The Legends: The Tale of Immortality
Chapter 72: The Identity of Wei Lan

Yu Feng narrowed his eyes when he saw the black flames that contained high-level darkness energy. His already agitated vampire bloodline, was increasingly pulsating as a dense aura of darkness surrounded him. The savage beast within him again growled under the influence of the dark energy which served as a luxurious invitation to the monster within him.

He silently cursed his misfortune and circulated his spiritual energy throughout his body to ease his vampiric uneasiness.

The black flames devoured Yu Feng's front road and made the young man only have a retreating route while Li Qing Feng was precisely not far behind him.

Li Qing Feng who had lost her composure had been held back by two of Yu Feng's comrades, but due to the anger that had still not subsided, the young man used his enemy to become his blazing flame-retardant.

Broadly speaking Li Qing Xia and Li Qing Feng both had this kind of wild nature that liked to bring out their unhappiness to others as their free punching sacks.

Looking at the black flames that were increasingly spreading, both of Yu Feng's pistols disappeared from both of his hands and the young man made use of the flames that had this free target and immediately made a certain hand seal.

Under the effect of Yu Feng's ten-finger quick movements and the spell he muttered without a sound, a circle of symbols full of aura formed in the air. Yu Feng made a final move and pushed his spiritual energy in large quantities at once onto the rune.

The rune circle shone with a white light before a powerful whirlpool of wind formed from the rune circle and devoured the surrounding black flames like a starving blackhole hole.

As the black flames were absorbed, Yu Feng flew towards Li Qing Xia quickly while directing the wind blades towards the girl. Li Qing Xia who lost her favorite whip opened her ten fingers that were growing sharp claws and moved to face Yu Feng.

While the fight below seemed messy, the three figures who were in the air also did not stay silent. Luo Hong who from the beginning already had the intention to kill Wei Lan now let out his ferocity. Luo Hao no longer showed an insane appearance, this time he supported Luo Hong and paved the way for his friend to shoot down Wei Lan.

Wei Lan who looked extremely strong, actually could not compare to Luo Hong and Luo Hao. He could sense that the strength of these two members of the Luo clan was far above him. The reason greeting him could still stand upright was obvious because these two people did not attack seriously. Luo Hong did not hide his killing intent. The blond-haired elf youth who signified his status as the close family of the current Luo clan head had never had a hobby of playing around with his enemy.

This person was famous for his ferocious and merciless personality. Moreover, this feminine-looking Luo Hao was actually not easy to deal with either. He had the ability to break through Wei Lan's attacks to his last defense and instantly kill him, but this fellow did not. You could say that since then Luo Hao seemed to be very relaxed facing Wei Lan like he was playing with his pet.

Luo Hong and Luo Hao's combination was obviously not suitable to be paired together in the task of killing him. He did not know what exactly the two people who claimed to want to deal with him were doing. Luo Hong was too flaccid. Clearly this fellow could kill him with a single blow, what made him delay this far?

Wei Lan's suspicions grew even more when this seemingly normal Luo Hao had returned to play. Luo Hao acted as if he was really only as capable as this, whereas Wei Lan was convinced that the young man was hiding his superiority.

The three shadows continued to collide in the air and create a dazzling light effect as the three figures charged towards each other. Not long after the three exchanged dozens of punches, Luo Hao's countenance began to look pale, yet even so the young man's actions did not stagnate. No one knew that Luo Hao was starting to degenerate, except for Wei Lan and Luo Hong whose positions were closest to him.

Wei Lan's eyes glanced at Luo Hao's ice-covered arm. From the very beginning this preventive solution could obviously be bad for Luo Hao. Now that the effects had begun to be felt, Luo Hao's physical condition had begun to decline.

Wei Lan's eyes sharpened as she looked at the gap made by her enemy. Without hesitation Wei Lan directly attacked the opportunity. The young man who was originally moving like a shadow suddenly disappeared from his place and appeared behind Luo Hao. Wei Lan stretched out her hand clutching Luo Hao's shoulder whose arm had been torn off and muttered a series of foreign languages quickly before a tendril suddenly formed on Luo Hao's shoulder.

Seeing Wei Lan's smile, a bad premonition erupted within Luo Hao's heart. In the next second, the tiny tendrils growing on Luo Hao's shoulder suddenly expanded rapidly and wildly.

"Ugh..!"

Luo Hao gritted his teeth with a hiss that he involuntarily let out due to the pain that bit his entire body. The tendrils grew at an astonishing speed, under the gazes of the spectators and it only took no more than five seconds before Luo Hao was completely surrounded by the tendrils of plants born from his shoulders.

The sight immediately made the members of the elf clan of all levels and ages watching the match boil over. The tendrils of plants do not contain the high energy of natural life that the famous elves are supposed to create closest to their nature. Instead the tendril of the plant carried a hint of a dark aura that made its shape grow slightly ugly and carried a dry color in each of its tendrils.

Just that sight was enough to tell some people about Wei Lan's identity. He was a blood taboo and the ridiculous thing was the famous blood taboo most hated by the elves, the ones that should have been impossible to survive to this size and set their foot out of the elf territory, turned out to be able to defeat an elf from the Luo clan.

Wei Lan smiled, she could of course feel gazes from all directions wanting to pounce on him to death. From the very beginning of the match, Luo Hong had always shown her hatred towards Wei Lan that even the blind would feel and mentioned the matter of disgrace.

Yet as hateful as Luo Hong was, he never detailed why Wei Lan was called a disgrace. It was thought that the young man might not want to let others know of the matter of his clan. Only when Wei Lan used the darkness energy that should have been impossible to appear in the body of an elf famous for their life energy did everyone present finally understand the reason for Luo Hong's hatred.

It turned out that Wei Lan was a blood taboo.

Just deserve.

The tendrils of the plant scattered further until it finally moved ferociously to crush the ice covering Wei Lan's arm. The wound that had been gaping from the beginning with a terrifying hole, was now compounded again with the shards of ice piercing the flesh.

Both of Wei Lan's dark green pupils flashed with victory and a sense of pride that was not at all hidden. If everything goes according to what he thought, then...

"Huh... Ughhhh..."

Luo Hao who froze like a statue after being licked by the tendrils of plants that spread all over his body, began to show signs. The young man's body moved stiffly as if trying to stretch amidst the tendril meshes tightly binding him. The pair of eyes twitched and looked at the red liquid that stained the moving tendril like a living tentacle.

"Hiss.. dirty..."

Wei Kan's expression lit up.

It seems like everything is going well...
