Chapter CVIII - A Thousand Years Ago, was once the past

"You sure?" Shen Lan asked back.

Yi Changyin only smiled, his eyes glaring. "Even if I had to sacrifice my dream a long time ago, if it was the best, then I'm sure I'm sure.." Reply sure.

Yi Changyin did not reply at all. However Xuan Chen paid no heed to it as if it was no problem. The man began to disassemble the bushel which was only a bowl of soup.

"I know you won't eat much. But this soup is quite filling." He said as he opened the soup lid, scooped it up, then blew it slowly.

Yi Changyin silently watched him without making a sound. Until Xuan Chen thrust a spoonful of soup at him.

"Xuan Chen's.." Yi Changyin said in a soft tone, "tell the emperor, our marriage can be done 40 days after Jinmi's death."

Xuan Chen nodded with a smile. "All right, I get it. But eat a little.."

Yi Changyin lowered his head while shaking his head.

"Something's up?" Xuan Chen asked gently as he stroked the back of his hand.
