You're gonna die this year
Construction accident
Fires
Hit-and-run
Ethel immediately shouted because he returned to having nightmares. The man turned his head towards the empty side, normally there was Jesa there.
"My goddess, why are you leaving?" Ethel is sad.
"Construction accident, fire, I've had it before,"
"Now it's a hit-and-run,"
Ethel is getting paranoid and can't close his eyes anymore. "Do I have to make a will for my parents and Gretel?"
"But they would be happy if I wasn't in this world anymore,"
"I'm just a family burden plus I'm not a virgin anymore,"
Ethel was so dramatic that he remembered Mochi. Shouldn't have had to wear safety that time Mochi wouldn't have failed production.
"I am useless!"
With a flurry of steps, Ethel came out of his room. He was very hungry and thirsty because he had not eaten in the afternoon.
However, as he headed for the kitchen his attention was fixed on his sofa where there was a pair of humans sleeping there. Hansel and Gretel slept there hugging each other.
"You're showing off, yeah." Ethel tried to wake the two men up.
Hansel and Gretel wake up, sitting down and staring at Ethel.
"My husband, it's not a ghost, is it?" gretel asked as she rubbed her eyes.
"Seeing from his disheveled face it looks like he's real" Hansel said.
Ethel is inflamed, he could have been thought to be a ghost. "You better get out of my apartment!" banish him.
Without Gretel guessing, Ethel so put on a sad face again.
"So you've been thinking of me like that all along, Gree..." Ethel covered her face with one hand. "Did Jesa think that to me?"
"I think Jesa thinks you have a problem" Gretel answered honestly.
Ethel doesn't want to argue anymore, he's quite self-aware. He will try self-introspection by looking in the mirror and seeing the reflection of his shadow.
Then he pointed the small mirror at the base of his thigh.
"At least I have a pretty proud lightsaber" he said.
"I have to know what kind of man Jesa wants, I don't want to die from being a hit-and-run victim, that's so not cool!"
Ethel won't give up on getting her goddess of fortune back.
Ethel's daydreams were blown away from feeling someone sitting next to him. Who else if not Gretel.
"Just been rejected a few times, you've been like this. Look at me being rejected 16 times but I never give up fighting" Gretel said, trying to comfort his brother.
"It's different, Gree. It's a matter of my life and death" Ethel replied.
"So you don't love Jesa? You just want to make her a goddess of luck and a Mochi-printing machine?" gretel's cross.
Ethel instantly fell silent, he digested Gretel's question. Come to think of it is true and Ethel does not like it.
"Come to his grandfather and ask him carefully, if his grandfather refuses you, then me and daddy will help" said Gretel who asked Ethel to fight alone.
Ethel's spirit instantly flared, what his sister said was indeed true. He had to fight to the point of blood loss.
Rejected 100 times he would not give up easily.
"Jesa, my love...."
"Wait for me, I'll definitely pick you up!"
