The Heart of Old Menjakaka

The Heart of Old Menjakaka
15. Does that matter?

"What did you eat, anyway? How can stomach pain?" sindi asked as she saw her son return and sit in his chair. He and Fira had even finished eating.

Steven rubbed his cold sweat on the forehead area, then he sipped the mango juice until it was gone. It turns out that clumping in the toilet makes his throat dry. But thankfully, he did not see the existence of Citra, it seems that the girl has gone home.

"I didn't eat anything. Ah, looks like I'm going back to the office huh, Ma."

"Kok back to the office? You haven't had lunch yet, Stev!" Sindi's face looks so anxious looking at her son.

"I just want to take away. Ask to be sent to the office. I'm first, Ma." Steven got up, then approached Sindi to kiss her forehead. "Mom be careful on the road, let me have my assistant pick me up."

After that Steven passed away leaving the two women who looked disappointed. Especially Sindy.

'This Steven 'Ah. He seemed to avoid, when there was something I wanted to talk about his future, Sindi's inner self while staring at the wide back of his son who had disappeared from the glass door.

"Fira sorry Steven, huh? He's a crazy kid with a job." Sindi rubbed the shoulder of the beautiful woman who had been silent since then while smiling. To be honest, Sindi felt bad for him at the moment.

"It's okay, Tan. I can understand him." Fira smiles.

"Thank you, honey. Yes already ... we go yuk, to the mall. We're shopping." Sindi got up from her seat, then called the waiter to pay for their lunch. Fira just nodded her head and followed the request of the middle-aged woman

"Citra, where's Om Ganteng? How did we get there first?" ask Rosa. He stared at the tightly shut apartment door with a disappointed face. The three of them asked the waiter to wrap the food because they could not wait to go home and meet Steven.

Actually Citra was the first to want to go home, because it wants to quickly meet Steven. But both of his friends wanted to come along out of curiosity and wanted to see Steven too. They want to make sure, if what the image says is not a lie and only a hallucination.

"I don't know either. But you promised, huh? If you have met him .. go straight home. And no one has a crush on Om Ganteng, he's my husband." The image of sitting on the terrace chair, as well as his two friends.

"Yes, we're going home. But beware that you're lying, Cit," Rosa threatened.

"Yes, but if you're just halu, then instead you buy us a month's worth of food. Isn't that right, Ros?" Luci asked for permission from his friend. They can still use the image in this situation, even though the girl looks confused waiting for Steven who never came.

"Yes, I agree." Rosa.

After a few minutes have passed.

"Partner, forgive me if ...." Steven has come, his steps and words hang when suddenly the image scatters a hug to him. The girl looks very happy because she has managed to show Steven to her two friends.

"Why is it so long? I was waiting for it," Citra said in a spoiled voice, she looked up at Steven's sweaty handsome face.

"Sorry, it was on a jammed road." Steven immediately let go of the girl's embrace when he realized there were two gawking girls watching them. Even one of Citra's friends who had short hair to drool because they were fascinated to see Steven's good looks. "You who? Looking for an apartment?" guess Steven.

"No, Om. We ...." Rosa nervously wanted to answer, and in the end her speech was cut off by Citra.

"They're both my friends, Om. Said they wanted to see Om Ganteng. Please tell them that we are married. Yeah, right, Om?" The image grabs Steven's hand which is attached to the wedding ring. And the two friends immediately shifted the focus that was originally on the face now in his hand.

"Is it true that Om and Citra are married?" asked Rosa curiously.

"Now you go in and take all this." Instead of answering the question, Steven actually released a tight hug Citra on his stomach and gave some paper bag that he brought.

"Om tell my friend first, that we're married." Imagery won't come in if Steven hasn't convinced his friend, but unfortunately Steven is reluctant to be honest.

"You just get out of here. Me and Citra want lunch." Steven pulled Citra's arm, then unlocked the apartment and then just went inside. Leaving the two girls who still looked confused in front of the terrace.

"Why not say we're married? Why are you just silent?" The image looked disappointed, he sat down with an annoyed face and saw Steven pass away to the kitchen, and seconds later the handsome man returned with a bowl, spoon and plate, and a few seconds later, then put it on the table.

"For what, anyway?" Steven stared fiercely at Citra with a jaw that looked hardened. "Why should you tell stories to your friends? Does that matter?"

"Yes, that's important. My friends want to know."

"You can't tell anyone that we're married. Enough of your family and the closest people, besides you don't have to tell anyone else." Steven sat down on the sofa beside Citra, then poured a pack of soto into the bowl.

"But my friend's the closest person, too, Om."

"They're excepted."

"Why? And why can't I tell you we're married? Why use the secrecy of everything?" The image looked at Steven with a bangladesh.

"That's because ...." Steven just hung up his words, he was silent for a moment. Though Citra itself is very curious. The next moment, he continued. "That's .. that's because you're now in college."

"Lecture? Indeed why?" Citra's forehead wrinkled.

"Rules on your campus if there are students and freshmen entering college...it should not be married, all must be single."

"There are rules like that? I just heard." The image seemed to be in disbelief with what the handsome man beside her said, whether he was honest or not. But his face looks so convincing.

"Yes, that's the rule. That's the new rule."

"Om lying what isn't it?"

"Seriously, why am I lying."

The image was silent for a moment while looking at Steven's face, now the man has devoured soto.

"Oh yeah, according to him. What I did was for you too. For your future." Steven shifted Citra's soto bowl to him. "Have eaten, don't talk about something like that. Now just focus on your lecture, don't think about anything unimportant."

The image fell silent while looking at Steven. The handsome man was eating well. 'No importance? But I think it's important. If indeed I am in college can not be married ... continue why do you want to quickly marry me with Om Ganteng? Is it just because you wanted to see me married before she died? But why would Dad lie that Om Ganteng likes me too? But actually not. If only to keep ... Om Gugun can. Why are you playing with my feelings? Though I've been geer first and like the same Om Ganteng.'

"Eh, you're coming in, Cit?" steven asked as Citra passed into his room, without saying a word and closing the door. But he had a glimpse of the girls hands touching her wet cheeks, her face also looking sad.

'What is Citra Nangis? Butwhy? What is the miss of Danu's father?' Steven was speechless as he stared at the tightly shut door of Citra's room.
