The Story Behind the Curtain

The Story Behind the Curtain
Story End

Erli was still waiting to hear Zulaika's offer. On the eve of Alkaiz Erli's aqiqah he was insulted, expelled by his father-in-law and today he is shocked by the arrival of Zulaika and Handoko—ibu as well as her husband's uncle.

Where the two men had their own intentions, the mother of her husband asked her to return to her magnificent home. While Handoko came to apologize for all her bad deeds a few days ago, the young mother was very worried and also worried.

What if her husband's uncle had more bad intentions towards her and she was also worried about Alkaiz's future, Erli did not want her child to grow up to hear that his birth in this world was a mistake.

I will not accept that. It hasn't happened that I've been goosebumps what else until it happened, really, how was I then? he said in his heart.

"Get!" call gentle Zulaika.

Erli gasped at her in-laws face.

"What's up, Mom?" asked Erli in a daze.

"Astagfirullah Nak ..," complained Zulaika with a small shaking head, "what are you thinking? Are you thinking bad things about mom?" he guessed Erli's mind.

Her in-laws' guess was right, she was really thinking about Alkaiz's future which was not guaranteed. Not a treasure thing or anything like that, Erli was afraid that his past would be known to his son; that he was not Rafan's son but someone else's son and his father did not admit it.

"No, I didn't allow that to happen to Al." He thought he was talking inwardly, in fact the conscience came out so loud that the official in the room heard clearly the words of his nephew.

Because it does not want to happen something that is beyond the control of the official came out to two women who had been discussing, not discussion but seduction. Yes, Zulaika is seducing her daughter-in-law to come home with her.

Surprised? Of course the middle-aged woman was shocked and Zulaika's shock beat the person who got the lottery. His eyes widened that forehead shriveled and clearly his face reddened, not angry but he was embarrassed by Erli—sang son-in-law.

His mistake on that night had a long tail until he made Erli feel depressed, the sentence salt child made a wound in Erli's heart. However, he always tried to forget the incident, but his brain always remembered clearly Zulaika's dislike.

Plus, Zulaika chased him away without hearing the explanation he was about to say.

"Mom better get home!" His voice was firm not kidding in speech.

"You ... reject mom?" reply with a calm voice.

"Erli could not give an answer at this time. Erli beg you not to misunderstand Erli's words!" he said while holding Zulaika's fingers.

The lips of the middle-aged woman reviewed the smile, but it was clearly a disappointment on her face. Zulaika's right hand grabbed her tote bag and left without seeing the official again.

"Assalamualaikum," his greeting sounded softly.

Zulaika pulled the corner of her hijab that she felt tilted, the feeling of the middle-aged woman was increasingly unreasonable until she continued to explore possibilities that were not yet true.

Half an hour passed Rafan entered the house with a loud breath. Erli's eyebrows linked to find her husband's sweat pouring out.

"You're running out of the marathon, Mom?" The question that was thrown from Erli's lips sounded mocking in Rafan's ears so that the man straightened his body and went inside without saying his usual greeting.

"Mas!" call Erli while approaching the husband who put on the face of sangar.

"Why are you, Mas? Is something troubling your mind? Then, where's your car?" flocked Erli without pause.

Instead of answering Rafan left Erli in the living room with his head spinning following Rafan's steps towards the back.

"Well, I was left alone." Still staring at her husband's curious eyes.

"Don't she know, if I refuse her mother's invitation. But, mother is not a typical person who easily complains," he thought while refuting his chin with his left hand.

A second later Erli raised his chin then returned to the room accompanying Alkaiz to sleep. After a few minutes, Rafan entered the room without knocking on the door.

Erli was not surprised, but she turned her head to make sure her husband was in good shape.

"Why?" Rafan raised both eyebrows.

"What are you doing?" Erli sat cross-legged staring intensely at her husband who was drying her hair.

"Back asking." Rafan hangs a towel on a hanger, "then mom's here?" continue with a flat face.

Erli nodded and squeaked, "Heem."

"What's it in your interest to come here?" Glancing at his wife then, looked back at Alkaiz's tiny face.

"Nothing!" quickly answer.

Rafan turned his head, his eyes sharpened as if piercing his wife's black bead.

Erli pushed softly on Rafan's arm, "What the hell, Mas!" protest with a sweet mouth.

