Chapter 34

Eca went back to check on the equipment she had brought in for a college entrance test at one of the state universities. He was very excited and nervous about entering the first selection of college. Since yesterday Eca prayed for success. He had high hopes for the test this time. Mama unceasingly reminded Eca to check the luggage since last night. Eca was quite relieved to see the reaction of the mother who had started to look back as usual, in contrast to these days who were moody continued. Eca walked quickly to the bus. Along the way he tried to reject the facts his parents were talking about. He was like a madman who kept shaking with a trembling body. Some people on the bus looked at him strangely and dodged him. He was like a possessed person with his own world.

Until the exam paper is shared, Eca's mind is still fixed on the conversation of her parents. He held the pen firmly. None of the instructions from the supervisor has been done, starting from writing the full name, identity and answering questions appropriately. He stared at the exam paper but his mind wandered at home. He did not want his parents to divorce. Both parents cannot divorce!

Eca put the pen down firmly. Everyone's attention turned to him. The supervisor approached and looked at the test paper.

"there's trouble?" asked the supervisor while looking at Eca's tightly clenched hand.

The woman shook her head. He stood up and ran out of the examination room. He kept running with tears flowing. Not caring about the gazes asked the people who saw the action. He wants to go home. He did not return by bus but he ran. With tears that continue to pour he races with the sun that continues to rise.

Eca fell near the park. His legs and hands were scratched quite a lot. But no matter what, he ran back. Heedless of his throbbing legs as he continued to run. Nor does he care about his painful hands and feet. Far from it all, his heart was more painful to hear the revelation of mama this morning.
