Time continued to pass, Jie Yan currently continued to meditate in the room reserved for him waiting for the second stage of the competition.
The other students who qualified for the second half also took immediate breaks to recover their strength as well as the injuries they had during the first stage of the competition.
All of them planted hatred towards the two newbies who messed up the test. The two were certainly none other than Jie Yan and Yun Che.
However, their hatred towards Jie Yan was much higher than that of Yun Che. It also has to do with what happens in the lake.
Jie Yan charged towards the lake which made all the water spirit beasts come out. Even that many powerful spirit beasts at the bottom of the lake were rising to the surface as his attention was drawn by the attacks from the combined Jie Yan and Xia Yue'er.
All the spirit beasts in the lake had finally attacked all the disciples who had entered the lake.
The Elders moved silently to keep the disciples safe when in danger. This made the Elders even more furious that Jie Yan was giving them additional work.
After three days, in the morning Jie Yan woke up from his meditation as it was time for the second stage competition.
“It's time.” Jie Yan muttered as he slowly stood up then walked out of the room.
The other students also completed the meditation early because they did not want to be late at the second stage competition.
Many pairs of eyes stared at Jie Yan with hostile gazes due to the previous incident. For the final and peak stage Immortal Soul level disciples, many of them decided to teach Jie Yan a lesson while inside the competition. Even some of those who looked extremely severe and qualified for the next round were intent on finishing Jie Yan off.
Sensing all those hostile gazes, Jie Yan did not care at all. He continued walking towards the gathering place of all the disciples, which was right on the outskirts of the extremely terrifying wilderness.
The reason being, aside from the tyrannical aura coming from the forest, the roar of spirit beasts sounded from time to time. Even sometimes there was the aura of a spirit beast with a cultivation level beyond that of an Immortal Soul flaunting its aura.
“It turns out there are still many students left.” Jie Yan's inner current tracked down that there were about four hundred more disciples to be in that place who would enter the competition.

This time the First Elder was standing on the podium with the other four Elders behind him.

“If we meet, be careful.” Yun Che said indifferently then went inside the formation leaving Jie Yan who became the last.
Jie Yan did not care. He only glanced towards the Fifth Elder then smiled viciously as of course he would try to kill the three Fifth Elder disciples. Although he did not know which was the disciple of the Fifth Elder, but he remembered very well about the three peak Immortal Soul level disciples who issued killing intent on him when he was in the Sword Sect before starting the first stage competition.
In the Sword Sect, only the Fifth Elder had the first complaint with him so he instantly guessed that the three disciples were disciples of the Fifth Elder.
