Chapter 39

The quiet atmosphere in the room bore witness to two people who were busy with their own thoughts. Eca tried to guess the cause of papa infected with HIV. Papa was also busy guessing Eca's reaction when he heard the story later. Both are the same, equally unable to deal with it.

"since when?" eca's voice trembled along with her hands that were shaking on her lap.

"the father doesn't know exactly when. But since being examined 3 months ago the doctor said positive."

Eca breathed a sigh of anger. He held his forehead with his left hand. The right hand is bitten in the mouth. He looked at papa with a hard-to-explain look. Too many things were going through his mind at the moment.

"Tia know?"

"he's the one who took me to the doctor."

"what's the matter with Tia?"

"he got it from papa."

"what?!!"

Eca was surprised by papa's statement. Both of his eyes were perfectly widened. If not from Tia then where can papa come from? Time from mama?

"it's not just Tia papa cheating. But only Tia's pregnant."

Both of Eca's eyes seemed to be coming out of place. He shook his head looking at papa in disbelief. It was as if he did not know the figure who was lying weakly before him.

"i didn't know that papa was that asshole!"

"sorry. Papa was wrong." lirih papa lowered his head deeper.

"what about my mom?!"

"papa's always been wearing security with mom and we haven't done that before you graduated High School. Maybe ever since he found out your mom's cheating papa never wanted to be touched again."

"thankfully. Mama is not stupid." said Eca with relief.

"So Tia?!" ask Eca again.

"yes he is positive and the child he contains as well."

Eca was shocked to shut her mouth. Either karma or again apes, Eca is quite sympathetic to the content of Tia. But she doesn't care about Tia, she's old enough to understand the risks of what she's doing.

"but why is papa dropping so fast?"

"believe it or not, parting with the three of you is devastating. Papa's stressed about parting with you. Can't we go back to what we used to be, Eca? can you ask me to come back with you again?" papa's cry broke at the end of his sentence.

Seeing the crying papa sobbing makes Eca also shed tears. He could understand with papa's wish that they wanted to get back together. Eca sometimes thinks the same thing. Back in the days before papa was appointed director, their family was much more harmonious. Getting a higher position is proof that does not add happiness to be a catastrophe in their families.

"it's too late. Just live the life of the present papa. My mom is much happier. I'd better not linger here. Mama would be sad if she knew that I had met someone who had hurt her" Eca said.

"can't papa just meet you? Papa please. Still you hope papa." lirih papa looked at Eca with a pleading gaze.

"Eca doesn't like to see Tia!! If you want to see me, don't let me see Tia!" eca looked at papa sharply.

"ta-but"

"papa not willing?? Until whenever you still think about that cheap woman!"

Eca took a wide step. He chose to leave Papa's room. He was disappointed with the papa who was still thinking about Tia. Though the woman never thought of papa at least to take care of it neatly, Tia did not want to bother.

"she's pregnant with Eca. Papa couldn't bear to throw it away." said papa stopped Eca's hand holding the doorknob.

"but papa has to cheat with mama."

Eca then came out of the room. He was angry with the papa who still cared about Tia. Until whenever Eca hates Tia. Because of Tia, the reason she and Nehan separated, because Tia and her mother also separated.

While going through the living room, Eca saw Tia watching tv with her legs raised on the table. Not forgetting he ate the pea rind and threw away his trash carelessly. You can see the living room like a broken ship.

"your father is very troublesome! Better get him home and take care of it!" cetus Tia when his vision caught Eca.

"you better put your feet up. This is my papa's house!"

"ck he's gonna have to take responsibility for this baby. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be stuck in this fucking house!"

"just go no one forbids you!"

"haha. . . You think I'm stupid? This house should fall on my hands as a copensation because your papa made me pregnant!"

"you will get nothing. I made sure of it!"

Eca ran back into papa's room. His breathing was interrupted as he ran through the stairs. He opened the door to my room and went inside.

"i'd like to meet and take care of papa but on condition that I don't give Tia a penny. How's pa?"

"alright."

Papa is forced to accept Eca's request. He did not want his youngest daughter to be angry anymore. Deep down he wanted to meet more often with Eca at least he could meet one of the three women he cared about the most. Although he still pity Tia. For Tia's business she could think about it later.
