“You accidentally passed?” Feng Zun glanced at the old man. “Do you dare let the Heart Detection Bell confirm that for me?”
The owner of this pawnshop has left behind three types of high-level artifacts.
The first one was called the Heart Detecting Bell, the artifact could sense every change in the hearts and minds of living beings.
The second is called the Counter Scale, the artifact can determine the value of an object.
The third one is called Star Ling, and can help pawnshops draft contracts, rewards, and punishments.
Each of these objects has an artifact spirit, and they are all magical.
Among them, Heart Detecting Bells are the most important for pawnshops. And it was an incredible type of divine artifact object.
It is by relying on these magical artifacts that pawnshops can sift through endless creatures, and conduct unimaginable business transactions, on an ongoing basis.
How do we achieve this?
By sifting and feeling their hearts!
The old pawnshop went stiff, then hurriedly said, “Your Majesty, I dare not lie to you. Even if there was a hidden reason behind the emergence of pawnshops in Mainland Luo, as I'm sure you know very well, I was just a lowly employee working on behalf of his employer. How could I possibly know such a secret?”
"So?" Feng Zun poured himself a cup of wine, then said, “Long of Heart Detectors, hurry out and chat.”
He had just said this when the bell rang, but his voice carried a hint of vibration.
Not far from it, a copper bell the size of a palm shot out from the corner of the room, which was reminiscent of a dark patch of chaos room.
It trembled and shook as it approached, looking frightened, agitated, and unsure.
Feng Zun could not help but rub his nose. “Am I really scary?”
The copper bells, abacus, and scales all shook, as if shaking their heads to deny it simultaneously.
However, the terror on their faces could be clearly seen.
Feng Zun was stunned, and he did not know whether to laugh or cry.
He has absolutely no problem with that.
The last time his teacher visited this pawnshop, he almost burned this whole place down.
It seemed like it left a shadow of deep trauma in the heart of every spirit within the artifact…
“Then, let's listen. Why does your employer want your pawnshop to appear in this world?” asked Feng Zun.
The Heart Detecting Bell shook and said with a nervous and timid whisper, “Yang…. Our mistress…. Leave a letter..”
The artifact spirit from the bell was so frightened, that he could not help but stutter, he clearly looked extremely nervous.
“Where is the letter?” Feng Zun was straight at the point.
Scales were the first to respond, "Your Majesty, please look."
With a glint of misty light, a folded black paper stork appeared on the scales.
The paper looks very alive.
“Another one of those paper cranes? Who would have thought a strong and cruel woman like your master, would like to fold a crane paper like a little girl?” Feng Zun could only sigh.
The pawnshop was silent.
The old pawnshops, scales, abacus, and bells all shrank back, they fell silent like crickets in winter.
Even if someone were to beat them to death, they would still not dare...
Feng Zun did not care about it, he simply took the black paper crane and unfolded its fold which turned into a letter.
There he saw a message written in the bloody script: “Hahahaha, Old Dragon, Mahaguru Buddha Heart Stone, the bald old donkey, had already told me that you might still be alive!”
The first sentence seemed to be right about his face. The corner of Feng Zun's lips twitched uncontrollably.
"Teacher, this is what you think. Even after all these years, that mad and vengeful woman had not changed in the slightest…"
He continued reading.
“After you open this letter, I will know that you have reappeared, old dragon bastard!"
“Unfortunately, I've ventured into the depths of the starry sky for big business deal, and I don't know when I'll be back. If I come back, I will smash your head with my own hands!”
Feng Zun could not help but rub his forehead.
He never expected, that his teacher would have such a complicated relationship with this monstrous woman.
The shadow of the woman who wrote this letter appeared in his mind. She was so beautiful that it looked exaggerated, but she was temperamental and cruel to the extreme.
Despite not knowing clearly about their relationship, Feng Zun naturally understood that their relationship was not superficial.
He shook his head and put aside his messy thoughts,
“Of course, if you want to change your mind, be willing to lower your head, and admit your mistake, when I return, I can give you a chance to open a new page.”.
He continued to discuss this for quite some time, it consumed more than half the contents of the letter.
However, Feng Zun ignored him and continued downwards.
“It doesn't matter whether you managed to find that Chosen Human or not, or in the realm of existence where you are now. You must be careful of that eldest demon and his disciple! They seem to realize that you didn't really disappear, and all this time they've been looking for clues to your whereabouts secretly."
“In addition, don't be so confident and think I wrote this because I care about you! I just don't want anyone else to kill you. If you're going to die, I'll have to kill you!'
“Finally, with this letter I warn you. If you dare to burn my pawnshop again, I will completely capture every woman you have ever come into contact with!”
When Feng Zun finished reading the letter, he flicked his finger, and the letter shattered into ashes.
Then, he sighed, “I always wonder about something. Is there any man in the world who can accept this temperament of your master?”
The old pawnshop and the three treasures remained silent.
None of them dared to comment about their employers.
Only the bronze lanterns responded, the light dimmed.
Feng Zun took another sip of his wine, “When did your master venture into the stars?”
The old pawnshop said respectfully, “About five hundred years ago, he went to the Little Western Heaven to meet the Heart-ink Buddha Master, then he continued on his way to outer space.”
Feng Zun asked, “Who is he doing business with?”
The old pawnbroker hesitated, then said, “This old man is not entirely sure, but I heard the big madam mention it before he left. He said this business deal involved someone calling themselves a 'prison spirited', and no matter what, he had to go alone.”
A warden!!
Feng Zun's forehead instantly shriveled .
The dim light from the bronze lamp on the reception desk illuminated his face that was covered in uncertainty.
