Episode 3
William decides to speed up his path so he is not late to his workplace. A trip there does not take much time, only the equivalent of a 10-minute walk. Not so long William finally arrived in front of his workplace and saw some employees were trying to bring down the ornaments that were around the place.
He works in a long-standing restaurant, famous for its fine cuisine and cozy place. Today is the last day before the venue is temporarily suspended. The restaurant was closed temporarily not because of problems, because the tradition of 3 days before the turn of the month always closed temporarily .
William was able to work at the restaurant because his uncle had worked there as well and it was his uncle who gave him advice, after his mother left he replaced his uncle's job. He knew and was close to the people who worked there, from the old working there and the new. Someone suddenly spoke to him.
“Wah look who's back from his vacation.. How's your uncle doing there?"
“Hehe.. Good uncle news just fine.”
“So yes.. But why is it so long holiday.”
“I'm sorry.. My uncle asked me to stay there longer.. Besides I also have permission to uncle Willy, sister Lia wants a vacation too huh?”
Brother Lia is a senior and older brother to William, he worked there for quite a long time even from William was 13 years old. William respected and regarded himself as his own brother, he was never rude to him at all. Despite her beautiful and good looks, she is quite strict to anyone who makes trouble even Willy's uncle the owner of the restaurant though. He is one of the often petrified William can work well in the place, himself exposed to anger by Lia's brother at any time if made wrong.
“So sorry.I haven't had breakfast yet.so I'm going to the kitchen to get breakfast.. Hehehe.”
Brother Lia just nodded and she decided to go through the back road of the restaurant, she wanted to head to the kitchen and take some bread for her breakfast. He entered through the door and headed for the closet not so far from the entrance. When he was in front of the bakery and wanted to take a packet of bread, William met an old woman who had not seen him for a long time.
“You've come home son William.. How it travels.”
“Already grandma.. A little tired, but I'm fine.”
The grandmother was named Widia, she worked as a dishwasher there and she was one of the petrified people who took care of William as a child in the place. Widia's grandmother is very cheerful, meek and likes to help the workers there. She is nicknamed a holy woman for her kindness beyond anyone, Widia's grandmother lives in a working house located behind a restaurant that Willy's uncle provides to his employees.
Because Widia's grandmother is from a faraway place, so she can't go home all the time. Although only as a dishwasher, Widia's grandmother was very happy and appreciated her work. Many people like to help him to continue to live in the place, including William who often helps his work. Uncle Willy who offered a job at the restaurant when Widia's grandmother was confused looking for a job while at the job search hall.
“Oh yes grandma.. Where's Uncle Willy? I want to talk to him about something.. But I haven't seen him at all?”
“Oh.. Mr. Willy was out for a while.. Said there was a sudden affair, you better just wait in front.”
“Then I help grandma first while waiting for Uncle Willy to come back.. Today is also not my duty in front.”
William was very happy to be able to help Widia's grandmother's work, he helped wash dirty dishes and glasses after being used by workers who came first. They both tell each other about William's vacation trip and Widia's grandmother's daily life at work. It did not feel like time had gone by for a long time and arrived from behind with footsteps, someone patted William on the shoulder.
“See who this is coming home from vacation.. Until forget time.”
“Oh.. Uncle Willy.. Sorry maybe taking too long a vacation, I should just work on vacation.”.
“Hahaha.. You have struggled in school and at work.. Then what about your uncle and aunt?”
"They left a greeting to Willy's uncle, they told Willy's uncle to go there."
"Oh.. Then another time."
Uncle Willy had been friends with his uncle and aunt William for a long time, even when they were still studying at the same place. It was passion, hard work and passion that William first saw in his uncle Willy. Uncle Willy is also one of the people who keeps him at work even who cooks food for him.
He is in charge of the restaurant, although the restaurant looks small but he is very responsible and loves the restaurant.
“If you're done, please help the one in front.. They had trouble removing the decoration above the door.. That's not your forte.”
“Good uncle.. I'll be there soon.!!!”
He took it off carefully and slowly because it seems that the decoration has a high price, looks magnificent and beautiful decoration and is very in harmony with the theme of the restaurant. William lowered the decoration and asked the other servants to hold the decoration while he descended slowly down the stairs. William looked up to make sure there were no decorations left behind, when he looked around suddenly there was no one there at all.
“Where are you going? That feeling there are still many here?”
William looked around and it turned out that the officers were already inside the restaurant.
“Huhh.. I thought it would be like in a comic strip where everyone disappears and only I am left on this earth.”
William felt a strange feeling while bringing the stairs back inside and wanted to put the stairs back into the equipment place, while carrying the stairs he saw that everyone was focusing on the same spot where he could not see it at all. William ignored them and rushed to the back to put down the stairs he was carrying.
After returning the stairs to her place, she decided to go back to where the people had gathered and wanted to see what they saw.
“...congratulations on his graduation William..”.
“Ehhh...what is this.”.
“Because you're on vacation, we can't celebrate without you, so we're waiting for your return first.. Congratulations yes.”
“But why should be celebrated everything.”
“You want me to hit yaa..”
The feeling of pleasure and happiness that he felt and with a festive atmosphere made William confused to say a word, an unexpected surprise and can be done with many people at once to make himself amazed. He was unthinkable with the surprise and who planned it. Because all this time he never celebrated anything after being lived by his parents.
“Thank you all.”
Everyone is having fun with the party.
“But not today the restaurant is open huh?”
Everyone was silent for a moment to make William confused, but everyone continued the party. William felt lied to, today the restaurant will not be opened because the chaos can not be cleaned on time, then he decided to have fun with everyone.
It did not feel nightfall, everyone who joined the party last long felt tired and decided to go home to each other. William thanked the officers again before they returned home. He wanted to go home soon because he was exhausted, but seeing a lot of dirty dishes and glasses made him want to clean it before going home. Widia's grandmother helped her and did not take long because the restaurant employees were not too much, so the tools were poured a little.
William was in a state of exhaustion and wanted to go home, he imagined being able to rest on his soft bed. He gets out of the place and while outside the restaurant, he meets uncle Willy who wants to go home too.
“William.. Uncle brought home.. You must be tired.”
“Thank you uncle.”
They both got into a car not so far away and the car belonged to uncle Willy. It was such a fun experience for William to be able to work in that place where everyone was kind to him and made himself comfortable being there.
Uncle Willy tells his past to his uncle William while driving his car. It didn't take long to get in front of William's house in a car, they finally arrived in front of William's house. William got out of the car and Willy's uncle said to him before he walked to his door.
“Break.. Everyone is waiting for this day, the restaurant will also uncle liburkan for 3 days.. So enjoy your time before returning to work again.”
“Thank you uncle.”
William got out of his place and walked towards the door of his house, he opened the door with the key in his pocket. With a tired body, William chose to lie down for a moment on the sofa. He did not know what time it was now, he was sleepy and began to sleep on the sofa without being able to do what with the tired body.
