Chapter 5

The request of her two children last afternoon at the restaurant made Tama unable to sleep. The request was too much for Tama. Ever since Kiara died, there was no intention in her heart to replace Kiara. Tama had closed the door of her heart to any woman. To her, she was the only woman she would love for a lifetime.

Tama walks towards the table and takes a photo of Kiara there. He stared at the photo.

"Kia, why did you leave me so soon? I miss you Kiara, I miss you." Tama hugged the picture of his late wife tightly.

"If you don't maintain your womb and want to undergo treatment, maybe you're still here with me" Tama murmured.

Tama does not regret the birth of her twin son. However, life without Kiara was hard for the man.

The door of the room opened, two figures of little angels who became the reason Tama could still live appeared behind the door. Tama put the photo back in her hand on the nightstand.

"Darling, aren't you asleep?"

"Pa, can we sleep here tonight?" ask Taki very carefully.

"Yes, Pa. We want to sleep with Papa" Maki added.

Tama smiled. He nodded then told his two sons to go up on the bed. Tama immediately followed, the man then lay between his twin sons.

"Pa," called Taki while looking up at his papa's face.

"Yes, honey."

"Was our request this afternoon too much for Papa?" ask Taki again.

"Yes, Pa. We also want to be like our friends who have mama. We want to play with mama, go to school with mama, and sleep with mama." Maki added on.

"Are you not going to do that anymore with papa?"

"It's not so, Pa. But, how happy it would be if we could do it all together with Papa and Mama." Taki explained.

"Pa, can't Papa fulfill our wishes?" ask Maki.

Tama is silent. He did not dare to agree, but he also did not want to disappoint his two sons.

"We want a mom like Mama Kinara. Whisper, Pa?" maki replied with sparkling eyes.

"Yes, Pa. We want Mama Kinara to be our Mom. Papa can grant our wish, right?" Taki also said the same thing with eyes filled with stars.

"But, Honey. Not necessarily right, Mama Kinara wants to be your mama?" tama.

The faces of the twins returned grim.

"Papa ever ask us, what gift do we want as our 5th birthday gift? And this time we asked Papa to give us a mama" Taki said.

"Yes, Pa. We want Papa to make Mama Kinara our real mama" Maki added.

"Darling, that's impossible. Forgive me for not being able to fulfill your wishes this time." Tama prefers to apologize instead of giving false hope to her twin son.

"But, why, Pa? One of our friends had a new mom. Isn't it to make Mama Kinara our mother, Papa just marry Mama Kinara? What's so hard?" Taki.

"Hey, where do you guys know about marriage?" Tama whistles her son's nose.

"I always see it on soap operas that Mbak Mirna watches."

"Yes, Pa. Papa is married to Mama Kinara and Mama Kinara is right to be our mother" explained Maki.

"Honey.... "

"Click yes, Pa. Pli!"

Taki and Maki folded both their hands in front of the chest.

Tama looked into the eyes of her two sons. From there he saw how much they wanted to make Kinara a mama.

"Bra, plis!" pinta Taki and Maki again.

Tama is silent. He did not want to give false hope to his two sons. However, he also could not resist the wishes of his two sons.
