Jake smiled, bowed, then looked into the vast ocean. "I'm going to quit smoking. Now feed more," said Jake, to Lilia's surprise.

I don't know why Lilia's mind is so a no-no when Jake says something like that. Jake also seemed to notice the attitude of Lilia who swallowed her saliva after she spoke. Jake laughs. He chuckled and pulled Lilia over to lay her head on his shoulder.
