The Passion of the Actor

The Passion of the Actor
Chapter 40's

Not sleeping all night makes his head feel heavy. But he had to hurry, prepare to meet the Kingdom. But why was there such reluctance, as if he did not have the courage to meet Raya. Truthfully after learning the truth, Elrick changed his gaze towards the girl. He strongly condemns his behavior, as well as the bia*dab people who have trapped Raya.

She was eager to meet her ex-husband, beating up the man for wasting away. Wasn't he the one who wanted the girl from the beginning? then after getting it, why waste and choose to marry again!

Wait, why does he care about that girl? why would he want so badly to protect the Kingdom? is all this because of his guilt? but actually, he's not wrong either. He only hires the services of a girl, whom he does not realize is under the influence of drugs.

What if Raya finds out, she's the one who took her crown? Can Raya forgive him or sue him?

Dizziness thinking about all that, Elrick took a shower, and got ready. When he opened the suitcase, his eyes were fixed on a shirt that used to be his birthday present. One smile curled up on the man's lips.

Though he only carelessly took clothes for him to carry, until the shirt was included in the suitcase.

There was a big push in his heart to wear that shirt, and he followed his heart.

***

Four o'clock in the afternoon Elrick showed up. It took time for him to prepare his heart in order to dare to meet Raya. The bamboo fence was open until Elrick decided to enter.

Tok...

There is no lawfulness. On the second knock, then the door was opened by Raya.

"Mas Elrick?" raya said surprised. I didn't think the person you were visiting right now was Elrick.

What is this guy here for? does he know where my address is?

"You're not letting me in?" elrick asked trying to calm down the turmoil in his heart.

"Oh, yes. Come in, Mas."

Raya's getting nervous. I am worried about Elrick at home. Again the question of what the man came for kept urging his heart to ask.

"What do you drink, Mom?" his nervousness still did not subside, even worse, how not, Elrick did not look at him, making him feel uncomfortable.

"Warm water."

Raya goes back inside, takes a drink for Elrick. At that moment, Elrick looked around him. There are some photos on the wall or on the sideboard. Her smile was etched beautifully, upon seeing the small Kingdom. The girl smiled widely, as if showing off her toothless tooth. The welcome bangs made her face look adorable.

Then there's a photo of a teenager. Wearing a high school uniform with a girl who also wears the same uniform. The girl was the same one that was on Betty's phone back then. He is a close friend of Raya who has helped make a trap for Raya.

A lot of time is wasted in the silence between the two. Elrick doesn't know where to start, Raya doesn't know what to say. Because the two people were not familiar, the last met also in a state of discomfort.

"Ray... shall we go home, yuk?"

Raya looked up, staring in disbelief at what her ears heard. Elrick's voice was even like a whisper, so soft. "Huh?"

"I mean, you came back with me to Jakarta. Oma asked me to take you home," she clarified the sentence at the beginning.

"Oma.. Sorry to worry Oma, but I can't go back to Jakarta, Mas. Dad asked me to stay here. Don't let me go back to Jakarta anymore."

"Huh? how could that be! I mean, you'll have a business there. How's your laundry?" Elrick was looking for a reason to make Raya want to come with him.

Their conversation comes to a halt when a middle-aged man, whom Elrick guesses is Raya's father, walks into the house.

"Assalamualaik."

"Wa'alaikumsalam, father," said Raya rushing up from her seat, kissing the back of Darma's hand.

The man's eagle eyes were on standby, staring intently at Elrick. The man was a stranger, he had never seen him before.

"Good afternoon, sir," said Elrick to Darma.

With his mouth locked, Darma receives Elrick's hand. "Sorry, who are you? what's there to do here?" tanyanya cold. He must be vigilant. Don't want to be cheated again. Any man around them should be on his guard. It was for the good of his daughter.

"Oh, meet, sir. I'm Elrick. From Jakarta."

"The reason for coming here? I don't feel like I know you!" Darma's attitude remained coldly unfriendly. Raya who was originally sitting, immediately stood up and took a back seat. Deliberately linger there. Actually he had no reason to worry, but somehow still his heart was not calm.

He knows his father. She would not like anyone to come near her, especially since she was currently a widow.

After winning his heart, though still pounding, he returned to the front, carrying his father's favorite coffee on the tray.

"Dad, coffee," said Raya full of fear. Elrick had also been watching the father and son in turn.

"Ray, you go in first" Darma ordered. Raya was surprised for a moment, but immediately nodded when looking deeply into his father's eyes. That look is indisputable.

Darma only started talking, just after Raya had actually entered, leaving the two men behind. "What are you here for?"

"Sorry, I came to bring Raya back to Jakarta" replied Elrick calmly. Nothing in this world could scare him. Even his business colleagues, many were disinclined and died fleas in the presence of Elrick. He can calmly face anyone, except Raya. That girl in her way could always make it hot cold.

"Bringing him home? you're who? why take him away?"

"I..." Elrick was silent for a moment. What he should answer. A man takes a girl away, if not a husband at least a boyfriend or a friend. Here, Elrick isn't the third. There's no way he's saying, though,

"Sorry, Sir. I was the man who had forcibly snatched away the honor of the Kingdom back then. But I have no intention to make amends by marrying her, for example!" Uh, married? the disgusting word he hated the most! So confused as to what to say, Elrick takes a safe answer for him but without him realizing it makes him look stupid!

"I. Oma's granddaughter." she finally succeeded clumsily.

"Omma? who's Oma? I don't know him. Please go home."

"Oma, my grandmother. He loved Raya very much, and wanted Raya back. He specifically sent me to pick Raya home."

"I don't know any of you, no one can take my daughter from here!"
