not a system or anything, isn't there a thin line separating it") Kei thought.

He was still thinking hard, until he finally nodded confidently. Kei thought it would be better to make this girl misunderstand, rather than really hide it.

"alright. I'll tell you a little." Kei looked at the sky, trying to look serious.

"As you heard earlier, I am one and only member of extracurricular supernatural research. Maybe you've heard of it."

"No. I never heard of it. Isn't that just your imagination? Brother Kei, please don't play here." cut Minori fast.

"Kuh...." Kei snorted softly while turning his gaze away, but he continued with his serious eyes.

"It's only natural that you don't know. The club has been abandoned by its members for many years, and none of the students have signed up. So obviously, we are considered a dead club. But there's still some holding on, and it's just me up until now." Kei stared straight at it looking like he was remembering the past.

"A-ahh, so that's it.... I-i understand. Kei is also one of them, isn't he? People were sick who thought power was coming out of their sealed hands, or their eyes would let out a huge explosion.... Huff... I've passed that time, Brother Kei." replied Minori quickly.

Kei's eyebrows twitched in annoyance. Kei now understood, why this girl, Minori was not punished or anything from the System.
