Chapter 7. Escape 2

It had been two days that Lin Tian and Zhang Qiaofeng had continued to travel south. However, the trip this time was different from the previous one done by running fast, currently the two of them were traveling on foot due to their bodies that had been injured especially Lin Tian.

That morning Lin Tian and Zhang Qiaofeng were still sound asleep under a towering shady tree, they woke up shocked by the crowing of the partridge and the singing of wild birds whose voices broke the silence of the forest.

"Young...."Zhang Qiaofeng yawned widely while moving his stiff body.

While Lin Tian had already risen to his feet and was about to walk away from it, but his steps were stopped by the question of his young Miss.

"Tian'er where are you going?"

"I want to go to the river near here Miss, to wash my face while looking for fish for our breakfast."

"I'm coming!!" Zhang Qiaofeng replied as he jumped to his feet.

"No need Miss, you better rest here."

"No, I'm coming!! Your body has been injured like that, and now no one else can take care of you but me. If you accidentally slip and drown!? If I don't help you then who else!?? Anyway I'm coming, come on!"

Lin Tian only let out a heavy sigh, if his young Miss was already like this there could be no one else who could stop her other than her own mother. Basic stubborn, thought Lin Tian.

"Alright, let's go this way, Miss."

A few minutes passed finally they arrived at a river that was wide enough to be decorated with black stones on the left right of the river. At the end there is a towering waterfall, the splash of water that meets the morning sunlight forms a rainbow that adds to the beauty of the place.

"Waaahh." Zhang Qiaofeng muttered in admiration.

Lin Tian ignored him, this child walked towards the riverbank and squatted down and washed his face with the fresh water. A cold sensation was felt by Lin Tian's face that was filled with injuries.

After washing his face a few times, he got up and pulled out his sword preparing to search and catch the passing fishes.

Suddenly from the back was felt by Lin Tian a sharp wind was pointing at him, then...

"Scraash.craassh"

Two thin blades shot out quickly and had already pierced the two fish that were swimming nearby, without a second thought Lin Tian then took the two fish and carried them towards Zhang Qiaofeng.

"Your knife-throw is great Miss." Praise Lin Tian in a tone of amazement to Zhang Qiaofeng. Indeed, the two thin blades belonged to Zhang Qiaofeng who this girl threw from a distance.

Seeing the two knives hit the target let alone the two fish were swimming fast, showing that the foresight of this girl's eyes was extraordinary.

"Hehehe." Zhang Qiaofeng said as he turned his waist and puffed his chest, he felt proud of himself after hearing Lin Tian's praise.

"I knew that there were two fish passing in front of you, but I never thought that my throw would hit him, so you could say all this was just a coincidence hihi." Zhang Qiaofeng said which of course was to maintain his pride, he did not say it directly to Lin Tian but only said inwardly.

"Alright, let's make a bonfire and fill our bellies." At last these were the words that came out of Zhang Qiaofeng's mouth.

Lin Tian simply complied and went to look for some dried twigs to burn and serve as a bonfire.

When Lin Tian and Zhang Qiaofeng were busy making their breakfast, suddenly their ears heard the sound of horse legs from far away gradually approaching towards them.

Lin Tian and Zhang Qiaofeng instantly stood up and whipped out their respective weapons, they could not be sure whether the ones coming this time were comrades or opponents so they chose to be cautious and vigilant.

Just as their hands were holding weapons, a shadow seemed to be flashing very quickly towards the direction of the place.

"Creeup"

The bonfire they made immediately scattered due to the shadow. After a closer look, it turns out that the shadow is an arrow shot by someone from a distance.

"Cihh."

Unexpectedly it turns out that the riding troupe had arrived before them. The company was made up of three horsemen who saw from their clothes, all of them were warriors.

"That's it!! The young miss of the Zhang family and her bodyguards, seraang!!" Said one of them while moving his horse towards Lin Tian and Zhang Qiaofeng.

