The Fire Dragon Sword

The Fire Dragon Sword
The Oddity of Khayangan Temple

Saung Galah's guest hall is located on the south side of the main palace, its location is a little remote makes the atmosphere so calm. There were only a few soldiers standing guard at the main gate of the hall.

Agam who was in one of the rooms seemed to close the book of Sabdo Lodge after feeling the presence of someone.

"I hope you have a good reason to bother me tonight" said Agam.

Before long a warrior wearing a mask entered the room, he was seen lowering his head before starting to speak.

"Naradipta saluted the chairman" he said politely.

"Did something happen?" reply Agam quickly.

"Sorry chief, I want to convey an important matter to you, the fire demon appears around the Khayangan Temple," replied Naradipta.

"The devil of fire appears near the temple of khayangan? are you sure?" ask Agam surprised.

"I saw for myself he was fighting a mysterious warrior" replied Naradipta.

"What is the centurion who is his opponent?"

"I don't know, sir, because the night was very dark, but surely the opponent couldn't do much" Naradipta replied.

Agam nodded softly, "So he is still alive huh, what is he actually doing in that place."

"Is it possible that he already knew the secret inside the temple of the chief?"

"No way, only the book of Sabdo lodge holds the secret of the temple of Khayangan unless they tell it themselves" Agam replied indignantly.

"So you mean?"

"It looks like Hangareksa didn't manage to defeat them and something might happen in that fight. If the fire demon gets mixed up then this matter will become much more complicated," replied Agam while shaking his head slowly.

Agam did deliberately tease Malwageni so that Sabrang attention diverted from the temple khayangan and busy solving the mystery in the fake Sabdo Lodge book that he deliberately placed in the ancient tomb.

He who began to observe Sabrang after the news of his fight in Dieng felt a little worried when he found out they entered Nagari Dayang Padang especially with Wardhana at his side.

He's afraid Wardhana's finding clues to a forbidden civilization where they used to hide.

"Then what are we going to do, chief?" ask Naradipta.

"We better not move first because it will be very difficult to deal with the fire demon at a time like this, there are still some things I have to do to make dad stronger including looking for the existence of the Waves Blade heirloom.

You watch them from afar for a while and report to me if anything happens in that temple. Before I finish preparing everything, we only move when we are forced to" replied Agam slowly.

"Both the chairman," answered Naradipta quickly.

"Wardhana, who are you? my whole life just this time I can't read people's movements, it's a pity that you're not on our side" Agam said in his heart as he took a deep breath. It had been imagined in his mind how difficult it was to deal with all of Wardhana's cunning schemes.

"Do I have to kill him?" Agam dissolved in his mind and involuntarily fell asleep in a chair.

***

Wardhana stared out from the gap in the corner of his room, the atmosphere around the ancient lake was slightly bright due to the reflection of the moonlight.

"Tomorrow night, the full moon will reach its peak and that means Ajidarma will sit all night at the top of the Temple...What does he really want to see from the top of the Khayangan Temple?" wardhana said in her heart.

As Wardhana was thinking, the door to her room was knocked on.

"Master," call Cokro slowly.

"Come in," replied Wardhana slowly.

Cokro then opened the room door and stepped in.

"Sorry sir, I'm a little late" said Cokro.

"Let's go," answered Wardhana briefly, he was already impatient to see the view of the lake from the top of the Khayangan Temple during the full moon.

Khayangan Temple consists of five terraces, all connected by stone steps. Each terrace has several small buildings that all face towards the sunrise.

One thing Wardhana finally realized, the stones used to build the temple khayangan exactly the same as the rocks in the Temple of Khayangan and Kenteng Songo.

After climbing dozens of steps, they finally reached the top of the Temple. Wardhana looked amazed when he saw the surrounding scenery from above. The Khayangan Temple is like a lotus flower floating on the water.

"This temple is different from the other two buildings, if the songo temple and Nagari day field is surrounded by a river, this place is really built on water," said Wardhana in his heart.

Wardhana actually can already guess a little if all the heritage buildings of forbidden civilizations are always related to water and moonlight but he did not expect the Khayangan Temple was built right on the water that causes the moonlight not focused at one point like in songo temple.

"Is it possible that this time it has nothing to do with moonlight?"

Wardhana then stepped closer to one of the small buildings at the top of the temple and gazed westward.

"The Great Lord usually sits here all night when the full moon reaches its peak" said Cokro, pointing at a large rock on the edge of the building.

"Is it always every full moon?" Wardhana turned her head and stepped closer to the stone.

"Did he ever say anything to you?" ask Wardhana while sitting on that rock. He tried to estimate what Ajidarma was actually seeing.

