The Skewers House

The Skewers House
Fatal mistake

Prambudi walked up the stairs, followed by Sinta with her empty eyes. A few steps behind the two of them, the man with a wooden stick in the shape of a beautiful carving, seemed to walk staggered as he followed.

Kriieett

Prambudi opened the upper room door. Fragrant and rancid scents instantly burst out, causing an uncomfortable sensation in the sense of smell. With a little rough Prambudi pulled Sinta's hand to the corner of the room, then tied her hands and feet. Now Sinta is bound perfectly, with an expression that is still dazed. While next to him, Mbah Kadir was lying just like that with his breath stinged.

Prambudi looked at Mbah Kadir, not too clearly visible face because of the lighting of the room is very lacking. Prambudi touched the old man's right wrist.

"Your pulse is still good. You made it difficult for me Mbah. Why don't you just go to nature?" Prambudi muttered to himself. The pity in his heart was completely swallowed by the darkness.

Prambudi sat on the floor next to Mbah Kadir. Several times he took a deep breath. Meanwhile, the male stick looks busy in the other corner of the room. He folded up the banana leaves to fill with a set of flowers. Also igniting charcoal stacked on a shard of tile. In front of him were 8 vessels made of tightly sealed clay.

"The preparation is in order?," Prambudi asked breaking the silence.

"Yes, it's a creep," replied the man with the wand.

"Who are your ka, actually" Mbah Kadir suddenly made a sound. With his breath stinged and stammered he looked at Prambudi. His hand moved trying to reach Prambudi's body, but his strength was so weak.

"Waahh, still conscious anyway?," Prambudi smiled wryly.

"You turned out to be a member of a group of misguided people" said Mbah Kadir lirih.

"You don't know what Mbah is" Sergey Prambudi.

"What don't I know? You are a child yesterday afternoon who wants to get the treasure in a dirty way. .how vile way, as long as it is fast, .uhuk uhukk," Mbah Kadir coughed cough, his voice getting louder.

"Don't judge me from your point of view. You are older than me, but you have never felt the bitterness of the destiny of life. A person like you who is destined to have a large land, rich from birth, will not know what it feels like to be a person who is despised, one eye like me," Prambudi leaned his head against the wall.

"Don't look at me dying like that. I will not fail like Retno. My determination is stronger, my plan is more mature," Prambudi took a slow breath.

"You? Recognize Retno? Who are you?" Mbah Kadir asked, his eyes starting to blur. His consciousness is becoming harder to maintain.

"Well, I thought it might not hurt to tell you. Hopefully after this, you can rest peacefully in nature there huh Mbah," Prambudi bowed, close his lips to Mbah Kadir's ears.

Prambudi whispered something that made Mbah Kadir glare. The old grandfather was shocked by Prambudi's words. His breath is getting rarer. While staring at Prambudi's face, Mbah Kadir began to feel a cold sensation radiating from the tip of his foot slowly rising like he was interested in something. Until finally the life energy only felt left at the base of his throat. The next few seconds, the old man's body with his thin body, stiffened, not breathing anymore.

Prambudi took a deep breath, he leaned back against the wall. He had often seen death before his eyes. But every time it happened, sadness and guilt always came to disturb his heart.

"Don't be weak Prambudi. Destiny happens to you there is no way to avoid or stop it. Unless you finish the groove," The wand man muttered looking at Prambudi.

Prambudi remained silent.

"All are ready Prambudi. There's one more. After that you will be the one untouched by grief," The wand man smiled, looking cruel and evil.

"Emmhhh," A moaning voice, made Prambudi gasp.

Sinta began to wake up, aware of the influence of Prambudi's mantra. Buru buru Prambudi took the duct tape and glued it to the woman's mouth.

"Mmhhh mmmhhh mmmhhh," Sinta started moving wildly. The stomping of his legs and bound body was extremely strong.

"Calm down" Prambudi said softly.

Sinta looked at Prambudi. He doesn't recognize her at all. In his mind came many questions, who is that man? Why did he kidnap her?

"You must be confused. We don't know each other. But I brought you to my place this way. I didn't expect you to forgive me for what would happen. But one thing you should know, I did this because I had to," Prambudi approached Sinta's body. A little rough he pulled Sinta's shorts.

"Mmhhh mmhhmm mhhmmmm," Sinta tried to push and fight, but free. His strength is so weak.

Prambudi managed to take off Sinta's pants. And that's when he was shocked. He did not expect to make a fatal mistake. Prambudi walked back a few steps, then sat down on the floor.

"What's wrong?" the male asked Prambudi.

"He's not coming by the moon" Prambudi scratched his scratching head though it didn't feel itchy.

"Stupid! How can you be mistaken? Haven't you always been right?" the stick guy snapped a little. He looks pissed.

"How do I know! I've been watching the place long enough to prepare for all this. During this time every house with porch lights out means they do not receive 'guests'. Which means they're coming by the moon. Fuck!," Prambudi swore.

Sinta was silent listening to the conversation of the two people before her. Now he knows how the kidnapper chose his target. Sinta was a little able to breathe a sigh of relief, as Sinta was not the person the kidnapper expected her to be.

"Keep, now what is Mbah?," Prambudi asked, still scratching his head.

"There are two options, first find another woman. Or the second we wait for this woman until the moon comes," The male stick offers a solution.

"Siaalla! Goddamn it!," Prambudi hit the floor several times.

Meanwhile, at Mbah Kadir's house some residents gathered carrying torches. Prapto, who used to take care of Mbah Kadir, was seen standing in front of the residents. His expression looked so serious. In front of her was Sumini and her husband.

"You're sure Sum, Mbah Kadir went to the skewer house?," Prapto asked, his mustache looking up and down according to his lips.

"Mbok is sworn. I met myself. I didn't even ask. He said he was going to that house. I'm not lying. If I lie to my husband I can be samber bledeg," replied Sumini lightly.

"Let's check out that skewer house sir!," shouted one of the residents in the back row

One word immediately ignites the spirit of other citizens. Everyone agreed to head home at the end of the fork.

"Mbat Retno was also lost in that house. And now Mbah Kadir. Who else tomorrow? Do not let all residents will be affected later. Well, that's why we searched the Skeleton House!," the other residents chimed in.

The atmosphere was getting boisterous, accompanied by the rain that had been reluctant to stop. Finally the residents decided to move immediately, walking towards the House of Skewers.
