Chp. 5 Geniuses or Monsters.
"Evans Mallory?!"
Jeff doesn't believe in his own hearing. He doubted that the 15-year-old would follow the same training as him.
Moreover, Instructor Henri also like exaggerating the story.
How can a short-bodied boy, save incredible strength by circling the field 2 times the amount, let alone doing it while carrying a load of 30 kg with him.
Very unreasonable for him, Captain Jeff himself did 12 rounds and it managed to make him exhausted, while Evans has done 24 rounds (plus punishment from Eric).
Instructor Henri then did not explain it further, he was sure if Jeff would not believe if he did not see it directly.
That night Henri's mood pleased him many times to laugh and dissolve in his own imagination, "Let's see, to what extent you two are able to..."
**
That morning they carried out the apple just like the day before, the difference in the number of prospective players was now reduced a lot.
They are free to choose to leave or continue their training, but those who stay for ten days will be rewarded with exclusive rights to their efforts.
Evans breathed a sigh of relief unable to find his best friend. The choice Eric made was right according to him.
With Eric's body and physique right now, he would be hard-pressed to take up training even at risk of sustaining a non-light injury.
Everyone was then surprised to get a day off and the training they would undergo became lighter (according to the training standards of the previous prospective players).
For an entire day, players would get guidance from Prof. Rise. Suddenly disappointed faces were seen within them.
'What the fuck is this, where's the break?' everyone's inner.
The group with tangled faces immediately entered the study room to meet Rise.
And without them realizing two people had disappeared from the entourage.
There they get a guidebook on all the things inside the island. Ten piles of package books were now on their tables. Not yet ended their suffering, they had to memorize the ten books because they would be given a test at night.
Evans and Jeff, now they're the only two on the pitch. They conducted a training session made directly by Henri.
In the afternoon, Evans and Jeff are both in the study room with the others. They were briefly the center of attention, but it was only for a moment that they had to memorize the book so as not to get punished again.
Because it has become his daily part, Captain Jeff became the most in the test. He mastered 6 books even though he arrived in the afternoon.
While most of the prospective players only master 1 to 4 books, even though they were there for a day. Seeing that, they just cursed in his heart.
On the contrary, Henri did not think that Evans was only able to understand 2 books.
"What do you say Mr. Instructor. It was commonplace if he was only able to understand 2 books. You did the training with him, didn't you?"
"If so what about Jeff?"
"Jeff is a special case sir. How can a fool be a member of even the captain of Kopassus?
In contrast Evans is just a normal teenager, even including smart because he is able to master 2 books with such a short time."
In their minds, Henri sees Jeff as a normal person rather than Evans, as well as Rise who views Evans as more normal.
"Rise, I've said many times that she's not a normal human being. Keep an eye on Him, if He is not able to understand more than 5 books then you should quickly write a letter of resignation."
Rise only raises one of her eyebrows in disbelief, judging from where Evans is just an ordinary 15-year-old boy.
**
A few days later a glowing face appeared on Rise. He who seemed to be preparing to write a letter, surprised by the development of Evans.
Evans has now been able to understand 5 books on their third day there. Not only that, Jeff himself was also shocked by Evans' development.
In physical training, Evans had always been far behind Jeff. And now he can catch up on half the training Jeff did.
Rise and Jeff soon come to terms with the mad Instructor's intentions, and assume Evans is a genius.
Hearing the two extraordinary news even made Henri increasingly so, he was very furious and wondered what the boy really thought.
"Sad, there's no other way." Henri Gumam.
The three of them were now in the field, Henri threw a pair of gloves at the two.
"Exercise We'll go up a level. You're gonna do a battle or a duel or whatever it's called."
The duel Henri was referring to was a one-on-one fight. Each issued his martial arts and considered the dueling partner as an enemy, ordinary duels ended with the injured parties or the losing side will get minor injuries.
These exercises are often conducted in the military, usually once a month or depending on the Instructor of each.
How can a Kopassus Captain who has various experiences of killing and fighting, now fight an amateur let alone a 15-year-old boy.
Considered Jeff's protest as non-compliance, Instructor Henri added punishment to them for dueling with a 5 kg bag.
Jeff still remained tight-lipped and denied it, eventually they ended up carrying a bag weighing 30 kg.
