“Iya, who is he?” Erli asked the question again.
“He Om I, Brother.”
Erli looked suspiciously at the girl who helped him walk.
“Then, why do you look so hard? Something going on?” Erli leaned on the young girl who was wiping him.
Suddenly the girl cried little and said softly, “I was told to steal, Brother. I almost got caught, but luckily my brother fell. So I had a chance to go from there,” he explained while showing his stolen goods behind the jacket he was wearing.
Netra Erli looked up, looking at some of the items in the pockets in the fur-feather jacket made of sheepskin that Wati wore.
“God's Passion, Son. Brother help report him to the police, yes! So that you are free from him,” said Erli while looking at the old man who was still watching them from a distance.
In his rage Erli asked the name of the young girl, “Who is your name?”
“My name, Wati. No, Brother! I'm scared.” Wati looked at Erli with tears in her eyes.
“Relax darling, there is a Big Brother who will protect you! What's important now is that you don't want to report the bad guy?” asked Erli excitedly.
For a moment Wati fell silent, a look of uneasiness on the young girl's face.
“Do not hesitate and quickly decide! Don't take this matter lightly. Try to imagine! If you keep quiet, when will you steal? Lucky if not caught, if there is someone who sees you in what time?” concluded Erli, he tried to convince Wati who is still innocent.
Slowly the girl's head nodded and Erli helped open the car door.
“Don't rush off, you stay here first! Brother wants to wake her first,” pinta Erli while shaking her husband's body.
Rafan's hands rubbed his eyes and sighed in annoyance, “You don't like it, see I'm calm? What do you want?” He looked at his wife questioningly.
“Well, who is this?” Netra Rafan looked at a girl standing next to Erli.
“Do not ask much!” snapped Erli.
“How dare you yell at me?" Rafan stared hard at Erli.
At least Erli did not mengubris her husband's words, even she instead talked to the taxi driver.
“Nearby police station where, yes Sir?” Erli's hand grabbed his bag that was next to Rafan sitting down.
“Lumayan far away, Mistress. What's the matter?” The taxi driver turned his gaze towards Rafan's wife who was still standing next to the door.
“This girl was bullied by her Om. Even he was forced to steal for the sake of the jerk man,”, Erli said as he turned to the bongsor man.
“Try you story again, Honey!” pinta Erli's.
The girl told me everything she had experienced since the age of nine. The miracle of Denis—Om Wati could have sexually abused her own niece, when Wati was still sitting on the bench in sixth grade Elementary.
The incident has happened repeatedly since Wati's parents died in an accident, he also could not complain about the tragedy because Denis always threatened to kill Wati's nine-year-old brother.
“I call my sister-in-law only, she happens to be a police officer.” The taxi driver immediately grabbed his cell phone which was located in his pants pocket.
Suddenly Denis pulls the rough hand of his nephew, making Erli startled and screaming loudly. The people around him were huddling and asking what was going on.
“Jelemeh ne, kal nyulik niece pole! This guy, is going to kidnap my niece!” accuse Denis—the one who bullied Wati.
The weeping Wati was speechless, although the girl had shook her head, but the citizens paid no heed to her. In fact, residents are more trusting with the words of Denis—sang oppressor.
Everyone shouted to judge Erli. Seeing his wife in danger Rafan comes out and tries to defend Erli. However, the time does not listen to Rafan's explanation. In fact, they accused Rafan and the taxi driver as a plot Erli who works as a kidnapper.
“If you don't obey my words, my son will kill me!” the old man whispered in Wati's ear.
“Don't Om, don't hurt Son. Wati beg ...," pinta Wati with Isak crying.
“Say to the public that they want to kidnap you!” tell Denis to grin.
Fati was in a rage, the young girl was still crying. In the depths of his heart he did not want to do this, but he also did not want to see his sister die.
Forgive Wati, Brother! Wati did this for the sake of the Son, he murmured inwardly.
Not long after the taxi driver's sister-in-law came in with two other policemen.
“What is this?” ask Andika—adik taxi driver.
“They want to kidnap this nephew of the Father, sir,” said the skinny man.
“Do not accuse! You guys have proof that they're gonna kidnap?” Andika asked back.
All the people were silent and some of them were whispering.
“If there is no evidence or witnesses can not play catch or gang up on people. You can be charged with persecution, even you can be fined hundreds as well,” Andika said in a loud voice.
Instantly the people retreated and loosened their circle. Andika approaches Wati and asks what happened, the frightened Wati looks at Denis for a moment and looks back at Andika's face.
“You don't be afraid! Come on, tell me everything that happened earlier!” order Andika kalem, “is it true you will be kidnapped them?” Andika chimed in her talk.
“I-iya Sir!” answer Wati stuttering.
“Bapak can hear themselves, right, they are indeed a horde of kidnappers who have been troubling the citizens of Ubud!” he covered his worries.
“If you lie, you will be imprisoned,” threatened Andika.
Denis drew closer Wati's hand and exclaimed, “Don't threaten a child, sir! If threatened like that he will be afraid will continue to give false testimony,” Denis said with bulging eyes.
“Quick say! Who are they and what do they want?” Denis' hand gripped Wati's shoulder with all his might.
It made the girl grimace in pain, Wati firmly held back and made her statement about Erli.
Wati's index finger was pointing at Erli with her floor she spoke, “He's the kidnapper, sir! She persuaded me to go with.”
Andika and her two colleagues stared at Erli, in the silence of the people Erli laughed out loud at Wati's unsubstantiated accusations.
