CHAPTER 9 BROKEN WINGS

The next morning Man Se left for the office cheerfully. Man Se fixed his makeup in front of the mirror in the office bathroom. She was wearing a unique necklace that Min Hyuk gave her last night. He recalls their romantic memories at the Cafe. Man Se smiled back while looking at his reflection in the mirror.

While coming out of the toilet, Man Se meets Secretary Ma in the hallway of the office She's his secretary Kang Seo Woo, the woman who used to welcome Man Se first in the office.

"Miss Oh, Mr. Kang Seo Woo asked for your help to deliver this file to the CEO's office as soon as possible" Secretary Ma said.

"Ah, yes," replied Man Se understood and retrieved the files that were in the woman's hands.

While walking towards Min Hyuk's office he had a peek at the contents of those files. It contains sheets of paper to sign and photographs. He saw a photo of him wearing red and Hanbok, which was taken by Seo Woo some time ago.

Man Se smiled, beautiful as well as me, like not me, that was what Man Se had in mind. But for what photos of him are among the photos of the models, there must be a right of use permit and agreement before determining myself as a company model, thought Man Se. Before long there was an incoming SMS, from Seo Woo whose contents after dropping off the file immediately to the bottom floor again to make an agreement as a company model. "You know the rumor that our handsome CEO sir is about to marry the daughter of the Hong family? Hong Sun Hwa," said the woman carrying the file.

Photos of Min Hyuk in Jeju with the Hong family also circulated on the internet. Man Se is getting less confident. Could it be that what Min Hyuk had said all along was a lie, really just a mirage?

Man Se's heart powerless to shed tears, but still held sobs and pain in his chest. Even more painful for Man Se, only he did not know the news about the matchmaking. Even Min Hyuk did not say anything that night.

Soon the office door opened, and Secretary Park walked out from the inside with a man who looked like an important person. The receptionist tells Man Se to come in.

Man Se realized that one day this must happen. He should not indulge his love for Min Hyuk even though he knows he will end up hurting. Man Se pushed the door, and saw Min Hyuk was looking out the window. Hearing Man Se enter he immediately turned his head, and smiled brightly.

"Man Se" he said with a big smile.

Man Se was trying to smile, he was feeling remorseful, and asked inwardly, is Min Hyuk's smile purely for her? Man Se walked over, then with a slightly shaking hand he put the file map on the workbench.

"This is the file you asked for," said Man Se then immediately turned around to leave.

Min Hyuk pulled Man Se's hand, then hugged her from behind. Man Se was surprised, he resigned, his chest felt rumbling withstanding the cries.

"Man Se, I miss you. Stay like this, I want to linger a long time hugging you," said Min Hyuk.

Man Se's tears did not feel, and the warm clear was increasingly shaking his body. Her tears fell into Min Hyuk's hands. Min Hyuk turned around Man Se, seeing the eyes of the girl he loved as swollen and full of tears. Man Se is getting more and more excited.

"You crying? What was?Is there a problem?" ask Min Hyuk.

Man Se's tongue felt faint to speak, his throat felt choked unable to make a sound. She just shook her head speechlessly because of her crying.

Min Hyuk stared fixedly at Man Se's face, then asked "Do you know about the news? News of my wedding plans with the Hong family's daughter?".

Man Se nodded his head. Min Hyuk then hugged Man Se for a moment then looked at him.

"I'd better be honest with you. The news is true. Papa planned this match. Papa said I needed someone who would cement my position in the company. He planned everything, whereas I haven't given him the answer until now, because I love you. Not only did we weigh our feelings and thoughts between our love and the strengthening of my position in the company. There are other things I consider that I can't possibly tell you until I'm sure about the truth, I'm worried that if you know it will get you away from me" Min Hyuk said.

Man Se walked slowly with a disappointed and wounded heart. His tears were already dry, but the cloudiness on his face could not be covered. His mind felt empty, until Seo Woo called him too he did not ignore. Man Se walked on until he exited the building. Continuing to walk around regardless of the surroundings, arriving at a park, Man Se sat on a chair under a tree. He's hurt, broken wing.

The Devil has managed to ruin Man Se's life. Excessive sadness, fear and worry, let alone vengeance, would become Satan's tender food. Man Se doesn't realize it, he has opened Pandora's box containing all the sorrows of life. Min Hyuk with all his weakness and greed for love for Man Se, had also opened the door on purpose, creating a tempest between them that was inevitable.
