The Sky Dragon Swordsman

The Sky Dragon Swordsman
#137's chat. Nishadas

After two weeks of riding, Chen Khu and Mathanadeva finally reached a gate that became the border of the Andhara kingdom and Nishada kingdom. A natural fortress in the form of a cliff, towering before them waiting to pass through to reach the first village in the work of Nishada.

Their journey had practically no meaningful hindrance until they finally reached the border. Mathanadeva deliberately chose not to use the main line to avoid events such as the time at the Kechandeep inn, however.. the second lunge of warriors who were able to kill dozens of members of the red lotus group has already spread among the community.

For that reason, for the past two weeks, Mathanadeva and Chen Khu prefer to spend the night in the forest rather than having to find lodging, because on the one hand.. the leader of the red lotus group started to target them as well as the Andhara warriors who also started to look for information about the two of them.

"After passing through the narrow gap that is on the cliff, we will pass a river that is wide enough then we will reach the first village.. " mathanadeva said shortly after passing the inspection at the border gate.

Chen Khu stared at the cliff before him.His heart was pounding, the desire to find his father was already very big, even though his father was not necessarily in the kingdom, anyway.. there was something that bothered Chen Khu's mind, even though he himself did not know what was troubling his mind.

"Your majesty, there is something that bothers my mind. I myself do not know what the cause is. It's just that, I feel I have to quickly complete this mission." said Chen Khu.

"Then we have to hurry, because the ship that serves the crossing only once a day. and if we are late.we are forced to wait until tomorrow to be able to cross the river.. " mathanadeva answered and then spurred his horse.

Mathanadeva slowed his horse's pace as it approached a gap in the cliff that was the only link between the Nishada kingdom and Andhara kingdom. Chen Khu who followed behind slowed down his horse while at Mathanadeva's side.

The two looked up at the towering cliffs on their left and right sides, despite seeing no one from below, but the two warriors could sense that tens or hundreds of pairs of eyes were watching them.

Despite feeling many watching eyes, there was not the slightest bit of worry on Mathanadeva's face, because Mathanadeva already knew that Yaseka did put a lot of soldiers in the area to guard because the area was previously always used as a nest by robbers because of its very supportive geographical conditions with a gap between the cliffs and it was perfect to make an ambush, but Mathanadeva did not expect that Jeseka put so many soldiers in that place.

Unlike Chen Khu who was wary when he sensed that someone was watching them, even though Chen Khu did not feel the evil aura of the people watching him, but seeing the condition of the road is very quiet, and it is something that is considered odd if the only access that can be passed is deserted by the traffic of traders, despite feeling the strangeness, the only access that can be passed is deserted by the traffic of traders, despite feeling the strangeness, Chen Khu refrained from revealing it to Mathanadeva.

When the two get to a turn, the, stung by a loud whistle, there were many ropes thrown from above, and dozens of people descended through the rope on the front and back of Mathanadeva and Chen Khu who were forced to stop their horses.

Mathanadeva was struck by the sight of dozens of people who arrived - suddenly blocked their journey and those people were not wearing Nishada royal warrior uniforms, he said, Mathanadeva tried to recall the moment they both entered the cliff, and then Mathanadeva shook her head when she noticed the negligence because the moment they both entered the cliff, Mathanadeva saw no banner of Nishada's kingdom fluttering at the end of the cliff, and Mathanadeva remembered it only now.

"What happened to Yaseka..?? why did he leave this place unattended..?? " murm Mathanadeva in his heart and then jump off his horse and draw his sword followed by Chen Khu who also jumped from his horse.

Shortly thereafter, a well-built man nearly two meters tall and with a thick mustache was seen descending the cliff quickly without using a rope and standing before Mathanadeva and Chen Khu fifteen meters away. Although his clothes were a little shabby but did not cover his face looked clean and the man also looked dignified unlike the robbers in general.

" What is the purpose of you entering this territory" said the man loudly.

" We are just passing by the master" replied Mathanadeva while looking carefully at the man's face, because Mathanadeva felt familiar with the man's face before him.

"You must be a swordsman hired by Narendra who seeks our existence and pretends to pass this path from Andhara" said the man again.

The name of Narendra.. Mathanadeva managed to recognize the man in front of him and immediately opened the nose covering cloth he was wearing.

"General Desmar.. What happened.. Why are you here..? and what happened to Narendra..? " said Mathanadeva then sheathed his sword again because it recognized the man before him was Desmar who was the General of Yaseka belief.

Desmar's mouth gaped when he recognized the face of Mathanadeva, he did not expect to meet the king of Gurjara at that place.

Although Desmar was not a king, Mathanadeva could recognize him and vice versa, because Desmar was a person who was always beside Yaseka, both during a visit to Kolakata, and when Mathanadeva visited Nishada.

"Forgive us the emperor Gurjara" Desmar said, bowing to Mathanadeva and signalling to his men to cancel the attack plan.

"What happened to Yeseka..? and as I recall, you were always with him and never far from him. "the question of Mathanadeva instantly made Desmar's facial expression change.

"The story is long, noble.if your majesty pleases. I hope your majesty can come to our hiding, and I will tell you everything." replied Desmar with a gloomy face.

Seeing the change in Desmar's countenance, Mathanadeva turned to Chen Khu as if asking for approval, and Chen Khu nodded in agreement after staring at the reddish sky, for the night was coming soon.

Chen Khu and Mathanadeva eventually follow Desmar who leads them on a fairly hidden path that turns out to be the path to the top of the cliff where hundreds of people have been waiting for them.

The men then walked into the forest and left only a few people to watch the road.
