After some time of silence thinking of ways, today Hera directly met her father and mother-in-law. Of course, Hera's plan is to thwart Iaros' request which could spark chaos.
But since Hera had to have a reasonable reason other than to make peace, it took Hera some time to this day.
In the main family leader's office, Hera sat on the sofa, opposite Orion and Tethia.
"Please forgive my boldness asking for your precious time, Father, Mother." Hera opens politely, as a form of respect is also certainly a strategy. "I think I should talk about this, too. If you'd allow it, of course."
Orion sipped his herbal tea quietly. "Say."
"good. I'll try to shorten it." Hera nodded formally. "Honestly, surely I have come to ask you not to accept Young Master Iaros' request."
Tethia seems to be observing Hera. "Your reason?"
"The main reason, of course, is personal, Mother. I don't want to trouble my Young Master."
Orion propped up his chin with a fist, clearly unwilling to hear the obvious. "If you come to ask, I think you have prepared a good enough reason. Tell me, my son."
"Please forgive me if this word is presumptuous." Hera smiled shadyly. "Don't you already know the reason Young Master Iaros asked is because of Young Miss Kamila?"
That's the base. Although it seems that Aether is too focused on Iaros' actions to the point of ignoring the consideration that her father already knows, Hera does not.
After all, even if Orion does not realize it because of the focus on doing the task as the head of the family, the head of the household aka Tethia where it might miss the information.
Iaros and Kamila's relationship has been going on for a long time. Tethia may have known since Iaros refused to marry at the age of seventeen.
"Dad, Mother." Hera looked at the two politely but did not relax her confident attitude. "I don't think the reason to 'love' a woman is the strong ambition of leading a family. I don't consider Young Master Iaros worthy of replacing my Young Master."
Tethia grunting. "Maybe it's true."
Her mother-in-law was not an easy opponent.
"But Iaros is Narendra. If he wins the power struggle, then he proves he is capable. You don't think so, my daughter?"
Hera chuckles. "I think so too."
Of course not. Aether mana may lose to a child who is too lulled by hormones to the point of going crazy.
"Did you think that wasn't a bad idea?"
So Tethia wanted Aether to kill Iaros to leave the impression 'who would dare to do something similar his fate would be the same?'. Her mother-in-law was very loud. Hera was fascinated.
"I'm not considering the same thing, Mother. I was right." Hera switched to Orion. "The reason I refuse is that the wife of Young Master Iaros will not be qualified in carrying out these responsibilities."
Orion. "That's right."
"Young Master Iaros sparked a rebellion because his desire for Miss Kamila was hindered by family rule. If Young Master Iaros leads the family, then his female choice for now is Helen and Young Miss Kamila. Do you think the two of them can take your place, Mother?"
Tethia chuckles. "So so. That's what you mean."
As expected of Tethia. He realized that today Hera did not really come to ask for cancellation, but rather stalled time also looking for information.
Now Hera knew that Tethia was considering the approval of Iaros' plan for Aether and Orion seemed to be still looking for reasons to refuse. In other words, around seventy percent or so, Iaros requests will be approved even if all risks follow.
And ... Hera understood that her request was rejected. Although Hera did deliberately not issue a reason that was quite acceptable.
"The wife of the family leader can be replaced when it is necessary." Orion said as Hera predicted. "The reason Iaros's wife is not qualified is not comparable to Iaros's request, Hera."
Hera nodded in acceptance, then paused after.
As soon as he walked out of the room, Hera's friendly expression suddenly cooled down.
It's dangerous, Hera thought now.
Tethia reasonably believed that Aether was unlikely to be overthrown by Iaros. But, there seems to be a consideration that Iaros could lead Narendra.
Not because of Iaros, but because of the 'woman' who accompanied Iaros.
The elders ... considered Demeter who was behind Iaros.
Whoever his wife is up to, is it? Hera felt like laughing. I know Demeter really likes Narendra. Apart from Demeter also not wanting the inter-brother killing to happen, if later Iaros really took the lead, then Demeter would definitely move behind Iaros.
If Demeter heard this, she would likely change her mind. Because Demeter .... has never liked a leadership she disliked.
But on the other hand, Hera could so conical the real reason for the rejection.
