The Scent of Life (1)
CHAPTER 3 AT THE PARTY

The scattering of sagas ushered the sun into the contest, changing with the moon, and the stars looked at Man Se who was already dressed up beautifully. The girl was standing on the balcony of the house. The red shirt wrapped his perfect body, as if Man Se was a thrilling life painting of anyone who looked at him.

Soon the bell rang, disperse the daydream of Man Se who was enjoying the beauty of Seoul at the beginning of the night.

It must be big brother, thought Man Se.

Immediately he ran small, while taking out his white fur coat and handbag. He reflected for a moment, then opened the door for Min Hyuk. There was a disappointed look on Man Se's face when he opened the door, it was Min Ji who came.

"Why do you look so disappointed?" asked Min Ji who could read the look on Man Se's face.

"Min Ji," Man Se sighed.

"Didn't you see Min Hyuk's SMS? I was told to pick you up. He's sorry he couldn't pick you up because Mr. Kang told him to pick up Mr. Kim at the airport" Min Ji explained.

Man Se was silent, in his mind it must be Min Hyuk currently with Min Sook at the airport.

"Magic Grandma must be with Min Hyuk at this time" said Min Ji who seemed to know what was in the mind of his best friend.

"Let's go," asked Man Se.

Along the way Man Se just kept quiet. Min Ji occasionally glanced at him, still seeing the uneasiness in the pretty look of Man Se.

"No worries about who Min Hyuk is with today. Should you express your feelings to Min Hyuk?" ask Min Ji.

Man Se glanced at Min Ji.

"Are you crazy, it would be an unpleasant rumor if we were in a relationship. Just let me keep what I feel right now. I know that big brother feels for me too, but one day he'll know the consequences of his love for me. She's a CEO of a successful company, I think she's going to need someone who will strengthen her position in the company, not a woman who has nothing like me" explained Man Se.

Min Ji just kept quiet and pondered over Man Se's words. Min Ji's red car rolled through the autumn air of Seoul, making the windshield a little dewy. It's winter soon. As Man Se's heart grew increasingly foggy, because his love for Min Hyuk seemed impossible to come true.

A tall and handsome man stands in the Arrival section of Incheon airport. Min Hyuk, accompanied by a driver. The man in a neat suit was pacing around waiting for someone to arrive, while occasionally looking at his dress. His message to Man Se is still pending. He could not pick up Man Se, as he had to welcome Mr. Kim as an investor in the Kang Group company project. Finally he sent a message to Min Ji to replace him to pick up Man Se.

Soon a limousine arrived at the airport parking lot. The driver came out and opened the door for someone sitting in the back. Min Sook came out with her red high heels. His clothes were elegant and luxurious. Min Sook walks like a socialite, attracting the attention of passersby. It is beautiful, but the way to walk with the chin raised indicates he is a person of high heart. Min Hyuk saw Min Sook coming, then he bowed, a sign of respect.

"Sister Min Hyuk" said Min Sook.

Min Hyuk just smiled.

"Papa's not here yet. Have you been waiting a long time?" ask Min Sook.

"No, about ten minutes," Min Hyuk replied briefly.

There was an announcement that the plane from France had landed.

"Ah, it must be Mr. Kim's plane" Min Hyuk said.

They drew closer to the Arrival door, before long came a middle-aged man in glasses with a few people behind him.

"Father! greet Min Sook while waving to her father.

"My girl!" replied Mr. Kim smiling brightly at the sight of his daughter.

"How are you, Mr. Kim," Min Hyuk greeted with respect.

"Well, you must be Kang Min Hyuk. Thank you for picking me up. Today is Kang Seo Woo's birthday. I haven't seen him in a long time. I also want to know the news," said Mr. Kim.

Min Hyuk bowed in respect.

"Yes Mr. Kim, let me drop off" said Min Hyuk.

They're heading out of the airport to Mr. Kang's residence.

