Chapter 14 - Walking

The Athena POV On

I opened my eyes slowly. Rubbing my eyes while trying to understand where I am now. I pulled my arm to rest on my body, trying to sit on a rocky ground. I opened my eyes wider and saw what was around me. A meadow with tiny pink flowers in front of me. A breeze hit my face and blew the ends of my hair. Cool…  

A feeling of relax enveloped me, my heart felt light without the slightest burden. Then I saw someone suddenly appear from behind the grass, someone very handsome and dashing, and I recognized that face. The face of someone I love and miss. My brother, Zeus Anthony.

“Kakak... sister..,” I shouted loudly calling his name.

But Brother didn't seem to see me, he just stayed there. Was my voice not heard by him or was I too far away from him that Big Brother did not see me? I screamed back to his name. But he ducked down onto the grass, picked a pink flower and smelled it, smiling as if he liked the fragrant scent of the flower.

I tried to stand up and I managed to stand up. I stared at my feet, it felt light and not heavy at all. I move my legs to the right and to the left, then kick forward and backward. A feeling of joy and happiness immediately enveloped me. Today I met my sister and I was able to walk back.

“Thank you, God. Now I can run and see my brother. Brother, wait for me, I will come to you," I said impatiently to hug Brother.

But suddenly a bloody hand gripped the eye of my right foot, pulling me roughly back. I fell down, my knees hitting the rocky ground very hard.

“Sick...," pekikku hard. I turned my body quickly and continued to kick my right leg to release the grip of a wet and sticky brown-haired man's hand. His face was down. I can't recognize who that guy is.

“Let go... take off my legs," my chirping grew hysterical. The more frightened I was, the more the man grabbed my leg. I took a stone near my hand. I threw the stone at the man's head.

“Go... go...," I said more frustrated while continuing to stone. The big rock I threw hit the man's head. The man turned his face. A face full of blood, without eyes, nose and mouth.

“Aaahhhh..," I shouted out loud and woke up from my nightmare.

My bedroom door was open. Bi Marni and Mbak Puput tergopoh-gopoh into the room. Bi Marni sat on my bed, immediately hugged me and rubbed my head.

“Quiet, Non... quiet down.. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly," advised Bi Marni patiently. My heart was a little calmer because it was just a nightmare, not a reality. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as Bi Marni said.

Bi Marni let go of her embrace and rubbed my cheek gently. I smiled at him as thanks for calming me down. Then I turned my head, looking at the pale Fogger Maiden who was very worried. He twirled his fingers, watching me intently.

“Nona, you have nightmares again?” ask Puput worried.

I blinked my eyes, a sign confirming the question.

“Will Miss go to the doctor?" ask the Fog again.

Looks like I'll have to call the hospital and make an appointment for a consultation with Doctor Roy. Because since moving into this apartment a few days ago, I've been having nightmares, my inner being.

“After breakfast, I'll call the hospital," I said agreeing to Mbak Puput's proposal.

Bi Marni let go of her embrace, stood up from my bed then walked next to Sister Fog.

“Alright, now we have breakfast first, Miss," said Ma'am Puput and immediately took my wheelchair which was near my bed, arranging it to make it easier for me to sit in a wheelchair. Bi Marni moved forward towards me again to help me, but I raised my hand, refusing the help Bi Marni offered.

I pulled my blanket and shifted my right leg slowly down from the bed. My right leg immediately moved down from the bed followed by my left leg. Very light. I was a little surprised and shook my feet to the right and to the left and then lifted my knees, to test my feet if it was able to move. I gasped at him. My feet are moving as usual. My mind commanded what, this leg immediately moved following him.

“Nona...your feet are movable,” peekik Bi Marni and Mbak Puput happy.

I looked at them and smiled happily, very happily. Eventually the legs can move. My tears are dripping haru. Bi Marni and Mbak Puput immediately hugged me tightly, they also cried spilling all the happiness that was seeping in his heart.

“Thank God, Miss. Your feet are now moved. Come now try to stand up and walk, miss. But be careful, slow down first, miss," said the Fogged Sister, wiping away her tears, letting go of her arms and taking a few steps back to give me space when I wanted to walk.

I nodded slowly. Bi Marni also let go of her embrace but stayed by my side, keeping me so I wouldn't fall.

I put my feet on the floor and then raised my body slowly.

“Successful," I chuckled hard.

Puput clapped his hands and smiled widely. Bi Marni also smiled happily.

“Now try to step up, Miss. No need to hurry," said Bi Marni.

I moved my right foot forward to start my first step, and after that I managed to step a meter away from Bi Marni.

“Yiha... yes.. yes...yes...," shrieked Fatty Mbak pleased while banging his fist into the air.

Me and Bi Marni laughed out loud.

“Thank you, God. I was finally able to walk back, just like when I had a dream," I said happily, even though the dream had ended very badly.

“Come, we'll have breakfast soon, Miss," said Bi Marni immediately holding my right hand. Then the Frog walked quickly towards me and took my left hand.

Thank you, my nannies. I love you all.

Athena finished breakfast. Bi Marni and Mbak Puput were cleaning the dirty dishes on the dining table.

“I went back to the room first yes.want to call the hospital," my permission to leave the dining room.

“Yes, be careful, Miss. Do not run, just walk slowly," Bi Marni advised Athens.

Mbak Puput blinked one eye at me like he said “According to Bi Marni's advice, Miss.”

Athena immediately got up from the chair, tidied up her chair and headed to her room, picking up her phone on the nightstand. Contact the phone number of the hospital that is already on the phone book phone.

“Good morning, here Kasih Harapan Hospital, can I help you?" greetings phone receiver.

“Pagi. Can I make an appointment today with Doctor Roy?" ask Athena.

“Sorry once, Miss. Doctor Roy is still on leave now, and may return Monday next week. Will you make an appointment for Tuesday? Because the doctor's schedule for Monday is full" asked the recipient.

“Good. Tuesday at 10 in the morning?" ask Athena.

“Ok. Please specify the name, age of the patient, and mobile number that can be contacted, Miss.”

“Good, I've noted, Miss. I'll call you back on Monday to confirm your presence Tuesday. I'll see you next Tuesday at 10, Miss," said the recipient of the call.
