The Ambitious Young Knight

Second day on the battlefield.

I am so amazing to be able to hold the imperial army alone but it is a pity that the other knights do not enjoy this war like me. They were terrified as the Svennia empire exerted its full might to destroy the Earhat kingdom.

At first we were able to hold back the imperial troops in the border area but we were outnumbered and forced to retreat all the way to the capital. I was really upset about it but the annoyance disappeared instantly as I managed to finish off many imperial knights.

The capital had already destroyed half of the citizens who had fled to a safer place it was a pity because they could not watch the best knights in the kingdom of Earhat finish off many enemies. I am currently standing in the second tallest tower in the capital city, the clock tower.

I used magic binoculars and observed the imperial troops who were resting after a long battle. "They can stop the war just to rest" I grumbled. The Empire completely underestimated my abilities when I had already finished off many of their knights.

But today there really wasn't a big attack like the first day, what were they waiting for?. Waiting for us to attack first?. If so, they are really stupid. All the knights here had lost their nerve when they saw a large army marching here. Only a few people who still want to fight one of them is me.

I want to fight not because I love my homeland or have a high patriotism soul.  I do this purely because I want to be the best among the best. Yes I did all this for myself.

Not for the people what else the royal family.

Why I want to be the best among the best the answer is very simple because of circumstances. Circumstances make me never satisfied and always envious of the achievements of others. After all if I don't try then I will be underestimated by everyone and I don't like that very much.

Fate has determined myself as a lower class but that does not mean the ability is always below. I don't like to see others above me. Suddenly my vision became dark I immediately kept the binoculars away from my eyes.

"For a class of imperial troops they were very long aware of me"

These binoculars are not magic binoculars in general. I made these binoculars a few hours ago with makeshift stuff. Without a second thought I immediately threw away these binoculars and then jumped off the clock tower. The clock tower was immediately destroyed "they finally attacked again" I landed safely and immediately hid behind the ruins of the building.

I felt a high-speed object approaching towards me. Without a second thought I jumped out of the rubble and ran to dodge his following attack. Once it felt safe enough I immediately turned around and realized they were attacking me using cannons.

I scanned the surroundings and then looked at the black glove attached to my right hand. "Eventually they know who is the best" I was about to take off the gloves but someone appeared behind me looking I had to undo the intention to remove the handcuffs.

"Shut up and raise your hand, boy"

"I'm sorry but I have to clear up this misunderstanding, I'm already sixteen so you can call a teenager"

"What cares about me? for me___" the man behind me fell silent and did not continue his words.

"Sorry why you stopped I'm listening to you"

Silence struck them, for a sniper there was only one chance. Success or failure there is only one choice to choose from. If a sniper fails it is very easy to defeat them because it is a trap needed to be a second chance for their victory.

"But since when?"

"How is it ? actually I'm not sure if you're gonna die after I shoot now but I can't stand ignoring someone's question"

I who was in front of the man disappeared and created a gentle and cool wave of wind. Without further ado I shot the man but I did not expect that man would jump at me. The man made me hit the wall.

Suddenly a spear pierced through the young man's stomach "Aaaargggh" my roar. "You're crazy" I hugged the man tightly.  "You think ! only you can do that!!!"  dozens of fireballs appeared in the sky and flew towards them.

I held the man with all my might and yet he beat me with his elbow even though I wouldn't let go of him just like that. The man created a shield that protected us from my rain of fireballs "thank you for protecting me, in return accept this!!!" a lightning bolt struck him and made him shout loudly.

Hearing her loud screams satisfied me and immediately pushed her away from me. The man was lying on the ground and now had the scent of grilled meat from his body. I directly plucked this spear from my stomach and threw it away as far as possible.

When he ended this fight I immediately took off my gloves then increased my concentration and concentrated the energy in my right palm. The palm of my right hand let out a light and a rifle appeared in my hand. With complete confidence I walked closer to her .

For a sniper to shoot a defenseless target like this is not difficult but because it is a war. The death of this man must be confirmed immediately and also by eliminating this man I increasingly prove that I am the best among the good.

But suddenly my legs could not support my body so I fell to the ground. What happened?, all my limbs suddenly stiffened and my vision grew blurry. Like her I got poison but when. My view is getting heavier.

And then all of it went dark.
