"Alright, this attack will determine the final outcome of our duel!" Andrean raised his sword while pushing his body at full strength, darting through the air with a hand ready to throw a sword at his opponent's body.
"Is that your ultimate attack?" Rito snorted, his hand stroking slowly the long white beard that grew to the chest.
Rito took out a mana shield, resisting the attack from Andrean easily. The clash from the attack was able to make the air around them rumble. Andrean's body still maintained its attacking position, trying to further suppress his energy to destroy the mana shield with all his might.
"Basic old fucking man!" Andrean was slightly pushed back when Rito exuded a sizable mana. He was getting harder and harder to defend his attacks so his body bounced around, rolling against the ground repeatedly.
Andrean grimaced in pain. His body had already reached the limit faster due to taking the pill. Andrean felt his organs burning, especially his heart that was beating at an accelerating tempo.
Rito pulled one corner of his lips, directing a slanted smile at Andrean who already looked unable to continue the duel.
"I think it's time to use that technique." Rito muttered softly.
Because of his obsession with being strong, on the sidelines of his training with Damond, Rito created a new sword technique called sword link.
Sword link is a combination technique between ghost steps that specialize in users stepping quickly toward the opponent's blind spot, and sword point techniques that can easily find the weakest point of the opponent's body continuously. The result of the combination of the two techniques could lead to instant kill.
"Sword link." Rito darted quickly over Andrean.
"Basstupid, with you in the air like that you won't be able to move freely!" Andrean smiled, launching an attack on Rito.
"Huh, you think that technique that I'm hard to make will be easily broken?!"
Just before the tip of Andrean's sword hit Rito's body, in an instant Rito was already behind Andrean.
"What?! No way! How did that happen?!"
Andrean who was enveloped by panic spontaneously attacked Rito, but again and again his attacks failed to hit the old man's torso.
"Damn! I'm sure your technique must have a limit to use."
"Limit of use, huh? I don't have to answer that, we just prove who can last longer." Rito re-installed the horses, preparing to launch an attack.
"Sword link."
Again Rito used the same technique. Not long after he mentioned the name of his technique, a point of sword path appeared in Rito's vision.
"Huh, you think the same move will work for me again?" Andrean spoke arrogantly to her without knowing what would happen to her.
Sword link is a technique that can make the user see the point of the sword path to make the most effective movement to kill his opponent even though his opponent is moving quickly.
However, this technique has a very fatal deficiency. If this technique was used too often, then it would burden the eyes of its user as it put too much eye-centered mana to see the directional points of the sword, it also injures the heart by forcing the heart to pump blood quickly which makes the body feel stronger.
Rito shot silently past Andrean. The man could not keep up with Rito's movements. Then in a split second then an arm fell down near Andrean's body.
The man's eyes glared at the shape of the arms lying exactly the same as his. He was shocked by the face of disbelief. He felt a tremendous pain from one of his arms.
"Huh!? AARGHH!! MY ARM!" Andrean shouted hysterically looking at his arms lying down just like that.
"Damn! I am not used to this technique. My eyes hurt so much. Plus the attack I launched also missed." Rito held onto his eyes that were flowing fresh blood. Rito knew that the technique would weigh heavily on his organs as it was unable to withstand such a huge mana.
"Well this time I'll be more serious." Rito jumped back and immediately put up his horses. Andrean spontaneously put up defensive horses to withstand Rito's attack.
"Sword!" Rito once again darted past Andrean's body and the two people along with the people who saw it fell silent for a moment.
Dukkkk!
A head fell to the ground, rolling not far from the body of the owner of the head. Then suddenly the people who saw him ran to the body with a separate head in the arena while crying hysterically to see the head of a leader and friend who had survived together from the world this heinous.
A few seconds later they turned their eyes to Rito. A hatred was implied in their gazes, but on the other hand Rito could also see the fear emblazoned in those people's focus.
Rito who saw that was a little touched. Seeing the figure of a leader who has the desire to avenge so great that he was willing to sacrifice his life is a rarely seen event.
"Although he is, he is a fool. He should have given up without sacrificing his life. How can a man like himself be a leader? From the very beginning they committed a crime should have been prepared to end in death." Rito grunted softly. But not long after, Rito jerked slowly. He was no stranger to such feelings.
"Ah, very upsetting." Rito ruffled his hair.
A moment ago he thought that maybe this situation could be used as a parable. The way he looked at the White Tiger members in front of him would probably be the same as the imperial way of looking at Night Shadow and the Ghetto.
For the Empire, what they did was right. Like targeting and killing members of Night Shadow for reasons of security and tranquility.
Instead, they do not know the events behind the scenes and just allow themselves to justify their actions. On the other hand, the White Tiger might have its own reasons for doing something.
"No, no! Whatever the reason, stealing a girl to play and auction is not a justifiable thing." Rito was silent for a moment.
"What a difference it is to us. Perhaps the empire was thinking the same thing. Whatever the reason, killing nobles is not justifiable." Rito mutters. His jaw hardened when he thought of many things that were very confusing.
"Sir, you were talking about abducting girls to play and auctioned, right?" One of the remaining White Tiger members opened his voice, making Rito's focus switch to him.
"About kidnapping girls is true, but we never played with them!"
"Then about the auction?"
"Auctions are the reason we do this. But this is not our own will!"
"What's your max with that?" Rito frowned, staring in surprise at his current interlocutor.
"We were threatened so much that we were forced to do a heinous thing!" The man raised his voice. It was obvious anger in his face water.
Rito was silent hearing that. He wanted to listen more, yet his body was not supportive for it. Rito began to feel his consciousness slowly fade away.
"I'd like to hear more details, but not for now. You guys go back and one has to come to this place tomorrow at noon."
After saying that Rito flipped over, as soon as possible stay away from them and ran towards the small alley not far from there. Rito knows very well that it is very dangerous to show a weak side in front of an opponent.
"Geez-uhuk! Damn, just using that technique a few times already had an impact like this." Rito sighed, looking at his palm. There was already a lump of blood coming out when he coughed.
"Damn, this is so tiring" just before Rito finished his words Rito was already lying unconscious with blood flowing from his mouth.
