Donzello saw the presence of his son who said something with a face radiating a seriousness.
"How is he doing?" Tanya Donzello still worried about Ruella's condition. "Is he okay? Is there nothing serious about him? Is there no problem either?"
Savero only nodded lightly answering all of his father's questions.
"You know Sav, I was so happy that Rue was pregnant with my son because I thought that boy would continue my company later, but that kid wasn't my son." Donzello. "I could have thought of him as my real son, but in reality he was not my biological son. That will make him one day leave me. And maybe one day the father of that child will come by messing things up."
Savero became transfixed after hearing his father's words.
"But I am also unlikely to part from him, for surely his father will not remain silent. It's getting really bad now." Donzello. "I've thought things through and will do things to make things work in my control."
"What does that mean?" Savero was confused by his father's words. "What are you gonna do?"
"I'll find out who the boy's father is and I'll finish him off." Answer Donzello. "I won't let that man come one day and take the boy."
Donzello's words left Savero speechless in confusion. The threat his own father had said made the man become afraid to tell the truth. He doesn't know what Donzello's reaction is if he's telling the truth.
This made Savero feel hesitant to tell the truth. The man took the decision to think things over once more before saying everything to Donzello.
"Do you know anything about who the boy's father is, Sav?" Ask Donzello
"No." Savero answered briefly with a lie. "Then are you going to tell Rue about you who already knows about the child she's carrying?"
"I'll act as if I don't know about it. You also have to cover it up. Can you do it, Sav?" Look Donzello. "I also want you to help me find out who the boy's father is."
Now Savero feels the position is going awry. He who is the father of the child conceived by his father's wife must help his father to find out who is the father of the child conceived.
"What's wrong? It's not that you keep it a secret because you don't want me to be so wrong for not knowing what to do?" Ask Donzello in a hurry. "That's the best way to get everything going. I will raise the child like my flesh and blood but I also want to make sure that no one bothers me."
Savero feels it's a good thing but that's not the case. He became afraid that one day his father would know that he was the father of the child. If that happens everything will get even more chaotic.
"Don't let Rue know that I already know about it. I don't want him to be bothered by the truth. I want to make her happy. That's good for me and also for La Nostra." Donzello explained his fear when referring to the Ruella family.
"Well, I won't tell her anything." Savero replied that in the end he did not know what to do.
...***...
By midday, Ruella, who had been allowed to go home by the doctor, was still waiting for Donzello's presence. The woman contacted him several times but none of his phone calls were answered, not even the messages he sent were answered. She only wanted to go home if her husband came.
"Is his job more important than his wife's?" Ruella asked Emiliano who was there. "Why didn't he call me, not even answering my calls."
"Did he know about your secret, Rue?" Asked Emiliano who was sitting on the side of the bed the place where Ruella was sitting on him at the moment. "Is that why he's angry and doesn't care about you?"
"Can. Because this is so weird. He's more concerned with his job than a wife who's carrying her child." Answer Emiliano.
Suddenly the door of the room opened. The figure that had just been present instantly made Ruella become relieved and happy. The person he had been waiting for a long time had finally come.
Donzello came along with a bouquet of red roses that he carried. The man revealed a smile by directly rushing in closer to Ruella.
Emiliano got out of bed and moved away to make room for Donzello and then left the room.
"Don, why did you just come?" Ruella said with a bent face, revealing her sulking self. "Even you didn't answer any of my calls."
"I'm sorry, honey. There's urgent work. I wanted to finish it right away so I could come see you that's why I didn't have time to answer the phone." Answer Donzello. "How are you? Sav said everything was fine. Is that true? You're all right, right? Nothing bad happened, right? What about my son?"
"Yes, you don't have to worry, everything's fine. The doctor also let me go home. I'm waiting for you to come home with you." Ruella.
"Good, we can go home now. As my apology to you, take this rose." Donzello gave a bouquet of roses he brought to Ruella.
With happiness Ruella received it and immediately she sulked because Donzello became happy again.
"Now are we going home?" The look of Donzello approached Ruella's body with faces staring at each other very closely. "I miss you so much, baby."
Ruella smiled at the expression of longing from her husband. Donzello kissed the woman.
Emiliano, who came out of the room after Donzello, saw Savero standing outside. He became a little suspicious of something. I don't know why what she said about Donzello, Ruella's pepper could be true. He thought that the man actually knew about the child Ruella conceived.
Soon the man who loved Ruella as a friend walked up to Savero to ask what she was thinking.
"Is that true?" Emiliano asked Savero.
Savero did not understand Emiliano's question. His face looked puzzled as the man before him asked indistinctly.
"I mean, was your father so busy with work that he didn't go straight to his wife who was carrying his child?" Ask Emiliano again more clearly.
As usual, Savero did not immediately answer all the things that were asked of him. He was just waiting for Emiliano to continue his words to find out what the man was thinking.
"That's so weird, he's more concerned with his job than his family. Didn't you?" Emiliano's gaze was filled with probing gazes. "But it's not strange if he's not worried about the child and his future baby. Ah, and one more. Nor would he worry if he knew that the child was not his."
Savero was still frozen and did not reply. He knew that Emiliano was just provoking him to answer all his suspicions.
"Say, did Donzello know that the child Ruella was carrying was not her child?" This time Emiliano asked Savero plainly.
