Sidney came out of the room where she talked to Elrick for two hours, which made Sidney plong's heart. One thing that is now increasingly realized, God is fair. He may have taken his mother back, and even given his father a cipher, but He also gave his father and surrogate mother a wonderful love for him.
On the first rung of the stairs, Sidney meets Scot who has been waiting for her ever since. The two friends looked at each other, then smiled.
Sidney walks towards Scot, eroding the distance between them, until the man pulls Sidney's hand to sit in the living room.
"So all this time, what's the reason you disappeared from my life? from all of our lives?"
"There's no reason, I don't disappear, it just takes time to be alone. Now I'm back, back to the house I'm supposed to be heading to." Sidney's tears are growing.
His eyes had even been sore because all day long it was producing tears. Scot hugged her, stroking the girl's back to make her calmer.
The atmosphere between them could finally melt away. Sidney could now laugh at the Scot's jokes. "Well, today we've had a long day, you must be tired. We rest. We have a lot to talk about tomorrow."
Sidney nodded. He moved away from his place while Scot did not board because he received a call from Gladys, who is currently in Singapore, accompanying his mother, who was guarding his father in the hospital.
Sidney dissolves in her daydream. Walking up the stairs until he arrived in front of his room, astonished to see the door open. The girl came in, and was surprised. Stay in place, frozen because right in front of him Paris who was in the room also wanted to get out.
The two looked at each other in silence as well as frost. They both felt like they were on the floor of the room. None of them retreated or stepped aside.
"Hey...,"
"H-ai..," said Sidney in a choked voice. His throat was dry and getting sore just to swallow his saliva.
"I just picked up my stuff in your room" said Paris, holding up the book in her right hand.
"Oh. yeah."
Sidney moved aside so as not to block Paris from passing by. Sidney's actions make Paris suspect that the girl wants her out of there. Paris took a breath, and walked out, past Sidney.
But just two steps in front of the room, Paris stopped. He turned his back to look at the girl. Ah, miss it so much. I want to feel like hugging him. Missing, very much missing.
"Oh, God, I'd love to be angry and embrace this girl. Why is it so hard to take you off? My heart says don't take it off, but your hands are already tied to another hand," inner Paris.
Sidney knew that Paris was watching her. The sound of his feet moving away he no longer heard. His body was stiff, nervous and did not know what to do now.
"Sid, can we talk to you for a second?"
***
The night breeze on the balcony gently swept over Sidney's beautiful face, playing on her strands of hair framing her face.
Paris silently looked at that face from the side. The face that had always been a friend in his loneliness. Missing friend. Long ago, every time he always imagined stroking the girl's face, why after being this close was his hand helpless?
"Say she'll talk?" Sidney turned her face to Paris who was caught stealing the look.
"Oh, yes. You how are you? Where have you been all this time? Do you live and live comfortably and well? Is everyone in your neighborhood nice to you? No one's fucking you?"
It was actually no longer a conversation leading to a conversation, but an interrogation. Why every time he's near Sidney, his brain is blunt.
"Much questions?" Sidney smiled, she understood Paris' nervousness, and so did she. Paris seems to change a lot, from appearance, how to dress, looks more mature and also classy.
"You're like the stars in the sky, Ris. Far and hard to reach. I with my current state can only look at you from a distance," inner Sidney tried to smile and turned her gaze over the sky.
Paris smiled, ashamed of being so eager to ask Sidney, as if she still had the right to ask like that.
"I'm good. All good. Are you okay too?"
Paris only nodded, but his heart was at war. "Sir, Sid. I'm not okay. I've been sick and have no spirit since you left me."
"Management." Sidney is smiling.
The atmosphere between the two looked extremely stiff, like two people who did not know each other. Paris' heart is so sick. Close but feels far away.
"You're going back to Bandung?"
"Yes. Tomorrow morning I leave."
"Is the man you were with you just now.is your lover?"
Sidney just nodded weakly. Pain but not bleeding. He was sick of having to admit that and he was sicker because it consciously hurt Paris' feelings about it.
"Lid..." Paris is getting serious. He did not want to waste this opportunity. He's fighting once again to get the girl's heart.
It's just Sidney's unprepared coward. He was afraid that Paris would open their story again.
"Ris, it's late, I sleep first, yeah. Tomorrow morning we have to go back to Bandung. Good night." Sidney has gone from her place. He did not want to have their old wounds torn back, especially he did not want Paris to see him cry.
Paris turned around, her heart continued to urge her forward, and it was for the first time from her folly at their farewell that Paris followed her heart.
Paris pulls his hand, pushing Sidney's body against the wall. Surprise and nervousness make Sidney's breath collide with Paris's breath.
The two human children who both want to hurt each other can only look at each other, talking through the eyes.
One minute, two minutes passed... Paris's face drew nearer, drawing closer until he could hear Sidney's heartbeat. There was no resistance, making Paris step by step.
The universe supported, the night breeze blew, and the sky bore witness under the moonlight, Paris fused their lips together. Gentle, deep and describe the wound and longing in the heart.
The soft kiss was a picture of the sadness they had been feeling, a picture of waiting and also hope.
Paris's hand touched Sidney's neck, her fingers dancing on Sidney's woman's smooth skin. Holding her neck so that Paris deeper sensed the sweet taste on the lips of the girl. Sidney also did not want to lose, she wanted to satisfy the longing for Paris, returning the kiss wholeheartedly, as if to say, saying,
'Paris, this is my heart, will always be there for you, will always beat just for you.'
Sidney was closed, she wanted to save all this wonderful flavor for her to remember. He was afraid to open his eyes, afraid that all this was just too beautiful a dream.
Quietly, Sidney prayed in her heart that time would stop turning. He wanted to stay here quietly with this man enjoying the taste that enveloped his heart.
Sidney realized when she opened her eyes, there would be hearts of people who were hurt.
Oh Universe, how frustrated he is. Sidney deepened her kiss. Holding Paris' waist, squeezing the man's shirt.
Their breathing rushes and when the kiss is over, Sidney opens her eyes, returning to reality.
"This is not true. There is Ryu among us, and maybe also another woman. I wouldn't want to be the third person in anyone's relationship" she stared at Paris. With tears in her eyes, Sidney ran to her room.
