Chapter 28: The True Power

After a very long job Meldy and Nio spend time alone with a canned drink in their hands.

"A cold drink after working hard is best."

Nio only responded to Meldy's words with a warm smile, she acted like a career woman who had finished her overtime.

Nio drank his drink then threw his can into the trash can in front of him, Meldy who saw him become challenged and did the same unfortunately his throw shot far.

"Ugh. I'll try again."

Seeing the funny behavior, Nio just laughed so much that he puffed his cheeks and tried again, from a distance of half a meter then Meldy could enter it perfectly.

"Do you see Nio, this is my true ability."

Nio clapped at Meldy who puffed his chest proud, he wanted something like this to go smoothly but whether he could make it happen or not depends on him.

"Why are you silent Nio?"

"Well, Meldy, why did you become a Western High School spy?"

Attacked by the word, Meldy's face paled. The reason why Edo did not come to school today is because Meldy attacked him so he had to be hospitalized.

That thing Nio made sure through the call.

Most likely Edo has noticed it and is trying to stop Meldy.

Hearing that Meldy only let out a long sigh and then said while tilting his head, the previously innocent gaze had disappeared replaced with a cold look.

Nio took the phone and contacted someone.

"Can you free up your influence on Meldy, he's not your spy anymore."

Knowing who Meldy called lost his footing.

Nio's words became more serious.

"Well Risa, let's make a new deal.What I asked you before I want to replace it."

"That calls you Onii-chan isn't it, then what is it?"

"If I can defeat you I want your influence removed from Meldy in other words the debt is removed."

"It doesn't matter, if I'm going to close this conversation."

Risa's movement stopped.

Tears flowed from Meldy's face until she fell limp and sat limp on the floor.

"I'll protect all that."

Nio glanced towards Damian who had been standing at the corner of another wall, Damian has learned the truth and Nio cuts off what he is going to do to Meldy right now and takes the responsibility on his shoulders.

Damian just walked away while muttering.