"Grand Master never said a word while he was sitting here but when Mr. Arda Sukma disappeared with the book of Sabdo Lodge he once said that Mr. Sukma had made a big mistake, nothing can block the moonlight from opening up what has been buried even if the key is lost.

I don't know what he meant because he never explained the meaning of the word but that night, for the first time the great master came down from this place before morning came," replied Cokro quietly.

"The moonlight is, I suspect, all the buildings of the relics of the forbidden civilization are always in contact with the moonlight," Wardhana continued to stare in all directions and occasionally his head looked up at the moon.

Long enough Wardhana sat staring at the stone while thinking but until morning almost arrived he still did not understand what Ajidarma actually saw.

"Did you remember where Mr Darma's eyes were going when he was sitting in this place?" ask Wardhana slowly.

"His sight? I didn't pay much attention to him, sir, but if I don't remember him wrongly when almost at the end of the night, he always stared westward" Ajidarma replied.

"Evening end? wait a minute, the moonlight usually disappears at the end of the night except when the full moon reaches its peak which is actually getting brighter before drowning and changing in the morning. If he's looking west and the moon is in position now means..." Wardhana looks to turn her head in all directions before her gaze comes to a halt at one point.

Wardhana scrunched her forehead when she saw the small water bubble bubble right in the middle of the ancient lake. He turned around to look for other water bubbles but was not found.

"How can the bubble appear when the lake water conditions are very calm, or do not have air at the bottom of the lake?" he said in his heart.

Wardhana then looked for a small rock and threw it right in the water bubble.

"Did you find anything sir?" tanya Cokro curious.

"I'm not sure because I have to make sure first. You once said that the floor in Mr. Ajidarma's room was like a symbol, right?"

Cokro nodded softly, "Symbols as strange as the picture of the full moon, water and dozens of people holding swords."

"Tomorrow is a full moon peak and the Great Lord will be sitting all night in this place, will I be able to go in silent to check it out?" ask Wardhana slowly.

"I'm not sure sir, the room is always in the care of the swordsmen Kalang trust, it will be difficult to ask permission from them," replied Cokro quickly.

"Are you not a family under the leadership of Hangareksa? it doesn't seem like a problem if I ask him" Wardhana replied.

"It's not that easy sir," Cokro seemed hesitant to explain anything.

"Since Mr. Arda Sukma disappeared with the book of Sabdo Lodge, some of the warriors seemed to blame Mr. Hangareksa for his brother's behavior. Some even brightly lit warriors showed dislike for the chairman, and either coincidentally or not they were the confidants of the Great Lord. From that moment on the swordsman Kalang seemed to split into two.

You are a new person and also a descendant of lord Sukma who until now was considered a traitor, it seems quite difficult to ask them to give way to investigate the master's room," replied Cokro.

Wardhana was quite surprised to hear Cokro's confession, he did not expect that in the body of the swordsman Kalang was split in two.

"Is there no other way for me to get in? I'm sure there's an important clue in that room about all these great mysteries" Wardhana said quickly.

"There's actually a way to get into that room without going through their guard but it's going to be very dangerous" Cokro replied hesitantly.

"Say, it would be much more dangerous if I didn't manage to unravel all these mysteries because I believe something is being hidden by your supreme leader" Wardhana replied.

"Great master's room is on the terrace four or one level away from the top of the temple and that means the room is in a high enough place. The fourth terrace is where most buildings are located.

There is a small gap between the building that is commonly used by the head for asceticism. If you enter the gap, there is a rest of the terrace that can be used to creep towards the outside window of the room of the Great Lord.

But if the footrest slips a little, you will fall into the cold lake and the Great Lord will immediately realize it. Not to mention the reflection of your shadow by the moonlight in the lake water will be seen by the Great Lord. You have to move at the most appropriate time, sir," said Cokro worried.

"Is the window unlocked?" ask Wardhana.

"Great master never locked his room because it was guarded by almost half of the warriors at times like this" replied Cokro.

"Well, tomorrow night I'm going in" replied Wardhana quickly.

"But sir, falling into the lake at night would be very dangerous. Your body will instantly freeze before sinking to the bottom of the lake."

"Directly frozen with the forest conditions are not too cold?" wardhana was surprised.

"That's what happened, sir, once there was one of the swordsmen who was on guard slipped and fell into the lake, the next day he was found floating with a body covered in ice. It seems like the air in this place is indeed unique because it is much cooler than other forests" replied Cokro.

Wardhana's smile immediately expands as if knowing something.

"It is impossible with the typical air temperature of Jawata that is hot enough to be able to freeze people in an instant, if indeed this place is very cold there must be someone who created it in a way and I will dismantle all the oddities of this place sooner or later" Wardhana said.
