Chapter 4: A Journey Through the Maze

Lian and Eris walked through the labyrinth carefully. They walked slowly, avoiding traps and dangers that might be hidden around corners.

This labyrinth was different from the one Lian had seen before. The walls were made of black stone and gave off a mysterious dark aura. Some of the walls looked like they were lit, but when Lian approached her, she did not feel any heat at all.

"How do we know the right direction?" lian asked while looking around.

"We can't. But we have to keep trying" Eris replied as she went further.

Lian followed Eris carefully. He continued to examine the surroundings, looking for signs that might help them find their way out of this labyrinth. But nothing was found.

After a while of walking, they arrived at a very large room. In the middle of the room was a large pond that gave off a mysterious blue light. The pool itself was very deep and Lian could not see the bottom of it.

"Wait a minute" Eris said as she approached the pool.

He then pulled out a crystal from inside his bag and swung it into the pool quietly. The crystal sank and emitted a bright blue light that filled the entire room.

"How does that help us?" ask Lian.

"This crystal will show the right path. But we have to be careful. These crystals can burn if we don't hold them properly" Eris explained.

Lian nodded and prepared to continue their journey. They followed the path indicated by the crystal and passed through several other rooms. Some of the rooms looked empty and some were full of traps and dangers.

After a long walk, they arrived at a room larger than the one before. In the middle of the room was a man sitting quietly. The man was wearing a black robe and was holding a staff in his hand.

"Those who want to pass through this room must defeat me first," the man said in a low voice.

Lian and Eris took up their weapons and were ready to fight. The man raised his hand and summoned several small creatures that came out from the ground. Lian and Eris prepare themselves and prepare to fight the creatures.

The fight was fierce and lasted a long time. Lian and Eris must fight desperately against the creatures. However, in the end, they managed to defeat all of the creatures and break free from the attack.

The two of them took a deep breath, trying to restore their breathless breathing after a fierce fight. Lian looked around, trying to figure out if there were still any creatures left around her.

"Nothing else" said Eris, watching Lian who was looking around. "We beat them all."

Lian nodded, and then she looked around again. He realized that the two of them had already surpassed one area of the labyrinth and entered a larger space. In the middle of the room, there was a huge portal that gave off a blue light.

"Is that... the exit?" asked Lian doubtfully.

Eris nodded, "Yes, it's the exit of this labyrinth."

Lian was relieved to hear it, but there was doubt in her mind. "Are you sure? What if it's just a trap?"

Eris smiled and then took out a small crystal from her pouch. "This will prove that it's the exit."

He placed the small crystal near the portal and then took out his magic wand. He said a few magic words and then looked towards the crystal. The crystal then emitted an extremely bright light and disappeared.

"Now, we can go," said Eris, directing Lian towards the exit.

Lian followed Eris towards the exit, but she remained vigilant. He felt that something was wrong with Eris, and he felt that he could not fully trust her yet. However, for now, he had to think of a way to get out of this labyrinth and return to the surface.

The two of them looked towards the sky, and were surprised to see that the sky in that place was red and the night sky was beautiful.

"Where are we, Eris?" asked Lian in a surprised tone.

Eris smiled, "We are in the underground world, a place very far from the surface."

Lian felt stunned to hear it, yet she felt confident that they would find a way to return to the surface. The two of them went towards a brighter place and looked for clues on how to get out of that underground world. However, they do not know that their adventure is not over and there are still many obstacles that they have to face.

However, in the end, they managed to defeat all of the creatures and enter a larger room. In the room, there were many mysterious objects located on tables and shelves. There were large books with strange letters printed on them, jugs of unknown materials, and also crystals emitting colorful light.

Eris quickly rushed towards one of the shelves and started checking out some of the books that were there. Meanwhile, Lian looked around and was fascinated by the beauty of those crystals. However, suddenly, a rumbling sound rang out again and this time it was louder than before. The sound shook the entire room and made Lian and Eris push back.

"They're coming again!" lian shouted, directing her gaze to the door at the end of the room.

Eris instantly understood and grabbed her magic wand taken from the pile of items. They are both ready to face whatever is coming. Soon, the door opened by itself and the creatures appeared again.

This time, they were more and more powerful than before. Lian and Eris look at each other, knowing that this is the real fight. They could not give up and had to fight until the end.

Lian leaped forward and quickly launched an attack towards the creatures. Eris followed behind him, manipulating his magic power to produce deadly attacks. The fight was fierce and they had to fight with all their might in order to defeat the creatures.

After a long and grueling fight, Lian and Eris manage to defeat the creatures and protect themselves. They were panting and heavily injured, but they felt relieved at successfully passing this strenuous test.

However, as they look around the room, they realize that this is just the beginning of a bigger and more dangerous adventure. They must be prepared to face even greater challenges and uncover the secrets hidden in that underground world.

Lian felt annoyed by Eris's attitude which looked as if she was underestimating herself. However, he realizes that the two of them must work together if they want to survive this mysterious underground world.

"Eris, I know I'm not as experienced as you are in this, but I also want to help," Lian said firmly.

Eris looked at Lian with a sharp look. "Alright, then let's work together. We need to find a way out of this place as soon as possible" he said.

Lian was delighted to hear that sentence. He felt that Eris was beginning to believe him. The two of them walked towards the next passageway, looking for signs of life.

After a while of walking, they found a locked iron door. Eris fumbled around the door and looked for a button or lock that could open it. After a while, he found a small button and used it to open the door.

Lian and Eris walked into the room and saw a vast library. The bookshelves and long tables were filled with piles of large and old books.

"Look at this," Lian said as she held a book with a strange title. "What's this?"

Eris took the book out of her hand and browsed through the pages inside. "This is an ancient spell book. Apparently, this book contains spells that can be used to control extremely powerful magic power."

Lian impressed. "Wow, that's cool. Can we learn it?"

Eris nodded. "Of course, we can learn these spells and use his magic power to survive in this place. But we have to be careful. This magic power can be very dangerous if used the wrong way."

Lian and Eris began to learn the spells and mastered them quickly. They feel stronger and able to face greater challenges. However, in this mysterious place, nothing could be guaranteed. What will happen to them next?