"Quick say! Why are you here and what do you want?" press Rafan who is currently sitting parallel to Erli.

"E .. nothing. He just wants to see me" Erli said, turning his face away.

"Well, if you don't want to answer my question properly. All right, if you don't want to answer my question correctly." Rafan moved from his seat to the closet.

"What do you want to do, Mas?" erli asked as she approached her husband.

"Go home to the apartment" he said in an annoyed tone of voice.

Erli moved uneasily to see her husband sulking, usually her sulking, but this time it was reversed.

Rafan doesn't really want to leave here, he just wants to hear stories about his mother's visit. His mind would not calm down before knowing the meaning of the mother's arrival.

"Mom wants me to go back to her house!" Erli exclaimed loudly, to the point that Alkaiz woke up from his deep sleep.

The sound of the cry of the little man made Rasmi run in droves.

"Alkhaiz kunaon, neng? Alkaiz why, neng?" ask the official from the front of the door while knocking slowly.

"Teu kunanaon, Bik. Ngan reuwaseun," he replied from inside the room.

Official Eyebrows almost fused as his forehead shriveled.

"Nothing, but how come the cry is so rich?" official word astonishment.

The 43-year-old woman walked away without even looking at her niece's room.

Rafan's attention goes back to the wife who is still breastfeeding Alkaiz.

"Lantas, what's your decision?" curious said.

"Tompe your things! We're moving into my apartment" Rafan said firmly.

Erli frowned, "Why are we going to the apartment?" The look on Alkaiz's mother's face depicts her disapproval of Rafan's plans.

"Are you going home again? No, right!"

"Sokay know!" ketus Erli as he widened his eyes, "i still want to calm down first before staying at home again mother." Erli's words made Rafan's heart whistle happily.

However, she hid her feelings as best she could so that Erli did not have any strange thoughts about her.

"Then?"

"Give me a day or a day to debunk bad prejudices" he said with his head bowed.

Rafan covered both his hands in part of Erli's face.

"Are you sure you want to go home to my parents?" ask Rafa to make sure.

The head nodded giving an answer to the husband's question.

"Really!"

"Yes Mas. But, I want you to give me a minute!" the door was soft while laying down Alkaiz's small body.

...****************...

Two days passed, now was the time for Erli and Rafan to return home at Zulaika's residence. The large whitewashed house was still the same, the sound of laughter was clearly heard from the terrace.

"Is there an event in there?" erli asked with his head looking up at the husband's sad face.

"Maybe," he said lightly.

Erli patted his own eel and let out a long sigh.

"Why?" Rafan pulled Erli's chin until his face was clearly visible.

"You're that, asked like that!" cetus with pursed lips.

"Come, we're in! Let's see what they're doing together," asked Rafan snatched Erli's lips bringas.

Erli hit the man's chest and his eyes swerved warning him not to do so again.

"You're my woman! Alright if I do that perverted thing," said Rafan teasing Erli who was hit by nervousness.

"But not—" Again Rafan kissed his lips repeatedly.

Erli who was annoyed at Rafan's behavior walked quickly and opened the door.

"Assalamualaik." Erli's loud voice echoed in the main room.

Everyone stopped their activities, some people in the middle room peeked.

"Alhamdulillah .. Mother's daughter-in-law went home too." The middle-aged lung woman's lips continued to review the smile as if to tell that she really liked coming to diarrhea.

Rania ran so hard that her hands nudged the antique flower vase obtained from the ginseng Country. The girl in her twenties shouted to her mother.

"Mother ... Nia apologize!" jerit Rania who was still running small approached her sister-in-law.

The young girl scattered her embrace.

"Nia was very upset with Ma'am" he said, kissing the nephew's cheek, "the ten cute little men," he added, peering at the older brother standing behind Erli.

Erli's arrival was welcomed happily by all members of Zulaika's extended family. Om, Aunt and nephew Rafan smiled happily at a meal together.

Their small talk inspired Erli a lot. In the midst of the family crowd Rafan told me, Erli had the desire to have a harmonious family like this.

"Why you?" whiskey Rafan.

"I'm amazed at the closeness of them all. There is no disagreement and there are always stories of excitement at every meeting" he explained, commenting on a smile.

"Then?" Staring at his wife's face.

"Oh, dark!" ketus Erli with widened eyes.

Not the anger printed on Rafan's face, but the amused expression he had been hiding.