Min Ji's car has arrived at Mr. Kang's residence. Man Se and Min Ji got out of the car and were greeted by the servants. Man Se walked straight into the kitchen. He thought it would be very busy in the kitchen, who knew they needed his help. Madam Ma was busy telling the waiter to deliver food to the dining room and prepare a small party in the garden near the pond. Madam Ma sees Man Se coming.

"Geez, my beautiful girl, why are you here?" ask Madam Ma.

"I thought you would need my help" replied Man Se.

"Well, let's go, Miss ahead. Miss is beautiful today" said Madam Ma, pushing Man Se out of the kitchen.

In front of the kitchen door Man Se meets Seo Woo.

"Well, you've come" Seo Woo said happily.

Man Se smiled.

"Come with me, there's something I want to show you," Seo Woo asked while dragging Man Se's hand to follow him.

Man Se follows Seo Woo's steps. It turns out that Seo Woo took Man Se to his brother's workspace.

"Traaraa!" cetus Seo Woo while showing a rolled up cloth.

Man Se scrunched his forehead.

"What's that?" ask Man Se.

Seo Woo then slowly unrolled the cloth and exposed it on the desk. Seo Woo smiled proudly. In the cloth there is a beautiful painting. Although impressed ancient, but Man Se really amazed by the painting. Painting of a beautiful girl in white Goryeo-era clothes. His hand held several red flower stalks.

Man Se's heart suddenly thumped, I don't know what strange feeling he felt. It was as if he knew the girl in the painting.

"Wow!" cetus Man Se, "It's so pretty, '" he said.

"The brother who gave me this painting" Seo Woo said, "He got it when the antiques auctioned for charity" he continued.

"You know, this painting was painted directly by Gwangjong, the king of Goryeo, so it's thousands of years old" Seo Woo continued.

Man Se stared fixedly at the girl in the painting.

"But .. I feel weird about this painting," Seo Woo said.

"Any?" ask Man Se.

"Emm, somehow I feel my heart pounding when I look at this painting for a long time, as if this girl's face is familiar to me," seo Woo said with a face full of question marks while thinking about something in his brain.

"I feel the same way too" Man Se said as if trying to convince Seo Woo.

Seo Woo stared fixedly at the painting and picked it up. He brought the painting close to Man Se's face.

"Did I not look wrong? Why does the face of the girl in this painting look like yours?" seo Woo said as if worried about how he felt.

Man Se laughed out loud as if he did not believe Seo Woo's opinion which he considered unreasonable.

"Come on, you gotta be kidding me. She's a Goryeo-era girl, and I'm a millennium-old girl" Man Se.

Seo Woo just laughed. Soon someone knocked on the door.

"Young Master, the dinner will start, the guests have also started coming" said a waiter from outside the door.

Seo Woo has agreed. After putting the painting on the desk, Seo Woo held Man Se's hand out to the dining room.

They both went down the stairs. Kang's family and the guests were already waiting at the table. Mr and Mrs Kang, Min Hyuk, Mr. Kim, Min Sook, Samchon Kang Mr. Kang's sister along with his wife, Min Ji and Woo Jin, are, as well as some other invited guests who are indeed limited to the Kang Group relations. Seo Woo holds Man Se's hand, towards the dining table that has been provided.

Min Hyuk was stunned to see the beauty of Man Se. The girl sat opposite Min Hyuk who was sitting near Min Sook. Man Se looked at Min Hyuk, who was seen as feeling groggy and then cleared his throat to cover up his feelings.

 MC starts the show. The festive party begins. After the birthday greetings of Mr. Kang and Seo Woo, the invitees are welcome to eat and continue the party at the park near the pond.

Man Se walked towards the edge of the pool alone. Min Hyuk came over while bringing a glass of drink.

"Sorry, I couldn't pick you up just now" Min Hyuk said as he offered a drink.

"What's wrong," Man Se said briefly with a smile.

Min Hyuk felt groggy.