Seeing that Jeff just stared at the ground below him.
Evans couldn't possibly say, 'Thank you for the help, now we're carrying more weight' It's only going to make Evans worse.
So that he just remains calm and looks relaxed, while putting a bag on his back.
"You don't worry Ev. I'll end it quickly and painlessly."
During these three days they became closer and Jeff may have already considered him a friend. Seeing that Evans just smiled faintly. Evans feels the same way as Jeff.
"You're Bang Jeff, maybe you'll lose today." Evans raises one of his hands to Jeff.
Jeff smiled at her, determined to end this with one move and make Evans faint.
With one word from Henri they both moved forward. Jeff was surprised to see Evans also come forward, they exchanged brief blows.
Jeff smiled seeing that some of the blows from him could be brushed off and avoided by Evans, instead Evans managed to land his punch in Jeff's stomach, even though Jeff only felt itchy there.
They continued to exchange attacks, none of them succumbing. Even though every attack was nothing dangerous at all. Jeff then believes that Evans is very talented proof Evans can survive long enough against him.
With a single breath Jeff slammed forward, he quickly dodged the blow coming from Evans and launched a sword attack right at the back of Evans' neck.
Jeff decides to end the fight with a single strike and leaves Evans to fall to the ground.
"What the fuck are you doing-!"
Jeff was surprised by the voice and looked at the person beside him.
Henri looked furious and furious with his teeth grinding.
Jeff had expected to get punishment from Instructor Henri for not being able to withstand his strength, but Jeff himself believed he had withheld more than half of his abilities. He just felt guilty and lowered his head.
Henri immediately went to their place, and did the thing that made everyone see him, nodding in agreement if Henri had lost his mind.
Henri continuously yelled at the person below him, others could even tell if Henri was now talking to the ground.
"If you still do, then I'll revoke the exclusive rights you've earned."
Jeff raised his eyebrows like he was staring at someone he had never known before. How can he deprive anyone of the right to the desperate effort he is doing here, Jeff's mind.
Seeing no response, Henri simply turned around and intended to leave. Just two steps later he stopped and made his last attempt, "I'll give you two exclusive rights..."
Jeff's eyes immediately widened in disbelief at what he was now seeing. Jeff was stunned with his mouth wide open. Unlike Henri, he now feels exactly the same feeling as when he first saw Evans.
Henri immediately turned his spirit upside down and saw a short man with dark blue eyes standing by coldly staring at everyone.
Henri's whole body seemed to tremble withstanding his joy, there was nothing he could express now.
In their vision, Evans' half-body was black, standing upright and the air stopped around them.
But what was striking about all of that was his dark blue eyes. Henri immediately regained his senses and told Jeff to do a second round duel.
Jeff was still confused by what had just happened. He could think no more and was hypnotized by Henri's words. He stepped up and put up a horse, the thing he did not do in their first duel.
With one more shout from Henri, the match officially began.
Jeff stepped very carefully toward Evans, who was still calmly looking at him. Jeff lifted one leg and pointed it right at Evans' stomach.
Evans remained calm, he only retreated a few inches back and saw the kick, which stopped exactly a few inches near his stomach. Only smoke is now reaching Evan's stomach.
Jeff wrinkled his face and immediately pulled back himself a few steps away from Evans. Evans' dark blue gaze troubled him deeply, before he could reassemble his horses.
Evans quickly arrived in front of him, this showed that his speed was still not out completely in the first round. The exact same kick Jeff had shown him.
Jeff jumped backwards trying to dodge, felt he was very far from Evans' feet.
Jeff's pupils twitched themselves confident that the exact same kick mimicking his movements would never have stuck in his stomach, but why.
Why the kick followed him backwards, Jeff could not dodge and fell backward with a kick Evans.
Evans did make the exact same move as the captain of the kopassus showed, but with the addition when Jeff jumped Evans also followed him jump.
Evans looked like he was flying, and kicking him down pierced the captain's stomach.
Jeff grimaced in pain on the ground. In his mind he felt that other than speed, Evans' strength had also changed.
"Use all your strength Bang..." Evans said it with a cold face, but it wasn't that that that surprised everyone.
They were surprised by Evans' change of voice, a voice that had sounded flat without pause and without intonation. It turned cold and scary.
