CHAPTER 30: Missing the Father

The air of Viterbo was so hot that Moanna put her snelli in her left hand after she finished dealing with a child with food poisoning. He constantly moved his hand to produce wind to cool his neck.

Walking through the cafeteria made Moanna not miss the opportunity to stop by and drink water from the refrigerator. "Well..." Moanna said after the thirst in her throat subsided.

"Which is it?" Said a man who was about to take a cold drink to make Moanna surprised. "Doctor Leo, you surprised me!" Enraged Moanna hit the man's shoulder softly.

"Just like you're surprised" the man choked after he finished gulping half of his drink.

Moanna pursed her lips and turned and walked away from Leo. "How was your day?" Ask Leo.

Moanna. There's no way he's telling the guy that he started the day with bad luck. "Fun as always." Moanna answered with both eyebrows raised together.

"I heard you got in trouble" Leo chirped to make Moanna immediately stop her steps. Did Leo know what happened this morning?not likely.

"What do you mean?" Moanna asked nervously.

"The thing is you're about to take a leave of absence, does director Felix allow it?" Said the man.

Moanna exhaled violently and shook her head, "I even promised my family I'd spend the summer together." Moanna said sadly. He was confused what to say when he went home later to his mother about a vacation plan that would fail because he was difficult to get leave.

Working as a doctor may be everyone's dream because the salary received is quite fantastic. But behind all that there is a very unpleasant thing, which is the lack of time with family.

"I understand how you feel" cried Leo trying to comfort the grieving Moanna.

The loud sound of the phone makes the two people who are walking together then stop and check their respective phones. "That's yours" Leo said after he felt the body that turned out to be no rectangular object.

"Mama..." Moanna Mumbled. "What's up, mah?" Moanna asked when her phone was put in her earlobe.

"Can you go home now?" Asked the old woman who was holding a small object in her hand.

"No way, there's still a lot of things I need to do." Moanna. "What's wrong?"

"It's okay, if your work is done, go home!" The woman's message and call ended.

"What's wrong?" Leo asked after Moanna came back to him.

"Come on, my mama told me to go home soon." Moanna.

"It looks like a family affair, huh?" Guess Leo with a smile.

"Maybe, I know less too." Moanna shrugged her shoulders and resumed their journey.

While at the mansion located on Lake Bolsena, the four heads of each family are still at odds asking Alvin's decision as Signore to support the drug business started by the Benvolio family.

^^^"I don't know who this woman is, but why is she in her house?" Ask one of the scouts— the sender of the message that is around the house Moanna.^^^

^^^"Let it be, she's the mother of the woman who owns the house." Answer Alvin.^^^

The pounding of the legs stopped a few meters behind Alvin who was sitting back at the entrance. "All the heads of the families are gone" Kenzo said, telling him that everyone had left the mansion.

"Good, tell everyone I want to be alone! Don't see me until tomorrow morning!" Firmly Alvin then walked towards the room he likes best— namely the bedroom.

Kenzo nodded in understanding of his old intentions. He then went to tell the elders of the housekeeper to convey it to each officer.

"Ettore!" Call Kenzo. "Tell everyone that Alvin shouldn't be bullied until tomorrow morning!" He ordered the man, who was about half a century old.

"Ready, kenz." Ettore also went to the place where the employees gathered, which is a side house that is devoted as a place for them.

The bell rang when Ettore hit him until all the employees were now lined up neatly in the room without a sound. Ettore opened his mouth and said, "Today don't see Mr. Alvin until tomorrow morning! Even if it was just to feed him, there was no need!"Ettore.

"Yes, sir!" Excite all compact employees.

Ettore left the room without a word. "It seems we're a little relaxed this heart." Said one of the men.

"It seems so, Mr. Alvin will be in the room in the next few hours. So we can relax a little, " cried his partner.

While the Signore had just arrived to her room. Remove all her clothes and then go into the bathroom to give sweat that has been attached to her skin. It did not take long for a man to bathe, now Alvin was dressed casually and immediately laid his body on the mattress.

"Huh..." Alvin took a slow breath. "What were your days so depressed, dad?" Mumbled. He hoped that there would be a voice that would give him an answer as well as calmness simultaneously.

"Is the mother where you complain?" ask her again while staring at the ceiling of her room. "It looks like I miss you, Dad." said Alvin

the questions passed in Alvin's brain until finally the man was exhausted and then fell asleep because he could not find the answer he was looking for.

It was late and his job was done. After cleaning her room, Moanna rushed out of the hospital and immediately went home to see her mother.

Driving the car her father bought before she died, Moanna opened her car dashboard to see a small frame containing Poto herself and her father while on vacation at the beach.

"I miss you, dad." Lirih. "Tomorrow we meet at noon, "he continued telling the father that he will visit the tomb.

Moanna put the frame back down and started to start the engine of her car and immediately put it forward.

The distance from the hospital to his home is not so far because he deliberately chose to live in the same place where he worked. Moanna opened the door of her house which was as dark as the world outside at this moment.

Thinking that her mother had slept, Moanna chose to walk to her room to take a bath and then sleep. The next day he asked his mother what had happened.