"Why? Are you groggy looking at me today? Does your sister look pretty tonight?"the Canda Man Se.

Min Hyuk laughed loudly.

"What is your business with Mr Kim? Did you manage to convince him to invest his money in the New Millennium project?" man Se asked opening the chat.

"I haven't managed to convince Mr. Kim, there is something to learn about his terms and agreement" Min Hyuk explained. Man Se nodded his head.

"I know you can go through everything smoothly" Man Se said.

I don't know where the bad taste suddenly came from. Man Se seemed to have a bad feeling that would happen. Then Mr. Kang came over to Min Hyuk to be introduced to someone. Min Hyuk asks Man Se for permission to leave. After Min Hyuk passed, Min Ji came over.

"Eh, your face is beaming. I saw Kang Min Hyuk's eyes always on you. Looks like she's fascinated with you tonight" Min Ji said.

"I feel like his gaze is locked in my charm" Man Se said confidently.

Min Ji could see the development of his best friend's relationship. Soon, Min Sook approached the two of them. As if to be a creepy ghost, Min Ji cast spells to repel Min Sook. But whatever, the spell Min Ji read was just an insult. Min Sook is getting closer. Man Se and Min Sook looked at each other. If depicted in the comics there will probably be flashes of lightning from the eyes of the two that collide with each other.

"Hey girl's defenseless, you look shiny today with your falsehood. You shouldn't be among us today."

Min Sook started to stick his words at Man Se. The girl was silent and did not want to be provoked by Min Sook's provocation.

"Come, Min Ji we go," Man Se asked.

He's better off leaving than getting emotional just because of Min Sook's dirty words, but Min Sook's not his name if he doesn't beat Man Se.

"Shameless people like you don't deserve Min Hyuk. You understand!" min Sook insulted Man Se.

Man Se goes by, but Min Sook's leg gets ahold of his leg. Man Se lost his balance and fell into the pool. All the guests were shocked and became excited.

"Hohoho, indeed you only deserve to be in that filthy pool Oh Man Se!" taunted Min Sook.

Man Se sagged and drenched. Min Hyuk was surprised and was about to move in to help, but Seo Woo was already ahead of him. Seo Woo took off his suit and ran and plunged into the cold pool. Man Se survived being able to be lifted from the pool. He shivered in the cold, his clothes were drenched and his footwear was lost in the pool. Seo Woo pairs up his suit to cover Man Se's soaking wet body.

"You'll get Kim Min Sook's reply!" Seo Woo curses Min Sook while bringing Man Se into the house.

Min Ji too, he clenched his hand at Min Sook as if threatening him would one day avenge what he had done to Man Se. Min Sook fluttered, as if innocence had done so.

Min Hyuk was just stunned to see the incident, without being able to do anything for the person he loved. Man Se shivered in the cold, his heart was also sad and disappointed. Man Se wondered inwardly why Min Hyuk was silent when he fell into the pool. Seo Woo escorts Man Se into the house.

"Oh my God," said Mrs Kang, welcoming Man Se, and taking him to the bathroom to get a bath and get changed.

Man Se sat quietly while covered in his old room. She was crying as much as she could. His heart felt mixed.

After the party, Min Hyuk was in his study looking at a painting of a Goryeo girl. His heart also felt the same thump as Man Se when looking at the painting. Min Hyuk felt dejavu when he first saw the painting at the auction place. He pensively thought of Man Se and felt disappointed with himself.

In the room, Seo Woo pondered while looking out the window, in his mind there was also Man Se. He tried to digest his feelings, since when did he start liking Man Se. As if in his mind there was only that girl.

Man Se, Min Hyuk and Seo Woo are preoccupied with their respective feelings. When the whisper of the devil enters the soul of the fragile heart of man, the heart will fly wherever it takes it. A metal ball tub played between his fingers. Human feelings become chaotic and prefer to decrease the lust to avoid discomfort. Even though the more deteriorated, humans will be increasingly destroyed into dust.
