Fixing the Great Formation

There is an entirely blue Eight Trigram Furnace, with a nine-foot-tall black Altar in the center.

Those eight Furnaces were what instantly attracted Feng Zun's attention.

It was only about a foot tall, and its surface had eight strangely small nine-inch doors that symbolized the Eight Trigrams: Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen, and Dui.

The lid is perfectly round and carved with the moon, sun, stars, and other celestial bodies. 

There was even a three-inch bronze engraving in the shape of a black ox that seemed to be sitting crouching.

Lava surged around it, with a burning spiritual mist, smashing into that nine-foot-tall platform.

However, the Eight Trigrams Furnace was still standing there, completely motionless. 

From time to time, radiant divine light shot out from his eight doors, piercing through seventy-two bronze pillars. When this happened, the intricate dao runes carved on the surface of the bronze pillars flickered as if they were breathing.

“So so.” said Feng Zun. 

“This formation has an Immortal God-level spiritual artifact as its foundation, and this altar is connected to the mysterious bronze pillar, which can absorb the power in its territory…

When speaking up to here, he paused for a moment and looked at Emperor Long, “However, if I did, within a year, the Great Formation of Nine Furnaces would be completely destroyed, so you have to think about this well and carefully.”

Emperor Long's pupils constricted, and his expression was filled with uncertainty.

Every three days, he traveled to the heart of Tianmang Mountain to work on the Nine Furnace Great Formation and refine the Fantian Emperor Sword.

Fixing the formation was not difficult for Feng Zun, but it was troublesome and time-consuming.

In the cultivation world, someone who had reached the Spirit Dao, then he would need the Ultimate Innate Weapon. Because only then could he achieve the perfect unity of his cultivation base, the power of the Grand Dao, and also his soul.

In the heart of Tianmang Mountain, molten lava flared and surged.

Feng Zun sat cross-legged on a nine-foot-high black platform in the middle. The Eight Trigrams Immortal Furnace rumbled in front of him, enveloped with a radiance of divine light.

The Fantian Emperor Sword and the Blue Thunder Sword floated within the furnace, both of them were undergoing melting.

“To perfect the Unparalleled Innate Ultimate Weapon, one needs to possess a natural flame, or even a mysterious immortal flame. In the grand formation here, there was a fire born from the power of heaven and earth...

"In addition, there was still the Eight Trigrams Immortal Furnace as his forging tool. All of these are extremely rare spiritual objects in this world, but it turned out to be barely enough to make the Ultimate Innate Weapon truly perfect.”

Feng Zun's hands formed a seal, and he shot out one after another an obscure and mysterious secret Dao seal. They stood in front of the Eight Trigrams Immortal Furnace, letting out a rumble and buzzing.

The entire strange and intricate runes covering the seventy-two bronze pillars around him flickered, absorbing the fiery aura of lava, condensing it, and gathering everything into the furnace.

As time went by, the Fantian Emperor Sword gradually began to melt, while the Blue Thunder Sword shone with a clear red light.

The Blue Thunder Sword was the sword that Feng Zun had obtained on the Eternal Lotus Island, it was an Immortal God-level sword left behind by Emperor Mo Tianyuan.

Despite its good condition, the sword was almost completely broken, yet its materials and quality far surpassed any spiritual artifacts and heirlooms in this world.

Feng Zun planned to use it as a sword embryo, fusing the Fantian Emperor Sword into it to forge his own Innate Ultimate Weapon!

Shortly after, Feng Zun began to release the various Dao Rune and Fantian Emperor Sword seals, as well as the Soul Sealing Decree on its surface.

Before he reached the Spirit Dao stage, the Fantian Emperor Sword was the best weapon, but now that he had completed the Spiritual Manifestation Tribulation, the sword was no longer suitable for his abilities.  

Feng Zun then melted it.

However, he still kept the Netherflame DeMon Sparrow's soul essence and its source of power as a reserve.

Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen, and Dui were part of the ancient Chinese divination system used to analyze changes in life and the universe.

They were used in divination and ancient Chinese philosophy

The eight trigrams are part of Daoist cosmology, and when combined, the diagrams look like yin-yang trapped in an octagon. 

However, each trigram was actually a collection of lines, so each of these special furnace doors most likely had a line of varying lengths.
