Chapter 1: The Simple Family

The sunlight slowly entered through the gaps of the room curtains, a 17-year-old teenage man tried to cover his face when he felt a burning hot sensation on his cheeks.

The chirping of the bird began to sound like a melodic rhythm, the dark-looking room slowly began to show a hint of color, and the man pulled his blanket so that his body was blocked from the light.

The sound of a motorbike passing slowly sounded from his room, indicating that people had departed to do their respective activities in that day.

But what the man in the bed wanted to do now, was to continue his dream, trying to pretend not to realize that the day had turned into tomorrow.

The teenage boy is Dian, a 17-year-old high school student who is currently facing a year-end exam for her class.

At that moment, Dian felt as if she had been dreaming for a very long time.

In his dream, he was accepted to the best University in his region and received praise from his parents.

In his dream, he got good grades in all subjects and got appreciation from his teachers and friends.

In his dream, the woman he liked came to him and expressed feelings for him, with an expression of his smile that was as bright as the sun and dazzling.

In dreams....

As if not allowing, a knock came just as Dian was about to continue her beautiful dream, a voice she wanted to curse so as not to disturb her every day.

Of course, it was the sound of a knock coming from his beloved sister, his only and most cherished sister in his entire life.

"Sister! comeup! it's 07:00!" A voice came from outside the door.

Trying to ignore that voice, Dian could not. Not because he can't, is he. However what would happen if Dian ignored her, she did not want to imagine it.

"Yes-yes, I'm out!" Reply Dian.

Trying to fight his laziness and desire to put his body back on the bed, Dian stood up from his bed and rubbed his eyes until reddened.

With her eyes only half open, Dian walked up to open her closet and took out her uniform hangers for her to wear later, nor did she forget to pick up the perfume, the clock, and all for him to wear.

The room is quite small, and therefore Dian is quite easy to take the things he needs.

He has memorized all the places where the goods are stored, no. More precisely his brain has been set automatically to take its place every day.

Opening the door of her room and yawning as a sign that she was sleepy, Dian walked towards the first floor where the fragrant smell of cooking fragrance went straight into her nose.

That's because the kitchen and dining room in his house were made one and located just below the stairs, his house can be fairly small and every room is easily accessible from his room.

The constant rhythmic sound of the blade tapping on the wooden triplet made his drowsiness slightly disappear. Her mother was cutting vegetables to make soup for her husband at the office later.

"For your brother, as usual, your face looks like a dead fish when you wake up." Ledek.

Her sister, named Mira. He is only 2 years of dispute from his brother.he is currently in the 10th grade of High School and attended the same High School as the current Dian school.

Actually, his sister did not intend to attend the same High School as her brother, but because she was late to enroll in the High School that she wanted, he said, inevitably his sister had to apply to his sister's High School which is located not far from his home.

"Morning too, ugh....What smell is this? Mira, it looks like you have to take a bath again." Reply Dian.

"Huh?! what do you mean?!" Mira's upset.

"You two, don't fight in the morning okay? Dian, take a quick shower and have breakfast so it's not too late." Said Dian's Mother.

"Good buuu...." Dian answered to her mother.

Behind the wall, there is a small bathroom used by all family members to take a bath. It was only filled with 1 toilet, 1 shower, and a clothes hanger located behind the door.

Just in front of the bathroom, there is a sink and mirror used to brush your teeth or dress up.

Because of the size of the sink is quite small, makeup tools and others can not be stored on it. Just a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a glass to wash your mouth.

Therefore if Mira or her mother wants to dress up, they have to take the makeup tools in their room first and return them afterwards, which makes it quite a hassle.

After picking up the towel her mother had prepared on the dining table chair, Dian walked towards the sink and started brushing her teeth first.

After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Dian went straight to her bathroom and turned on the shower.

The bath time needed by Dian was not more than 5 minutes, he only needed to cover his entire body with soap and shampoo, then rinse it quickly. Unlike his sister who ate less than 10 minutes.

After finishing her bath and wearing her school uniform, Dian returned to the dining room and took a seat next to her sister.

The total seats in the dining room were 4, two for her father and mother, and two more for Dian and her sister.

Her mother, who saw her two children at the dinner table, gave her a set of breakfast toast wrapped in honey jam and half-cooked cow's eyes.

He also gives cow's milk so that the calcium needs of his children are fulfilled, and a bottle of honey jam if his son wants to add jam.

Although the breakfast Dian and Mira received was more or less the same every day, they never complained about it. In fact, they are grateful that they can still have a good breakfast.

His family can not be said to be rich or lacking.Simple is the right sentence to describe the condition of the Dian family.

Her mother worked as a housewife and sometimes sewed clothes, while her father worked as a police officer.

His father often got overtime work every day, which made him sometimes not follow breakfast because he was still asleep. Even so, Dian and Mira did not blame him at all.

After finishing breakfast and washing their dishes, Dian and Mira went to the doorstep to put on their shoes.

Not forgetting to say goodbye to their mother, Dian then waited for Mira to finish with her shoes because she left together with him.

That's because Mira is currently in the same High School as her. And because the distance from the school to her house is quite close, Dian does not need to use any vehicles and just walk with her sister.

His family only had 1 motorbike, and the motorbike was used by his father to work every day.

If his mother wants to shop, his mother often wakes up early to be able to use the motorbike if she wants to go to the market. But if only for regular shopping, his mother is enough to walk a few meters to the department store which is not far from home.

Sometimes when her mother is busy, Dian often replaces her for shopping. And if there is any rest or change when shopping, Dian is welcome to use or save money if he wants.

At the moment, though not enough. Dian already has savings in his account, he collects it from setting aside pocket money and groceries every month for him to use in the future.

Whether it's to sign up for college or buy a motorbike, Dian will definitely use the money for something she needs. Not to waste on junk or useless things, no. But for something that helps him or his family later.

"Then Ma'am, Dian and Mira go first Ma'am." Salim Dian's

"Mira's leaving, ma'am!" Salim Mira's.

"Yes, be careful on the road. The spirit of the test is brother." Say Mother.

"Of course Mom!" Reply Dian .

After saying goodbye to her mother, Mira and Dian left for school.