Lin Tian who was feeling very angry that his breakfast had been ruined by them then took out a handful of still-burning campfire branches and threw them towards the horse.

The horse looked startled, he was about to dodge but too late, the twig had already landed on his chest and started burning himself. The horse neighs the heat and jumps around.

Spontaneous horseman immediately jumped down, but had just stepped on the ground, his chest had been pierced by an arrow whose tip was still burning. This person screamed in pain then cornered and died instantly.

The arrow was the arrow that had damaged the bonfire and was used by Lin Tian to end the life of the horseman.

"Nation!!" Shouted two other horsemen with mounting anger. They then charged his horse and directly attacked Zhang Qiaofeng and Lin Tian.

But with a quick and beautiful movement, Zhang Qiaofeng had already jumped up and pounded the heads of the two people, making them fall from their respective horses.

Then as fast as lightning Lin Tian instantly moved his sword slitting the throats of the two people who had not had time to rise from the ground due to falling from the horse.

"Hmph!! It turns out it's just a lowly croco!" As Zhang Qiaofeng looked at their corpses and said.

After successfully killing them, Lin Tian immediately jumped towards the two horses that ran to and fro in fear. He pulled the two horses and calmed them down.

"Miss, now that we have horses, this is great for our trip." Shouted Lin Tian from a distance to Zhang Qiaofeng who was still nagging indistinctly to the two corpses.

"Eh? oh. That's so good Lin Tian." Zhang Qiaofeng said as he gave a thumbs up his right hand.

"Let's go Miss, our whereabouts here are known."

"But I'm still hungry..."

"Himwa we're more important Miss, we have to hurry." Said Lin Tian while jumping on the back of one of the horses.

With his head bowed lethargic Zhang Qioafeng approached Lin Tian and jumped up the back of the other horse.

That morning with their stomachs still empty, they again continued the long journey to run from the enemy.

Just thirty minutes into their journey on horseback, Lin Tian's horse head was suddenly pierced by a black nail that came out of nowhere. The horse instantly collapsed as well as Lin Tian who was immediately thrown forward.

"Tianar!!" Zhang Qiaofeng stopped his horse and looked towards Lin Tian.

Lin Tian had not gotten up yet, from behind him back slid a few black spikes. This time the target was Zhang Qiaofeng.

"Ck...especially now?" Zhang Qiaofeng murmured who was upset that the enemy kept coming.

After a while, seven men appeared, all of whom had a sword hanging on their backs.

"Young Miss Zhang give up!! You won't be able to run anymore." Speak to one of them loudly.

"Dam!! What right do you have to set me up!??" Reply Zhang Qiaofeng who was no less fierce.

Since this girl was already feeling tired and lazy to continue fighting, she then squeezed out something as big as a grape from behind her pocket. This is a smoke bomb that consequently can make the eyes sore and suffocate the breath, this object is very suitable for escape.

So why didn't Zhang Qiaofeng use this thing from yesterday? Because she only had one, so this girl would only use this thing if it was in an urgent situation like this right now.

"Eat this" Zhang Qiaofeng said as he threw the bomb at the seven of them, then as fast as lightning his hand had already gripped the collar of Lin Tian's shirt and threw the child onto the back of his horse. He ransacked his horse and ran away from it.

"Damnahana!! uhuk...uhukk..stop kaliaann!!" Shouted one of them with a hoarse voice due to the smoke generated from the bomb.

Zhang Qiaofeng paid no heed to that and continued to advance his horse.

After they ran quite far from where it was, Lin Tian suddenly said. "Miss, the smoke I think will only last a while, soon they will surely catch up with us."

"I know, that's why we need to find a place to hide."

"There must be someone holding them back so that one of us can survive Miss."

Suddenly Zhang Qiaofeng instantly stopped his horse.

"What do you mean Lin Tian!!" Zhang Qiaofeng snapped while throwing a sharp glare towards Lin Tian.

"Sorry Miss."

