The Heiress'S Love

The Heiress'S Love
Chapters 13. Sisters

Daniel was watching his younger sister play the piano. For a month his sister had been living there and Daniel had been watching Natasha from afar without her knowledge. He was grateful that Natasha could adjust well. Regina McSwiney, who is Natasha's closest friend, was also influential in her sister's daily life on campus. They get familiar quickly.

One other person who is still under the supervision of Daniel is Ivan Ed Squires. The man who is often seen approaching Natasha blatantly. He's still waiting for the results of Dmitry's investigation, his right hand.

“Daniel.” Natasha's soft voice broke Daniel's daydream.

“Yes dear.” Daniel approaches Natasha.

“When can I bring my own car?” Tanya Natasha looked at her brother fixedly.

“Later if you are 18 years old.” Answer Daniel.

Natasha piqued her lips annoyed at Daniel's reply, it took her another two years to be able to bring her own car, “why can't I bring my own car?”

“You are not old enough, honey, there is also a driver who can take you anywhere you want to go.” Daniel's Light.

“Then dating?”

The choking sound of someone made Natasha and Daniel turn towards the source of the sound. James who happened to cross the living room while drinking, immediately spouted back the water that had just soaked his dry throat. Daniel could not hide his laughter looking at James' reddened face. His foster sister immediately raised her legs without saying anything.

“What's with James?” Natasha asked confusedly.

Daniel turned his attention back to Natasha, “your brother was surprised to hear your question.” Lightly while chuckling.

“There is something wrong with my question?” Ask Natasha again.

“No, but you are still not old enough to date.” Answer Daniel.

“So when am I old enough?” Natasha Whine.

“Tell me who's the guy who made my Tasyaku ask that?” Search Daniel.

Natasha could only smile shyly at Daniel's question, she immediately immersed herself in his brother's arms. While Daniel chuckled at the behavior of his sister.

On the balcony of the east side of the mansion, James was sitting daydreaming enjoying the night air of London. His mind wandered far into his childhood, a dark time, a pleasant time, a time when he was still so close to Natasha. But of all times it was only one time that made him feel empty until now. A time when he wakes up in the hospital realizing that Bella's mother has been buried, long before he wakes up and Natasha disappears for so long.

No one told him where Romanov took Tasya. No one said a shred of information what Tasya was doing in a foreign place. All he knew was that Romannov deliberately hid Tasya, so that no one else would try to harm his sister.

He patiently awaited the day Romanov promised him. The day he was able to see Tasya again after all the time he had spent listening only to stories from his father. But when the expected day arrives, a bitter reality must be felt. The fact that until now still looms over him, makes half of his heart hurt.

“Here apparently.” Breath Daniel.

James turned to Daniel with a face full of question marks, “what's the matter?”

“Nothing, just worrying to my two sisters who until now have not been able to be close as before.” Said Daniel.

“We are fine.” Denying James.

“Yeah, you guys are fine.” Murmured Daniel, “Awhile I'll move to New Castle. The construction of the company there is almost complete. You know I can't possibly take Natasha, right?”

“So?” James looked at Daniel.

“Natasha needs a lot of attention James, I hope you can count on to take care of her.” Said Daniel.

“I will take good care of it.” James.

“Tasya expects the old you, James.” Daniel said with emphasis.

Daniel took a deep breath, “ I expected. I won't force you to be with him. I've thought of other ways.” He said as he left.

James rubbed his face rough. He did not want to part with Natasha but also hesitated to live with his adopted sister. Will he be able to hold back if he lives alone with Natasha, while all this time he tries to refrain from showing real feelings to Natasha?

The campus was filled with students when Natasha got out of the car that specifically drove her away. Daniel did prepare a private driver for her even though James was attending the same school, they were never seen leaving or going home together. No one knows the fraternal relationship between Natasha and James on this campus.

As usual, Regina immediately welcomed Natasha's arrival as soon as they met in the corridor. The girl told Natasha a lot. For Natasha it's common, they are indeed quite familiar and maybe the only friend Natasha is familiar with is the girl because the others only talk if there is a need with her. Thanks to Regina too, Natasha can cover her young age with the appearance that her friend taught her.

“You know? Ivan often asks you.” Regina said as they were picking up some books in the locker.

“What does he ask?” Ask Natasha wonder.

“Everything baby. I think he likes you.” Regina is enthusiastic.

“But isn't he close to you?” Natasha did not understand.

“Yes, he just wants to know you, Nat. That's why he approached me.” Bright Regina, “so what do you think?”

Natasha seemed to think for a moment, she remembered Daniel's words yesterday when forbidding him from connecting with men because he was not old enough. “Now, I'm not sure.”

“You think too much.” Regina said.

Natasha only responded with an oddity, she immediately picked up her book which had been delayed due to the talk about Ivan.

“Excuse me.” Sela a man.

Natasha shifted her body so as not to prevent the man from picking up the book in the locker next to her. He continued to notice the movements of the man who looked very indifferent, even as they exchanged glances. The man only noticed her at a glance with a cold face before leaving the place.

“What do you see?” Regina asked curiously following the direction of Natasha's gaze who was still watching the man just now. “Forget it, he's a weird guy. Better get away from that guy.” Regina said after finding out who Natasha was observing.

“Who is he? Are we classmate?” Ask Natasha.

“Yes, he always sits in the back. Excommunicating yourself.” Answer Regina.

“Really? I never saw him.” Natasha said astonished.

“Already, not important. Let's get to class.” Take Regina.

They walked down the main corridor to their class. From a distance Natasha accidentally sees James walking with his friends from the opposite direction to him. His brother was an idol on campus so it was natural that James had many friends, unlike him who had a little difficulty adjusting to the people around him.

As usual, James never thought Natasha existed when they passed each other. The man chose to pretend not to know him let alone the girls walking around the man. Natasha could only swallow her disappointment round and round every time it happened and let it all just wind up.

Arriving in class, Natasha and Regina sit on their favorite bench. While waiting for the lecturer who will teach, they again exchange stories until unconsciously the person they were talking about walked up to them.

“Good morning.” Sapa Ivan with a charming bright smile.

“Pagi.” Regina was enthusiastic while Natasha smiled at the man.

Ivan immediately took a seat beside Natasha, just as the man had done lately. The three of them also joked together while waiting for the lecturer.

For Natasha only Regina and Ivan who make it comfortable on campus nothing else even James though. As they were joking around, Natasha accidentally saw the man she met in the locker sitting in the back row. The man just sat alone as if reluctant to interact with the others. But it also made Natasha interested and curious about the man. And once upon a time their gazes met. Natasha gave a small smile to the man but the next thing she did not expect was that the man immediately stepped out of his seat, walked out of class and never returned until the lesson was over.
