Chapter 2 - Witness

Athena wakes. The room around it is all white. And Athena knew right away, it wasn't her room just from the color of her bedroom walls.

Where the hell am I? inner Athena.

Athena tried to sit on the bed. The back of his head hurts. His butt is linu too. Athena then rubbed her back head, seemingly swollen.

And try to sit back...

Ah... He was so heavy that he lifted his body, his legs were also unable to move. He tried to shake his feet to the right and to the left. Not successfully.

Athena began to feel a strangeness in her legs. Why his feet won't follow his brain's orders.

Athena immediately lifted her blanket. Her legs are fine, wearing white pants with small pink flowers. Then he also saw an intravenous needle piercing the arm of his right hand.

Looks like I'm in the hospital. I have to meet with the doctor or nurse who is on guard at this hospital, Inner Athena.

He then searched for the emergency dial button and pressed the button after finding it.

Moments later doctors and nurses came to her room, but not only doctors and nurses came. They came with two other men. The middle-aged man wore glasses and wore all-black clothes in a black leather suit. And the other man was a young man, his face was quite handsome, cute, tall and clean-skinned, wearing clothes with lighter colors.

The doctor immediately examined Athena with a stethoscope and illuminated Athena's eyes with a small flashlight to look at Athena's pupils.

“Nona, is your head still dizzy? Do you hear a whizzing or noise?” ask the doctor again.

Athena shook her head.

“Good. Miss, can you name, your age and your surname?" ask the doctor seriously.

“My name is Athena, 20 years old, my parents are Mark Anthony and Cleopatra,” explained Athena.

But...why is there no sound coming out of his mouth?

The doctor patted Athena's back slowly.

The two men behind the doctor immediately sighed in annoyance and disappointment.

The doctor looked at the two of them.

The man wearing glasses then handed a laptop to the nurse. The nurse opened the side of the bed and pulled it into a table. Then put the laptop on the table, open it and press the power button on the laptop.

“They both are police from Z police. They came to ask for information on bad events at Miss's house. Actually I don't want them to interrupt Miss's rest, but since this matter is important and urgent, then I'll let them in here. But all back to Miss, if Miss objected, these two police fathers will wait for Miss until Miss is ready to give information,” explained Doctor.

Athena nodded.

All right, this can't be delayed anymore. I was the only one still alive in my room. So I am the only witness who can testify, the inner Athena.

The doctor and nurse then say goodbye and leave the room.

The bespectacled policeman pulled up a chair beside the bed, sitting quietly there. The young policeman stood up.

“Nona, can you write, what happened that night?” ask the police in glasses.

The laptop is on, Athena swiped her finger at the bottom of the laptop so that the arrow on the laptop screen goes into Microsoft word. Athena then started typing.

That night I was sleeping in my room. I woke up because my door was open. But it's dark, my sleeping lights won't turn on. A man came in and choked my neck. And said “Dead you”. Then I heard two shots.

“I wrote,” Athena said to the two policemen. But it seemed to be in vain, his voice remained inaudible.

The young policeman approached Athena and read what she had typed so that the bespectacled policeman could remain seated in his chair.

“How does Miss know he's a man if the room is dark?” ask the police in glasses again.

Athena immediately typed her answer.

The spectacled policeman nodded after hearing the reading from the young policeman.

“You did not see or recognize the voice of the person who strangled you?”

Athena shook her head. Then type again.

His voice was hoarse and rough. He was drunk too. The smell of alcohol is very strong.

The young policeman read back Athena's words.

“Then what happened after you heard the gunshot?” ask the police in glasses.

Athena typed again.

My head was dizzy from the whirring sound. When I woke up, it was morning and I saw that Hefasius and Zeus' brother were dead.

Athena's tears immediately flowed as soon as she typed Brother Zeus was dead.

The young policeman takes the tissue on the table and gives it to Athena. Athena took it and dried her tears.

Thank you for your concern, murmured Athena softly.

The young policeman nodded and sympathized with Athena.

“What about the gun in bed, Miss? Is it yours?”

Athena shook her head quickly. Then immediately type quickly.

I don't know how that gun got in my bed. I was so shocked it was there, until I fainted again.

The bespectacled policeman cleared his throat when the young policeman finished reading Athena's writing.

“So aren't you the killer of both of them?” ask the police in glasses again.

Athena was shocked to hear the question of the bespectacled police. Then the young policeman pointed at the laptop, asking Athena to write what she wanted to say. Athena immediately typed again.

Are you kidding me? I was being strangled back then, how could I shoot them? I've never had a gun in my life. I never killed them. I'M NOT A KILLER.

Then the young policeman read Athena again and smiled as if laughing at Athena who was upset because she was accused of being a murderer.

“Alright.. Just get here Miss. If I have any more questions, I will visit you" said the bespectacled policeman.

Athena nodded her head.

They took the laptop and left the room.

As soon as the two policemen came out, Athena immediately pressed the emergency call button again, wanting to call the nurse. Moments later the nurse arrived, Athena asked the nurse for a paper and pen by moving her hand like someone was writing. The nurse understood and immediately picked up the paper and pen inside the desk drawer in Athena's room.

Athena wrote on the paper “Please call my parents, have them come here. 081-2171-xxx and 081-7121-xxx.”

The nurse read it on paper.

“Nona, your mother is now in the operating room. Heart attack due to hearing bad news that has happened in your home. Your father was waiting for your mother in the operating waiting room. It looks like the operation is still going on and still doesn't know when it's finished" Nurse said.

Athena was shocked, so shocked to hear the bad news about Mama. Of course Papa and Mama were devastated, until Mama had a heart attack. Papa will always be near Mama, waiting for his soul mate to be operated on.

"Will Miss see your nanny? He's outside, Miss,” said the nurse.

Athena nodded her head quickly.

Bi Marni walked into Athena's room moments later.

“Nona... Nice to meet you, Miss,” Bi Marni holds Athena and cries with Athena.

It all spills over the grief and misfortune that happened last night in silence and many tears.
