TMB CHAPTER 53 - Enlightenment

Jesa wasn't stupid for sure Ethel's goal now is to register a marriage without asking him first.

"Why do you always do unexpected things like this?" ask Jesa who had previously attracted Ethel to talk to each other. He is not feeling well with Hansel and Gretel who are likely to be made witnesses of their marriage.

"Because you're always trying to break up our relationship" Ethel replied.

"Our relationship? What is our relationship like? It wouldn't be like this if you didn't feel like a victim" Jesa said.

"So you've been feeling innocent all this time after desecrating me?" ethel asked inexhaustibly.

This is the thing that most pissed off Jesa half dead, Ethel was always like that. As Jesa explains, the man is always manipulative.

"I won't give up my life with someone like you!" Jesa said with great emphasis so that this time Ethel understood.

Honestly hearing that line coming out of Jesa's mouth made Ethel go straight down. Ethel felt that being a man was inappropriate for marrying a woman.

"Your words are painful but I still want to marry you because you're the goddess of good luck who will give me Mochi" said Ethel, who held tightness in her chest.

Ethel kept registering their marriage, in the mind of Ethel who was important legitimate first. And he had to be Jesa's guardian because he knew she was an orphan.

However, unexpected things happen when Jesa just put the signature on the wedding document.

"Grandfather, I agreed to marry the future husband that grandfather chose," said Jesa deliberately call the grandfather in front of Ethel.

Jessa prefers her grandfather's chosen husband-to-be rather than having to marry Ethel which makes her go crazy.

"You better introspect yourself, I'll go back to the apartment and get my things. From now on, we don't know each other anymore!" jesa. He doesn't want to follow Ethel's game anymore.

Hansel and Gretel looked at the drama in front of them with puzzled faces. They witness a marriage made between laughing or pity with Ethel.

"We better take Ethel away" said Hansel, who was embarrassed to be the center of attention.

"Yes, you're right, my husband!" Gretel walks up to her brother and pulls Ethel's hand to take him away. "Come Ethel. You seek another goddess of luck!"

"Can't, Gree. Only Jesa can make Mochi for me!" reject Ethel who still wants to persuade Jesa there.

The more Jesa shook his head at Ethel's behavior, the more confident he became of the steps he took. Without wanting to prolong the drama again, Jesa finally left the civil registry office.

And Ethel was getting crushed as if the universe was playing tricks on him.

"Gree..." Ethel hugged his sister. "You see with your own eyes, don't you? Jesa doesn't want to take responsibility, my future is ruined!"

Gretel gave a rude snort, maybe she would have done the same if she had been in the position of Jesa.

"No woman wants to give up her life for granted, let alone you don't ask for it well" Gretel said.

Ethel immediately got enlightenment for hearing the advice of his brother. "I'm gonna have daddy buy Jesa like daddy buy Hansel. Daddy must be happy to buy another son-in-law!"
