CHAPTER 31

The general could not accept what happened to him, his hands were not working. Anger was still visible on his old face. The soldiers who followed him could not help themselves in a state that could not move because in the artificial prison Leave and Minami were always watching them.

"So old man, it's better to just go home and treat your wounds before they get severe. And your wife would be sad to see you like this." Aquila said like a filial child but in a cynical and condescending tone.

"I will not go home before cutting off your head and giving it to my son whom you have destroyed his future." The general was still firm with his stance, then stood up and took his sword lying not far from where it is now. With a twisted and swollen hand, the general continued to force his hand to hold the broken sword.

"Old man is very stubborn." Aquila then disappeared from the face of the southern imperial general and appeared behind him and struck him on the neck until the general was unconscious.

"Huh, this is better. Brother Nami, please take care of this old man."Aquila shouted at Minami who was sitting on the roof of Leave's crystal prison.

"Well miss." Minami came down from the prison roof and went straight to the unconscious general's place.

Aquila immediately uses her wind magic to catch up with Shiro who is fighting with Griffin who is none other than the unconscious Lossiel due to the curse of slavery.

Above the sky was full of black clouds and flaming lightning and deafening rumbling sounds that listened to him. There was a cat with a tail that waved because it was exposed to the wind with white wings that kept flapping to stay in place, and a Griffin who kept attacking but the attack seemed not to want to hurt the cat in front of him.

Talking is useless, because the answer thrown is just a threatening growl. So Shiro better keep quiet and keep dodging, even though the attack did not hit him.

Aquila in the clouds could not see clearly, as her gaze was blocked by the black fog and blinding flashes of light.

"I'd rather see it from afar, than be this close to making my eyes hurt." Aquila's ravings because of the charged light kept on grabbing.

"Where are they, this mist just bothers." Aquila made a simple ancient rune and channeled her mana to activate it, a gray-colored light shot out from within the runes and then a huge wind came and removed the fog that was blocking her view.

After the fog within the black clouds disappeared, a thunderbolt headed towards Aquila at high speed. But for Aquila it was just the usual speed Shiro used to chase him in the game or practice first.

Aquila easily avoided it, but the ground beneath it became hollow with soaring black smoke.

"It looks like I'll have to fix everything after it's over." Aquila complained then saw the origin of the attack earlier.

Right above, a dull golden-yellow Griffin saint beast continuously attacked a white cat with wings that continued to dodge but the attack did not want to hurt him.

Aquila flew straight towards them and stopped in the middle of it and saw the griffin's agonizing look on his face. Then Aquila stretched out her arms to receive the attack directed at the cat behind her.

"Sister, don't act stupid.!!" yelled Shiro panicked.

"I'm fine, calm down." Aquila's words calmed down, then a great thunderbolt about Aquila's body.

"Sister.....!!" Shiro flew straight towards Aquila, but the one who was worried was not around. But it appeared in front of the Griffin.

Aquila scratched the tip of the small stick into her palm and spat out a little blood, then the hand touched the forehead of the Griffin. Aquila hugged the eagle's head and stroked it with an injured hand.

"Gheerrr..." The small growl seemed to imply a deep sadness and longing.

"Calm down, brother is here. Didn't Rugiel himself ask me to pick you up. Brother is here and will take you back."

Aquila's words were like magic, the large animal that had previously been ferociously attacking now became calm in Aquila's arms. Griffin's large body slowly cracked and from the crack came out a light that followed the pattern of cracks and then fell down one by one like pieces of paper that fell from a height and disappeared in the wind.

After all the pieces had fallen, and in Aquila's arms was a little boy with yellow hair who was crying.

"Sister, thank you for picking me up.." The boy cried in Aquila's arms.

"There's no need to cry, brother's here." Aquila said softly.

Aquila and Rugiel were unconscious and fell from a high altitude at an extremely fast speed. Shiro immediately widened his eyes as they both fell very quickly right before his eyes .

"SISTER.......!!!!!" Shouted Shiro as he reached for the two of them who were in free fall in the air.

Minami and Leave can only worry about seeing her unconscious nona child in her arms, and Shiro who is still trying to catch up to them despite being left far behind.

A tense scene for those who see it, especially Shiro who is trying to save the most important person in his life. Aquila and Lossiel almost touched the ground, Shiro immediately grabbed them with his back at a critical moment.

Shiro's heart was almost out of place when he could not catch them both, Leave and Minami felt the same way Shiro felt.

Shiro lands in front of Leave and Minami is slowly afraid of hurting the person on her back, then lowers her legs slowly. Minami went straight up and pulled Aquila and Lossiel off Shiro's back and placed down a pile of grass that had just been grown by Leave.

Minami swiftly used the light magic she mastered to recover Aquila's mana and heal the wounds obtained from Griffin's attack earlier.

"How's Miss Nami doing?" Ask Leave anxiously.

"Miss is fine, and it's likely that tomorrow will come to a realization." Minami said with a sigh of relief.

"What about Rugiel?" Ask Shiro.

"It is possible to be conscious from his sleep takes a long time sir." Minami as she casts her healing light towards the still-coldened Rugiel.

"Thank God, at least he got out of that guy's arms." Shiro said with relief despite having to wait a long time for the brother's consciousness that he awaited long enough and suffering.