After saying so, once his hand moved, Lin Tian had already poked into Zhang Qiaofeng's path of blood which left the girl paralyzed instantly and falling face down on the horse's back.

Then Lin Tian jumped down and jutted while saying. "I'm sorry, lady, I'm doing this for your safety. As I have said, there must be someone holding them back in order for one of them to survive, let me be the shield for you Miss as I swore a while ago."

"No!! we'll be safe together, hurry up and we'll get out of here!!" Zhang Qiaofeng's orders were frantic, worried that Lin Tian would actually go head to head against them alone.

"Sorry Miss" After saying so, Lin Tian kicked the horse's butt hard. Due to the pain of the horse neighing and immediately running quickly brought Zhang Qiaofeng who was still limp in a prone state.

"No.no Lin Tian, come back you!! Lin Tiaaaann!!!" Shouted Zhang Qiaofeng who went further and further.

Lin Tian simply smiled widely and waved his hand while shouting. "Live up Miss!! Don't waste our sacrifice."

Then Zhang Qiaofeng's shadow with the horse completely vanished behind the lush forest tree.

Lin Tian stopped the wave of his hand, he was still standing pensively in his place looking towards the passing of Zhang Qiaofeng. I could not feel her tears dripping down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry Miss for doing all this, but somehow I feel like you're not going to die today and you're going to live on until tomorrow. You are the only hope of the Zhang family at this time, may you be healthy always and in the future we can meet again. Goodbye goodbye...Miss." Said Lin Tian in an actual heart also very reluctant to part with his young Miss.

Then Lin Tian quickly wiped his tears and instantly turned his body to face the seven swordsmen.

The sound of a very loud gun battle broke the silence of the forest.

But it seemed like Lin Tian was too considerate of the height of the seven warriors, though, he thought that if the seven warriors had great abilities it turned out that their abilities were much weaker than the invaders of the Zhang family leader's residence at that time. It could even be said that the individual abilities of the seven warriors were slightly weaker than Lin Tian.

But since they were attacking the seven and Lin Tian was only alone coupled with the injured state, it was also troublesome that he was facing the braking. Currently Lin Tian had only managed to kill four of them and there were still three people left.

But Lin Tian was neither afraid nor panicked, instead he felt relieved that he had thought of a plan that was quite fraudulent for a swordsman like him, instead, but because the situation was really desperate and unfavorable then inevitably he would use the plan.

Not long after, the three warriors arrived.

"Heh boy, looks like you can't run anymore huh..hahaha!!"

"In a moment you will die, boy, don't forget to say my regards to the Zhang family leader in the universe hahaha!!"

The three swordsmen laughed together to humiliate Lin Tian who looked cornered.

"We'll see who dies today. Go ye!!" Snapped Lin Tian who was already prepared with his sword.

Without waiting any longer, one of them immediately jumped forward and sent out a deadly attack. This was what Lin Tian wanted, when the swordsman was close to him, Lin Tian dodged the attack by sneaking between the two swordsmen's legs.

The swordsman was startled, but before he lost his shock, Lin Tian had already stood up with both hands as his pedestal and kicked the person's back with a deep exertion.

"Deess"

Lin Tian's legs managed to hit the person's back which made him bounce and fall into the abyss.

"Aaaaaaarrrggghhh!!" There was a terrible scream from the fallen man. Then the voice went further and finally disappeared.

The two remaining people stood up with pale faces and shivering bodies, if it was like this they would most likely not die on Lin Tian's sword but would die falling into the abyss.

"How's?? You guys wanna try?" Said Lin Tian coldly who had already risen to his feet.

"Bajingaaannn!!"

Together the two people then ganged at Lin Tian. But after a quarter of an hour had passed, Lin Tian managed to knock them down with one man he dropped into the ravine and another he stabbed his heart.

"Huh..huh....huh...." Lin Tian's breathing hunted down with a pale face. The wounds on his body were getting worse from the battle this time. Because his body was already too tired, he finally collapsed unconscious on the edge of the ravine.
