The Fighter
Chapter 268 Departing Semedi

After the dinner, Ki Mahesa called Wisanggeni and Widjanarko into the room where the man rested. There was something that would be conveyed to his eldest son and youngest son, so that only the two of them were asked to come to his room that night. Without thinking, as a form of respect to his parents, Wisanggeni and Widjanarko rushed to his father's resting place.

"Greetings father.., Wisanggeni came to face." came first to Ki Mahesa's room, Wisanggeni said greetings. The old man smiled, then sat on the side of the bed.

"Sit down first my son Wisanggeni! We'll wait for your brother Widjanarko to come to this place, there's something important I want to tell you both." Ki Mahesa replied to the greeting sent by Wisanggeni,

The young man smiled, and nodded his head. Some time they waited for Widjanarko's arrival, and not long later a knocking sound was heard on the door of the room. Without answering, Wisanggeni stood up and opened the door from the inside, it was seen that Widjanarko had stood alone outside, without inviting Ahimsa and Kinara, he said,

"Sit the two of you near me!" ki Mahesa said slowly. The old man took out a bundle of ladybugs hanging on his waist. After a while of observing the package, then Ki Mahesa opened the package and took out three ancient books.,

"Janar.., Wisang.., there should be Lindhu Aji here. But I can convey a message for him through you guys." said Ki Mahesa pelas, both netraya look into the eyes of Widjanarko and Wisanggeni. The two sons fell silent, waiting for his father to finish speaking.

"Daddy's age is old.., it's time for the father to pull over.., in the sense that he no longer wants the world. I'll convey my father's intentions to you two. Accept this book, one by one for you." Ki Mahesa handed over two ancient books, one each to Widjanarko and Wisanggeni.

Widjanarko and Wisanggeni looked at each other, both confused by what his father did. But then, to listen to the words of Ki Mahesa they received each other one by one the ancient book given by Ki Mahesa.

"Good.., the entry or absence of the energy that I passed on to the two of you, even the three with Lindhu Aji. Ayahnda will undergo semedi.., where the time of his own father will not know when it will end. Even if Hyang Widhi would take his father's tribe and bring him to nirwanapun, he had prepared himself." hearing Ki Mahesa's words, the two men were shocked. Both were silent for a while, then..

"What exactly does a father mean..?? Do you not want to accompany your sons and grandchildren?" Widjanarko finally ventured to ask Ki Mahesa.

"You must not misrepresent your father's good intentions. Already the nature of my son's man, we are born carrying all burdens, multiplying offspring. At the time when one feels sufficient enough to obtain worldly sufficiency, he must stop all his desires. This time, it's time for me to fulfill that cycle of my son.." Ki Mahesa smiled and explained to Wisanggeni and Widjanarko.

"But father, we still feel that it is not enough to be accompanied by father in the care of our sons. Can't you delay this noble intention." Wisanggeni also spoke to restrain Ki Mahesa from leaving him.

"Understand the word for word that you have told you. Father's purpose is to invite you tonight, to inform or say goodbye to you. If until the time, your father returns, it means there is still time for your father to accompany my descendants, but if not. You must pray and feel sincerely let go of me." Widjanarko and Wisanggeni fell silent, bowing their heads in honor of his father's words. Various feelings rippled in their hearts. Although they often do not live with their father, but hear that their father has the intention to isolate themselves and meditate, their feelings do not allow.

***********

As told to his two sons, at midnight Ki Mahesa prepared to leave the hills of Mount Jambu. A horse had been prepared by the man to head to the place to be used for the mediation. The horse had been kept by Ki Mahesa for quite a while, and was only used if it had something important.

"It's enough to get here, Janar.., Wisang. I don't want it to get any harder to leave you, if you keep following me from behind." on the edge of a cliff, Ki Mahesa stopped his steps.

"But ayahnda." said Wisanggeni choked.

"Remember the words you once said to both of you. Go back. Take good care of your children and wives! Especially you Wisang, treat Rengganis and Maharani fairly, whatever is behind the union of your bonds." again heard Ki Mahesa beside his advice.

"Okay father.., this youngest son will always remind the message delivered by father." replied Wisanggeni stripped Ki Mahesa's words.

Seen as the eldest of three children, Widjanarko is calmer. The man could master the turmoil in his heart, since earlier the man just stared how Ki Mahesa gave advice to his ray.

"And you Widjanarko.takat Trah Bhirawa, many people depend on living with the greatness of our breed. Don't disappoint me..!" Student Ki switched to leave a message for Widjanarko.

"Well father, the word that my father conveyed will be run" said Widjanarko flat with a tight feeling that squeezed his chest.

The three male legs fell silent, then after a while, Ki Mahesa turned around and hugged her two sons tightly. The situation repeated for some time, then Ki Mahesa stopped her embrace. Without speaking any more, the old man stomped his feet and used a horse darting away down the cliff that was in front of them.

Tightness, and the eyes of both young men Ki Mahesa's son felt hot, and Unknowingly their eyelids were already wet with tears dripping down.

"It's Rayi.., we have to go back to inner school immediately. There is still much we need to re-bug, for the survival of the Bhirawa breed. We have to run the message sent by my father." Widjanarko's voice suddenly broke the daydreams of Wisanggeni.

"Good kang Janar.." said Wisanggeni lirih responding to his brother's invitation. The brothers looked at each other.

Widjanarko smiled then stomped his feet and left Wisanggeni alone in that place. The boy looked back at the direction where Ki Mahesa had escaped from, and there was already nothing in front of him. After taking a deep breath, Wisanggeni finally followed Widjanarko back into the college.
